Shout out to one of my HSR and Genshin buddies: @marrondrawsalot for telling me about Boothill canonically has an daughter..an adoptive daughter.

Warning: This is base on leaks for the update of HSR so I may be wrong..but doesn’t hurt to try

You always caught Boothill remember the memories of his adoptive daughter. How he look so hurt yet tried not to cry for your sake. It pained you to see him cry to himself, cursing the IPC of removing the planet and the daughter he love so dearly.

So one day you lead Boothill to your shared bedroom. “Eh, what do you want me to see sugar?” Boothill ask you as you giggle, ignoring his question as you position him in front of bed and tell him to look.

When he did, he couldn’t believe his eyes. A young daughter not as much older as 4 years old, sleeping peacefully on your shared bed. “Is she..” Boothill trailed off, couldn’t believe his eyes and you confirmed it. “She is our adoptive daughter. She is part of the family now.” You have never seen Boothill this emotional before, he hugged you crying and gently kissed your forehead. “Thank you..”

What a beautiful wholesome moment. Boothill can now finally be a father again.

Gentle reminder that Boothill is a cyborg, not a robot. We know that his head is still human, so he has a functioning brain and maybe even partly a spine. The base for a nervous system is right there. It makes no sense to assume he cannot feel his body at all.

His LC implies the existence of an artifical heart and blood even.

Given how flexible his body is it also makes no sense that he's entirely made of metal. More like metal plating on top of a more flexible material. Maybe he has cybernetic muscles(like the cyborgs in the Metal Gear series), which would allow for such flexible movement.

But, he can't turn himself on/off, he has no system that can somehow bluescreen or something similar. He has a brain. Depending on the technology for cyborgs in HSR, he might have a fully functioning nervous system like actual humans have.

Modifications? Definitely. Maybe he can turn on/off his senses altogether even.

The livestream also confirmed that he gets his own modifications and upgrades. So if you wanna go down a certain route, there is no reason to assume he didn't get himself certain body parts at some point that might even be fully functional.

He can also eat and drink normal stuff. He tells Black Swan that she should prepare a bottle of White Oak(I'd assume it's a kind of whiskey) and that he'll raise a glass to her.

Even Screwllum as an android is capable of eating and breaking down normal food.

Now, it is possible that Hoyo does go down a rather robotic route with him after all, but given what we know so far there is no reason to assume Boothill can only feel his face. Especially given what inorganic lifeforms in HSR are already capable of(with Screwllum even saying that there was a time when organic and inorganic lifeforms were hardly distinguishable).

Cyborgs are such a fascinating topic in sci-fi, so breaking Boothill down to being nothing more than a robot, doesn't do him and cyborgs in general justice.

everyone’s least fav boothill thinker (me) has a work in their notes app but chooses to dump some thoughts here too

so boothill doesn’t need sleep, at least i don’t think he does. with state of the art technology, a few upgrades once in a while, and sheer willpower, he can be ‘awake’ for longer periods of time. so after a long day of fighting some ‘ipc cuties’ as he’d call them, he comes back to you exhausted.

he forgets that he’s made out of metal in this tired state and leans into you, giving you a lazy back hug. it doesn’t charge him up but it sure does charge up his mental battery. he’s heavy but slowly, you were able to drag him to his power station. it’s right next to the bed so it gives him a moment to cuddle you as his body charges up.

2.1 spoilers ahead!

Now that I had time to sit on what happened in 2.1 and gather my thoughts. I just want to say that 2.1 has been the best patch so far. In 2.0 HSR did a wonderful job showing all these different fractions within Penacony and how every single one of them had their own agendas. In 2.1 we got to see what their agendas were and how they were going to/are playing out.

The different POVs were a wonderful and amazing addition to the story. It was really nice being able to see and play the same story from another character's perspective.

Aventurine was by far the best character in Penacony for me. The way his story was told was amazing and being to play from his POV allowed us so much more insight into his character. The way his backstory was told, the way he planned to "kill" himself, and the way he finally came to terms with his own past, present, and future were so good some parts of his story genuinely brought tears to my eyes. Seeing Acheron come to the realization of his plan and taking away harmony's curse off of him and giving him a second chance and an out from the IPC I don't even have words to describe how much I loved that scene. There's also his and ratio's relationship I loved every second of their interactions. Their plan for ratio to betray him, ratio giving medicine to aventurine to use when he's close to death god every second of their interaction was amazing I could go on forever about them. I am very excited to see where his story will go on from here.

There's also the fact we got to hear Boothill's voice and holy shit I'm so excited to see him! The interactions between Acheron and Welt had me hooked I desperately need more interactions between them.

The way 2.1 ended has me so excited for 2.2. I never expected Gallagher to be excused of "killing" Robin it was an unexpected twist but I loved it very much. I have so many questions after that ending did Gallagher kill sunday? Is Gallagher truly responsible for the murders that have been happening in penacony? What happened to Robin? Where is Robin? Overall I can't wait for 2.2!!!
