no one asked for this. I hate myself for writing this, but after a conversation I had earlier, this came from it. enjoy :)))

“Are we actually going to put this on YouTube?” Hyunjin asks with a weary expression on his face. Changbin, practically exploding with excitement, nods with so much enthusiasm that his hair falls all out of position as he hands Hyunjin a pastel pink coloured hoodie.

“It’s going to be so cute. Our little Hyunjinnie dancing to Twice, think about how cute you will look!” Changbin says, before springing off to hand Jeongin the baby blue hoodie. Chan had made all the boys learn three Twice songs - Heart Shaker, Likey, and TT - but had failed to tell them why. Then this morning as they headed to the dance studio for practise, JYP had sprung them himself and broke the news.

The reaction had been a real mixed bag; Changbin, Woojin, Jisung and Felix had practically screamed with excitement, Seungmin and Jeongin were shell shocked, Minho and Hyunjin had practically crumbled at the concept. Cute had never been Hyunjin’s thing, and Minho had visions of his career ending because he imitated one of the girls wrong.

This was in honour of celebrating Twice’s newest comeback, What is Love, and the release of Stray Kid’s debut. They had debuted about a month ago now, and were coming towards the end of the promotions for District 9, so apparently JYP thought this would be an amazing opportunity. Chan - being the obnoxious, stubborn leader he could be - agreed to the idea, knowing how each member would react.

“It could be worse, Hyunjinnie,” Jeongin says as they step into the White Room, which has been decorated by Twice themselves - they had thought the concept was an incredible as Chan had, and asked if they could decorate it with various soft bears, streamers and fairy lights. “They could’ve made us wear dresses!” The thought itself makes Hyunjin collapse to the floor, already ready to give up.

As much as he hated the idea, Minho couldn’t help but admit how good the girls were at designing. The massive teddy bear in the corner seemed to watch them all, and it put Hyunjin even more on edge when Jeongin joked about Tzuyu from Twice hiding in there.

The boys were allowed to listen and practise the songs once before they recorded the whole thing, and Woojin and Felix couldn’t be more excited. Woojin had recently dyed his hair platinum blonde again, matching Felix, and with his blue cardigan - that he had chosen himself - and Felix’s pastel blue beanie and matching hoodie, the boys were definitely going for the cute theme. Changbin had also picked out a knitted purple and white cardigan, and where the boys had found them was beyond Chan.

Seungmin and Jeongin at this point were now buzzing with nervous energy - all nine of the Stray Kids had a huge amount of respect for Twice as their ‘older sisters’ in the company, and Chan was particularly close with them after having trained with many of them for so many years. As a result, it definitely made the members want to impress them with their dance skills; especially the younger members.

“It could be much worse actually, Hyunjin,” Felix says, hugging the older boy from behind and looking at Hyunjin with a big grin, “they could make you sing as well. Imagine that-”

“Is it too late for me to un-debut?” Hyunjin asks, making the other eight boys and several cameramen around the room laugh. Minho just shakes his head, getting into position for the first song they’d be performing, Heart Shaker. Jisung would be starting the song, and was bouncing on the spot with nervous energy, ready to show the world what he was really capable - the cutest of cute girl group concepts. His strawberry blond hair had been styled long and messy today, making him look even cuter than usual.

Hyunjin and Minho are forced against their wills into the positions, and the music starts before they are even all ready. As usual, Jisung gives it his all, acting far too cute for the world to hand. This practise is fairly quiet as the boys are all focused on getting the dance right - and as soon as they are done, the music is started again and the camera’s are switched on.

“Let’s go boys!” Chan says before the music starts, and Hyunjin has to stifle his groan of complaint into the pink of the hoodie. The song is fast, the dance too cute, and Felix can’t help but squeal as the chorus comes up.

When Chan has to run up and wrap his arms around Felix’s waist for the dance move, Woojin squeals so high-pitched that Seungmin, Jeongin and Chan all burst into laughter. Hyunjin and Minho, despite their discontentment, can’t help but smile as well at the madness they call their group.

The dance goes really smoothly somehow, with Changbin ending it by exclaiming how adorable Hyunjin was. This was followed by Chan thanking Minho for being cooperative, and Jeongin jumping on Hyunjin to attack him in a hug.

