#anyway there is never going to be new information on spartacus. to love spartacus is to accept the fact that we know maybe 5 things #about him and those five things are dissected through a roman lense #however this book is very fun to read from a stand point of 'makes my imagination go brrrr' and 'feels like summer' #idk what the point of these tags are. i keep thinking about the review of it saying that it was disappointing for not having more historical #sources and mostly being speculative in the details #like??? what did you EXPECT #once you leave the source book all that's left is to explore and engage and try to figure out how you would paint the image #that one text talking about the active attempt to wipe out spartacus from the collective roman memory #and how roman memory tried to pull the same trick on brutus and cassius. but they endure despite despite despite #bejrhg it's 4am im going to bed now #spartacus #crixus #i'll figure out a separate tag from my roman republic tag in a few hours. timeline wise? it fits. content wise? no. #drawing tag #spartacus tag
