When did get into ons fandom and when did become gureshin stan?

i'm not exactly sure but i think i first watched the anime december 2019 and then caught up to the manga pretty quickly. so i never got to experience the joy of opening a new chapter and seeing gureshin in it. horribly tragic.

as to when i started liking them i think i made the switch from mikayuu to them gradually while reading the manga because they just got more and more depressing as time went on and my brain likes that for whatever reason. except my brain also likes getting closure. which there is none of so i'm chilling in eternal limbo❤

A Guarantee

A little muse by a little prompt about dreams, more like nightmares. When a case goes south and you keep the closest person to you at arm's length it shouldn't surprise you when she finally confronts you about it. She can only give you space for so long.

"When did you get in?"

The dream was always the same. It had been since the accident and you couldn't shake it. No matter how many calming apps you used or meditation sessions you did before bed, you always woke up in a sweat and couldn't get back to sleep.

You almost fell out of your chair which only made the smirk on the blondes sultry lips grow but her eyes were full of concern. "Six.. I think. Why, what's the time?"

"0645." She learnt forward, placing a full cup of coffee beside your left hand. Her hand retracting, grazing your shoulder and down your arm before resting back onto the cabinet behind your desk.

You rubbed your eyes and took a sip of your favourite coffee. You hummed feeling the slight burn and promise of energy.

"Next question." She continued, still talking to the back of your head. "What time did you wake up this morning?"

You groaned and felt Jack's hand grip onto the back of your chair and spin you around. Her eyes searching yours, the smirk gone, she was concerned.

"You've been off all week. What's going on?"

You shrugged and regretted it, you saw the hurt cross her eyes before her guard was back up. It wasn't long ago that you two were close, spending time sparring in the gym, nights out or in watching a movie over wine and then you took a step back. After the fifth raincheck Jack had given up and said if you wanted to hang out you can ask. That was two weeks ago.

Four weeks ago Jack had gone in the field with you to help find a suspect but the suspect got the drop on you both. He managed to knock you out first and then almost killed Jack if it wasn't for Ellie. She was waiting by the back to intercept if need be and lucky she was.

"Hey.. Where were you just then?" Jack brought her hand up to cup your cheek, her touch pulling you back to the present. "Is this all about the Denmarc case?"

She got her answer by your evasion to look her in the eye and your shift out and away from her touch. That you definitely never do.

"Y/n." Her voice was shaky, her hand dropping down to your shoulder. "Look at me."

You couldn't, if you did you'd see her bruised lip, blood dripping down her cheek from her cut that was just starting to heal above her eyebrow. "Jack.."

Her hand squeezed your shoulder gently, this time you didn't move. You closed your eyes at her touch, but your mind just replayed the visions of her lying unconcious on the floor. "I'm right here. I'm fine. Please look at me, Y/n."

Her hand moved up to your cheek again, her thumb brushing across your cheek, drawing your eyes open.

"We are good."

"I didn't protect you, everytime I close my eyes I see it replay over and over and it always ends the same. You on the floor, not breathing, you're..." You couldn't finish that sentence, a year rolling down your cheek.

Jack's thumb swiped it away. She placed her coffee on the cabinet and stood up, her hands reaching for yours, pulling you up and into a hug. One hand coming up to hold the back of your head while you cried into her neck, the other wrapping around your waist, holding you close. "I didn't protect you, I watched him hit you and knock you out right before..right before Ellie came in and shot the bastard." She held you tighter, your son's becoming softer as she spoke and stroked the back of your head. "Is this why you've been avoiding me? Because you feel guilty?" She pulled back, her hand coming around to cup your cheek and wipe the tears away.

"Partly. Couldn't stand to lose you and.." You shrugged.

"And if I wasn't close, then you wouldn't really lose me at all?" She raised her eyebrow, she knew you so well. "Can't get away from me that easily." She smiled and you laughed.

"You're dam stubborn that's for sure." One hand still wrapped around her waist, you reached up with your other and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

She closed her eyes at the touch and you leant forward, ghosting your lips over hers, waiting, hoping you read the moment right.

She inhaled quickly at the soft touch, the reaction making you smile and kiss the corner of her mouth.

"Such a tease."

