may i please see the 3 hour seminar on dragalia lost i too am starving for content
OH GOD. I. UH. I DID NOT EXPECT ANYONE TO ACTUALLY ASK I CANT ACTUALLY RAMBLE ABOUT ANYTHING I LIKE FOR EVEN A MINUTE ESPECIALLY WHEN ASKED OUT OF THE BLUE YEVDIVDJFBFK
i'm just gonna. spill every thought i have about dragalia the second it pops into my head for as long as i am able bc i really do love talking about this game and i WILL shove it in people's faces
so. dragalia lost. uh. i'm already clueless about what to say
for the 99.9% of people who didnt follow me for dl, its a mobile gacha game. you play as euden, a scion to the alberian throne, who possesses dragonblood, a special power inherited that allows him to make pacts with dragons and shapeshift into them. for a free gacha game its really, really good?? good rates, lots of free stuff, SO MUCH INGAME CONTENT, FLAWLESS soundtrack, ten bajillion characters, and dragons as the title implies and that automatically makes the game a thousand times better.
when i say good rates i mean GOOD like. every gala dragalia banner i swear i get like 2-3 five stars every second tenfold. and the safety net of you being able to pick a certain five star after 300 rolls... aauaghh this is why i love dragalia way more than idk ge/nshin which is so awfully frustrating by comparison or pok/emon masters which i quit after like two months. i have almost every character i want and got them pretty easily! (despite these good rates i still dont have summer norwin COME HOME YOU--)
there's so much lore and stories to look at when you're not playing! all the events are so so good, my favorites are forgetten truths, accursed archives and caged desire! (caged desire was the per/sona 5 crossover event which i am. still reeling from. out of all the crossovers to happen with this little obscure gacha game it was P5?? AND SO WELL WRITTEN?? AND NOW I CAN PLAY AS THE JOKER REN AMAMIYA AKIRA KURUSU LIKE HE IS IN MY PARTY STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO ALBERIUS CLEO AND IEYASU RIGHT NOW AS WE SPEAK--) every character comes with their own 20 minuteish story which i love and then theres also so much wyrmprint/weapon flavor text to read which i love even MORE, i cannot EMPHASIZE HOW MUCH I LOVE FLAVOR TEXT!! the wyrmprint art is also top quality,, off the top of my head prints like valiant crown and the high dragon res set are GORGEOUS. they stopped doing it recently iirc but a few early wyrmprints and stuff would hint at other things? like dueling dancers featured orsem before orsem was even released, there was a mention of the syndicate in another print but they weren't put into a playable story until the scars of the syndicate event in the game's second year. it was so neat how they used to do that can they do that again please.... with a blade print maybe oh my god release a wyrmprint for blades already you already gave STAVES a SKILL DAMAGE PRINT the weapon for HEALERS who DONT DEAL SKILL DAMAGE WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT
i so adore the dragalia life comic strip waaaaaa look at it its so cute,, a couple issues actually made me laugh out loud. my favorite is uhhhh,,, i'm too lazy to look up the number rn but its one with lathna and curran and he keeps tripping over his words as usual its adorable
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the SOUNDTRACK,,,, i'm actually listening to force your way rn but when i started typing this i put on we are the lights and then it played because of you and oh force your way just ended and now its notte's slumber shot theme ekdvdjfhjf. its got a huge variety of songs, even if you havent or wont play dragalia at least listen to some of the songs included with it, i linked them for a reason go go go!! we are the lights is my personal favorite, its so satisfying to be able to fight [ SPOILERS ] to this song and you land the final hit at the very climax of the song WAAAA ITS MY FAVORITE FIGHT IN THE WHOLE GAME
as a gacha game ofc it has a huge cast of characters, and while most of them have literally NO relevance to the main plot they're all still so fun and unique and aaaa i love so many of them... as the current icon and one of my previous urls will imply my favorite is orsem! honestly though the range of characters is so funny sometimes like you have the main character, a prince who has inherited the dragonblood which allows him to shapeshift into dragons he's made pacts with, and there's apostles from the north linked to angels who set out to resolve problems concerning demons, three characters linked to unspeakable eldritch horrors, there's all sorts of determined fighters and ex-royalty and very serious characters with tragic backstories and then there's also like. a pirate who can be an opera singer. an opera singer who can be a phantom thief. two clowns. some dancers. a dnd player. gay cowboy. the same gay cowboy but they gave him a gun. the mystical ascended warrior dons a swimsuit and goes surfing with cats on his board. its a fantasy game but there are androids???
i ADORE the character design in this game i will never shut up about how much i love so many of these... three of my favorites: fritz, heinwald and alex
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think fritz is my actual favorite design i mean just look,,,, i normally don't reeeeally like the whole circus/fairgrounds kind of look but like he and annelie? hits a perfect balance. flawless. i automatically adore big wizard cloaks so heinwald was an easy pick. alex is? i dont really know what to pinpoint on her outfit that i likei just like it. the flowy thing on the back is very neat. other honorable mentions are mascula, laxi, mordecai, vixel, sylas, ieyasu and norwin. i want sylas's coat so bad can i commission someone to make it for me or something
on the story side of things though,, i'd say my favorite character stories were sylas and ramiel's. chapter 11 (android anguish), sylas and valerio's stories were the only ones to make me cry,,, ramiel's came close. they were so. aaaauuuugghh i have not stopped thinking about these stories since i read them. i wont say anything more because of spoilers but they're all so...
