#loosing my whole mind over some knights right now #gabriel fucks around with arthuriana #anyway the galahad thing is interesting bc a different essay called him something like an artificial character bc he doesn't inherently #come from the same place as the other nights: he sort of is...invented out of nothing #and there's a neat idea about an act of self creation here but there's an EQUALLY interesting conversation about how #galahad does not exist in the same way that these other knights do regarding injuries #is it the religious? is it the not belonging? is it the rejection of the narrative that all these other characters exist in? #it's actually how percival bors and galahad all go on an adventure together and even in THAT galahad doesn't seem to exist #in the same landscape as percival and bors. it's just percival chasing after galahad and not realizing he'll always be out of reach #anyway medieval knight narratives = queer narratives but ESPECIALLY trans narratives as i am trans and projecting like HELL
