I just stumbled upon your account and knew the messed up personalities of the writers other than me concluding their ignorance when it comes to poc characters after completing asra's route.
this is gonna be long but I want to let it all out.
I won't lie I can't say I hated asra's route completely , it would've been a good and enjoyable plot if certain scenes were abandoned in drafts.
I knew the game from an ad, installed it a modded apk version cause dollars cost a lot here so I'm in no place to complain about paying a lot.
asda and nadia having an Arabic name was something I liked because I'm an Arab and you already know how much the west "adore" us ,everything was going good untill:
1. the writers started inserting their dark fantasies and fetishes in the scenes.
like the unnecessary toxic mlm backstory of asra and julian, they could have written the story behind their conflict without the sexual assault and creepy stalking behaviour getting both asra and julian out of the implied characters throughout the story for a scene because of dumb yaoi fantasies. another scene was the muriel scene when asra forced him to relive a trauma when the writer stated before this scene how strong their friendship is and how they are like close brothers, so why didn't they just stick to the characters and the things that are already stated instead of forcing their toxic fantasies down everyone's throught, this would have been better.
2. how they frequently went too far with the "asra is hot" "nadia is hot " to the extinct that it turned into oversexualization.
POCs weren't born to satisfy whites weird fetishes and this should be taken seriously.
3. the last thing that I pretend that it doesn't exist in the plot is the implification of asra and his family as muslims.
these are fictional characters so why the fuck did they feel the need to give hints about religious beliefs?? 😭
even if one of the nixhydra staff was muslim or Arab this was a stupid move, like fictional characters aren't going to witness qiyamah, then why give them a belief.
they made aisha wear hijab on short sleeves , them drinking wine, joining rituals , practicing magic , generating water and fire by magic , tarot readings to know the future ( believing in tarot in general) , living together without marriage and the whole deal with devil to bring someone back to life.... all that was done is either prohibted in Islam or impossible to be done by anyone except Allah; so the religious implification is completely wrong and ignorant , it didn't even add to the plot so what was the point?
writers can make their characters do anything as long as there isn't any religious implying or making up gods and religious figures, but once someone decides to give characters religious beliefs then they should stick to this belief and it's rules.
tbh:
if we took of all the BS that the writers threw and extracted the main points of the storyline of the game it will be a good game to play with an enjoyable storyline; such an idea being in the hands of racist fools with poc fetish and other weird kinks is a crime for real.
The Arcana: being racist and Islamophobic since 2016!
Having Aisha wearing the hijab with short sleeves is...just so insulting and anoying. Now mind you some people who wear the hijab do dress that way but like...the difference is that those are real life people! These game devs (who I presume aren't Muslim though I could be wrong) had no right to do all that. The alcohol is even more insulting tbh.
Overall the game has a lot of racism and Islamophobia and it'a fucking gross.

Anyone who's pagan or polthiest is a pagan/polytheist, even if they're bigots(depending on their religious system of course). As an exmuslim myself i see both sides, orthodox muslims straight up being antisemitic and (some consider people who believe in multiple deities(hindus in particular as unclean and impure) as it's in their beliefs specifically, sects also hate other sects, and exmuslims and non muslims being extremely islamophobic towards muslims, cases I've seen myself. The death penalty is still there for those who leave Islam in some countries, homosexuality is still illegal in many Islamic countries, women and genderqueer and trans folks and children are still fucked over, but only in those countries exmuslims exmuslims (like myself) and (some) muslims care, non muslims and non exmuslims don't, that's why they don't talk about it, they shove it under the rug of "respecting cultures and beliefs" as if those who are hurt aren't human beings. Criticism of religion is important if we want to evolve as a society, but only muslims and exmulims should be allowed to even criticize islam. What's a person that's never been a Muslim doing reading about the faith and criticizing it?? It's not right and its not the same. I've never been a Christian or Jew so i never talk or criticize them (unlike many many exmuslims, its still wrong), especially that one of them is closed. Muslims and nonmuslims alike also love using islamophobia as a shield against valid religious criticism its ridiculous. If people accept ex Christians and their criticism of Christianity and see both ways, the same should be for exmuslims.some Exmuslims should also better themselves and have humanity and sympathy in their hearts towards muslims and spiritual/religious people. New atheists suck too. We also can't forget what happened to arabic polytheists at the time of islam, imagine living peacefully as a pagan and then someone comes along and says there is only one true deity and that whom you believe in is false, or the (potential fact that many practises in Islam are most likely of pagan origins) which is like a big f u to those poor folks, imagine having your religious idols destroyed and not being able to do anything about it, perhaps if one puts themselves in their shoes they'd know what it feels like. People always talk about(ooh Christianity banned paganism/polytheism its so evil😭) but never about Islam and it actions and consequences. Mabye They could never understand. (P.s: I'm sorry this isn't directed at you in particular but at all of the issues above and the excuses given by people, i know you'd understand, you're not an idiot nor a bigot.).
I'm going to go out on a limb here. I've been around a few places in the world, and I've been around people.
No religion is free from faults. If you believe people of Pagan/polytheistic religions have never used their religions and gods for personal gain, for greed, for power, and for control, if you think no blood has ever been spilled in the names of Pagan gods/polytheistic faiths, then you've got some learning to do.
The problem has never been the religions. Religions on their own are just religions. The problem is not whether we say God or Allah. Is not whether one god is worshipped or a hundred. Is not whether there's a church or a temple.
