People wanting every single aspect of a story's world and lore fully and in depth explained when the story is mainly about character interactions and growth annoy me to no end

#yes I'm complaining alittle- as a treat! #seeing this sentiment in haibane renmei reviews and saw similar sentiments in reviews of Wendell & Wild #like noo- the world doesn't exist to be explained and explore it exists to serve as symbolism for characters and events!!! #what's outside of the wall in haibane renmei doesn't need to be explained cause the story isn't about that!!! #it's about how people need other people to help cope with their traumas and grief and how pushing people away only hurts you and loved ones #and that yes- bad things happen in life no matter how good you or your environment but having a good support system can help you cope! #and Wendell & Wild doesn't just tell a stort about Hellmadiens- #it's a story about how you need community and friends to help you overcome trauma- and that ignoring your trauma will only hurt you #and it's also about systemic racism and the corruption of American police system- and how a community can work together and fight against #this corruption! #this stories aren't bad cause they dont in depth explain how their worlds work! #i like it without explaining too much cause it gives more screen time into fully developing the stories themes and characters! #plus it helps make the series much more intriguing by keeping certain world elements a mystery and open to interpretation! #ok ramble over-
