this hug is great for so many reasons, but one of my favorite parts about it is how it's .... not necessary?? like their first hug was an 'omg you're alive' hug, a greeting of sorts, and their second was goodbye.

this was purely for comfort.

clarke already said pretty much everything that needed to be said, and he verbally reciprocated, they had their 'forgiveness'/'together' bit, that is technically enough, right? end scene. but no. bellamy is still crying. clarke hugs him simply because. they both need a hug. no more, no less.