“You better get me the biggest portion of chicken nuggets following this, Chan,” Hyunjin warns as Likey begins to play, and Jeongin squeals in excitement - this is definitely his favourite Twice song, and after spending a whole afternoon rehearsing it with Twice himself just in order to get it perfect, he is determined to prove how cute he can be.

“And I want full control over the television tonight,” Minho grunts before the practise dance starts. As usual, Jisung, Changbin and Jeongin ace the cuteness of the dance, but Minho seems to have the actual dance itself down - if the world didn’t know better, they would’ve said he had choreographed the dance for Twice himself.

When the actual recording for Likey starts, Jeongin cranks the adorableness up to full and definitely steals the show with his cute expressions, finger hearts and squeals. Even Seungmin and Felix begin fangirling over how adorable he is, bringing a smile to Hyunjin’s face. Minho does the centre solo dance, making Chan, Woojin and Changbin scream when he gets it perfect. Jeongin also has the dance perfect, all the effort that he put in to impressing the girls paying off well.

For the third dance, TT, the Twice girls show up themselves with fancy-dress hats and various other costume outfits. Seungmin joins Minho and Hyunjin in the groan that escapes them as a collective at the thought of dressing up.

“You told me there would be no dresses!” Hyunjin explodes, turning to an evil looking Changbin who is already dressing in the bunny ears and soft white fur coat from Dahyun. He just shrugs in response, before winking at Hyunjin and handing him the green skirt, pearl necklace and starfish hair accessory from Chaeyoung.

The entire group adds fuel to the fire by laughing at the outfit that Hyunjin has ended up with, the mermaid costume. Hyunjin is so close to refusing and just terminating his contract with JYP right there and then, but stops when Jeongin walks over, already dressed in the navy hat and sparkling navy cape of Tzuyu’s outfit.

He takes the skirt, which is a weird sequin zip-up skirt, and pulls it around Hyunjin’s waist. With his black, ripped skinny jeans underneath and the pink jumper, Hyunjin was definitely redefining fashion. Then he clasps the pearls around his neck and, puts the starfish clip in his hair, and gives him a proud smile.

“Just one song, Hyunjinnie, you can do this,” Jeongin says, before turning to help Felix fix the hat on to his hair. Hyunjin takes in a deep breath, that he holds on to for the entirety of the song. He is beyond ready for this, and if he is still a member of Stray Kids afterwards, he better be getting a huge thank you from his bandmates.

The song starts, and with the skirt, it’s nearly impossible for Hyunjin to dance. Instead he focuses on how ridiculous that Changbin looks, prancing around in his bunny outfit, and laughing at that instead. It’s easier than realising this performance could ruin his image.

The song takes a thousand years to pass, but when it does, he does not hesitate to unzip the skirt, pull off his hoodie, and collapse on the floor. The Twice members are all making an effort to coo even louder at Hyunjin, with his Stray Kids members doing the same as Minho and Seungmin collapse beside him. Chan takes a photo, posting it to the Stray Kids Instagram with a caption of “Just wait!” and a bunch of heart emojis.

“This is how my career ends,” Seungmin cries into the floor, “In a devils outfit.” Hyunjin can’t help but snort in laughter; whilst he probably looked like a clown wearing the starfish hairpiece and jewellery, at least he wasn’t entirely dressed in a short red dress over his jeans and a devil’s headpiece.

Much to the three despaired boys’ delight, some of the Twice members return with Hyunjin and Minho’s specific requests; a huge bucket of chicken nuggets, and the television remote with Minho’s name on it. Hyunjin disappears to beside the huge teddy bear whilst eating his nuggets and letting the other boys mock each other for their outfits, and Minho is defending the television remote for his life from a pirate-dressed Woojin.

Jeongin spends a long time at Seungmin’s side, still wearing the navy cloak and poking his friend, waiting for Seungmin to come out of his grieving mood and actually realise how cute he looked throughout the video.

“If we aren’t given an award after this, I’m quitting,” Seungmin says, sending all eighteen people in the room into fights of laughter as a result.
