So, I started reading Soldier Son for the 4th time. I hope I can make it until the end now.

I can’t help compare Sil to Molly when one of her distinctive features is wearing bright skirts. Plus, she is clearly the love interest that is older than the mc and they met as kids and had a friendly interaction.

So far, this book focuses a lot on gender norms and I keep wondering if part of it is a defense of Molly since so many fans seem to unfairly hate her. Nevare’s father was just saying it was Sil’s fault that she was almost raped because she wore bright skirts and showed her bare arms and that is not too far of fans that put the blame on Molly for stuff not under her control.

Hi. I'm not being mean or anything, just genuinely confused.. Could you please explain why so many in the fandom is so mad about the last episode??? I say out of fandom tags why show is on to not to get spoilers and not im really confused?? I think mainly everyone is mad about johnlock?? (I ship them too) Did writers promise johnlock canon or something?? Plz explain it to me. ;(

Hellooo! Lol no you don't sound mean AT ALL!Yes one of the reasons everyone is mad is because Johnlock wasn't explicitly shown. But that's not the only issue. We're angry because this whole season doesn't make any sense. We watched The six Thatchers. There were a lot of plot holes. We thought the next episodes would explain it. The lying detective was a little better but still had some plot holes. So everyone expected that The Final problem would somehow explain whatever the hell was going on. But TFP turned out to be the worst! The people associated with the show kept saying grand things like "its going to make tv history" there was nothing of the sort. They raised everyone's expectations too high and then they couldnt deliver. The whole episode looks ok by itself but once you start paying attention its actually ridiculous! A Clown?? That explosion in 221B making them jump from the window without a scratch!? Sherlock not realizing there wasn't a glass between him and Eurus?? Moriarty's prerecorded videos?? Eurus having mind control apparently... The i love you to Molly which was so humiliating that even i was embarrassed just watching it! And everyone's favorite including me: John being chained to the bottom of the well and magically getting out once the police threw down a rope. COMPLETE NONSENSEWe wanted explanations not more confusion and plot holes. We all waited 3 years for them to explain Mary's arc, only for her to be redeemed in the stupidest way and her death was soooooo fake. And how the hell does she keep sending these videos to everyone around the globe???For me personally the ending would have been acceptable but Mary's voiceover completely ruined it. Telling them "who you are doesn't matter. All that matters are the cases" which is the complete opposite of what the purpose of this show was: to show the man Sherlock Holmes is, not the cases he solves. In just one episode they destroyed all the progress they had made in the last 7 years. And as for promising johnlock, they didn't. They denied and lied and denied again. So basically they're blame free. But if we all watched the same show that they made, how can we see that these two men are in love and they can't! Everyone kept expecting this season to finally explicitly show them in a romantic relationship. Because EVERYTHING in this show pointed towards that. Post series 3 us might have been fine with johnlock not being cannon. But The Abominable Bride and The lying detective made sure to mention that Sherlock Holmes needs a romantic relationship. They raised our hopes and then backed out. -_-Even the writers must realize how insane this whole series was. Idk if they have something planned, If there really is a secret 4th episode to fix all this or if they'll just ignore all these mistakes they made. But I'm not waiting another 2 years for them to fix this. And neither are a lot of people.(Sorry if that was too long. I'm really angry!)Summary: this episode was ridiculous. Nowhere near upto to the standard of the previous seasons. And had plot holes as big as Jupiter. All logic pointed towards johnlock being canon but it still isn't! We are all secretly hoping for a secret 4th episode to make sense of this mess. But it's probably not coming...