You leant your forehead against hers. " Me?!" You replied with a little too much shock and smirk.

"Kiss me and I'll help the nightmare go away." She rubbed her nose back and forth against yours gently, waiting.

"That a promise?"

"A guarantee."

That's all you needed, although you were pretty sure later when you replayed that first kiss over and over while lying awake in her arms as she slept beside you that she definitely kissed you. With a smile on your lips, her arm pulling you more into her chest as you drifted off to sleep without a worry in the world.

The Merrell Twins: A Birthday Featurette

"Hey guys! I'm Veronica, I'm Vanessa and today we're doing the [name of challenge]!- their signature intro before every video

Kind-hearted, pretty and talented, these 3 words are not enough to describe my most favorite YouTube duo, Veronica "Roni" Merrell and Vanessa "Nessa" Merrell, also known as the "Merrell Twins".

Born to parents Paul and Wendy Merrell on August 6, 1996 in their hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, Veronica and Vanessa are 2 talented girls who had dreams of becoming stars and therefore decided to move to Los Angeles in the middle of their sophomore year of high school to pursue their dreams.

Because of not having prior experiences in acting, Roni and Nessa sadly were not landing any roles. Still motivated with pursuing their dreams, they used YouTube as a platform to showcase their talents in singing and acting by doing skits, challenges and shorts on their YouTube channel "Merrell Twins". They uploaded a few videos, left it, came back to it and upon landing their first paycheck of $100, they figured that YouTube was the platform for them.

Now at 25 years of age, Roni and Nessa have proven that there is nothing stopping them from reaching their dreams. With numerous acting credits, digital awards and just about millions of followers on social media, they are indeed 2 of the most influential people on the platform of digital media.

For this special blog entry just for their 25th birthday, I will be telling the story of how I got to discover and love them and of course, give them a special birthday message.

I first discovered the Merrell Twins on a regular day at home, quarantined because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first video I had ever watched of them was their video "Trying Filipino Snacks". Being Filipino, this video hit home. It also sparked my curiosity at how Americans react to some of my favorite snacks growing up. My first impression of them was that they were cute and pretty, and that they were giving their honest reactions about the snacks that they were trying. I was honestly very entertained by the video that I did not realize that I was already binge-watching their videos with a smile on my face.

From that day on, I became a subscriber, patiently awaiting every Wednesday morning (for me) for a new video on their channel. And watching their video right at the hour I wake up instantly puts my day into a happy start. Their love, passion and dedication just emanates from the screen and the smiles on their faces are always showing in every video, including those with gross challenges. Subscribing and watching them also became a gateway for me to discover other YouTubers such as Collins Key and Brooklyn and Bailey among others.

I can say that I am a proud member of the Twinner family ("Twinners" is the official fandom name of the twins) since 2020. I honestly do not know what my 2020 would look like if I hadn't discovered Roni and Nessa because they are one of the reasons why my 2020 was bright instead of dark. They kept me smiling through tough times and happy when I'm sad. They also have this mantra that I really love which is "Rejection is Protection". I quietly whisper that to myself every time I'm feeling down and it lifts my spirit up. It is a good mantra to remember.

Now, for my birthday message for them:

Dearest Roni and Nessa, first of all, happy 25th birthday. I hope that you are both safe and well. I wish you both nothing but the best in everything, in your lives, in your careers, in your relationships with family, friends, pets and significant others. Thank you for lifting the spirits of every single person in the fandom. Thank you for being a source of inspiration and motivation to young girls out there. I honestly could go on and on just thanking you both for everything that you have done for me starting from the day that I have discovered you up to now. I also have you to thank for my current obsession with Star Wars, your love for that franchise is influential that you got me hooked in. All those aside, I just hope that with you both growing older, you also grow wiser and smarter. Continue being the kind-hearted and passionate gals that you are and continue to inspire and be a beacon of light to every Twinner in the fandom. I will always love and support you both and I hope that you both live long, prosperous and fulfilling lives because that is what you deserve. You girls are just 2 of the best girls in the galaxy and may the force be with you, always! From my heart in the Philippines to yours in LA, Happy Birthday and lots of love!

Woah, I could honestly write a lot more than that because I really love them so much because of more reasons than my brain could process at the moment. But that is another entry for another day.