I ALMOST FORGOT TO SHOW OFF THE DRAGONS IN DRAGALIA LOST I'M A FOOL. here's midgardsormr he's cool as hell. i also want to mention mercury, prometheus and epimetheus but i hit the image limit. sad
Tumblr media
i think the last thing i have to say here is uh. i adore euden as a protag. he may not be my no. 1 favorite character in the game but i'm gonna give him his own paragraph because he deserves it. i ofc cant say too much because of spoilers but the fact that this guy goes through SO MUCH but is still so, so, SO supportive and kind and determined to help others,,, but not overly perfect all the time? i saw him as too much of a generic Nice(tm) protag at first but actually he's so good?? he goes from the benevolent and powerful King of New Alberia, Defender of the People, The One Destined To Bring Peace To Graestea Once More to "Oh yeah. Totes. (People say totes, right?)" <- direct quote (or at least how i remember it). he's silly. i love euden
tl;dr: dragalia lost good. play it. please.

I went into this gala with about 580 summons saved up, so was that enough for me to get Summer Norwin?
Find out under the cut :)
Just to cut right to the chase, here’s all the new stuff I got:
-Bellina [lmao at my first 5-star being a dagger unit who isn’t even one of the two featured ones on this banner]
-Summer Norwin [!!!!!!!] [He actually came home after about 20 or so summons but I decided to keep going to try and get Gala Laxi since I need more flame units and I don’t want to miss another gala unit]
-Nadine [I wanted to flesh out my flame roster so this is really nice, lol. I felt kinda bad about skipping her banner since I love her whole design and kit, so I’m glad i got her]
-Gauld [He’s not a 5-star but this is actually my first time getting him since he came out]
-Summer Konohana Sakuya x5 [I wasn’t even chasing her since I don’t think she’s that great but I managed to get enough dupes to fully unbind her while chasing Gala Laxi lmao]
-Gala Laxi [I finally got her, and all it took was about 280 summons total. I probably should have just stopped when I got Summer Norwin, but honestly I’m glad I kept going since I got some good stuff out of it]
Also in terms of random dupes I got:
-Wedding Elly [Which reminds me that one of the things I’m saving for now is a Gala Alex rerun]
-Student Maribelle [I wish I could have gotten Summer Sinoa instead but it’s not a big deal]
-Ramona [This also reminds me that I’m ALSO waiting for a Gala Elly rerun]
-Chelsea
-Siren [now she’s at 2UB]
-Zephyr [now he’s at 3UB]
-Freyja x2 [I don’t know how I managed to pull two separate copies of her, but I did, lol. To put into perspective how awkward this is, I now have TWO fully unbound copies of Freyja, and a separate 0UB copy]
Part of me kinda regrets going so hard on this banner, but because of how big of a stash I had going into it, I still have like 300 summons left over, so it’s not the end of the world. Hopefully if we get a gala remix soon I can skip it, since we’ll probably get a gala dragon at the end of August, and I’ll probably want to pull for them. Then there’s the second anniversary in September, and after that we’ll get back into limited holiday banner season. So there’s a lot I want to save for.
I at least ended up with enough eldwater after all this to get Bellina, Nadine, Gala Laxi, and Summer Norwin to 49MC each, lol.
I haven’t really had much time to play around with any of them yet [and I only have 0UB CT2 weapons for Gala Laxi and Summer Norwin so I need to go farm better weapons for them], but their damage mods and stuff are up on the wiki now, so I have a much better understanding of how they all work.
The DPS sim hasn’t updated yet, so who knows exactly how good they all are in practice, but from what I’ve seen they all look really good.
Going by what the wiki says, Sinoa’s S1 seems to have a super low SP cost and fairly high damage mods of around 1600%, so combined with her abilities I think she’ll be a very high DPS unit. Maybe around the same level as Sylas.
It’s still gonna take a while to wrap my head around Summer Norwin’s kit, but at least now I know how it works in practice, lol. It’s a really interesting set-up, since both of his skills have exactly the same SP cost, and I was right about each skill raising both skills phase levels with each use, so the idea is pretty much to use one skill, immediately use the other one, and then go back to charging them again. But you can choose which skill you want to use first, to dictate his overall rotation. Even if it only really matters which skill you decide to use at phase 4.
Also the skill icons are the same for each skill, and change based on what phase they’re at, which actually helps a lot to keep track of his rotations. It’s also EXTREMELY cute that the different phases of both of his skills have animations that depict different stages of a fairy tale, so choosing what route you want to take with his skills plays out like a Choose Your Own Adventure book.
His SP costs seem high at first if you compare them to the S1 costs of other dagger units, but it’s basically a trade-off where instead of having a cheap S1 and an expensive S2, he has two skills that are in more of a middle ground, cost-wise. Specifically they both cost around 4.5k SP, while a unit like Gala Laxi for example has her S1 cost 2.5k SP, and her S2 cost 7.7k SP. So it evens out.
His damage mods also seem pretty high for how relatively spammable his skills are. Like with their SP costs and icons, the damage mods for their first three phases both seem to be exactly the same, ranging from about 1200% to 1600%. Then his phase 4 S1 doesn’t do damage but cleanses your debuff stacks and energizes the team, while his phase 4 S2 has around 2000% damage mods, inflicts poison, self-inflicts a debuff stack, and you take damage equivalent to 20% of your HP for each debuff stack you have. We’ll see how that all pans out in terms of his overall dps, but he seems very good, considering that these are two separate skills with those damage mods, and relatively low/middle-ground SP costs. The fact that he’s usually going to be using two skills back to back because of how their cooldowns line up means he might also have pretty good burst DPS during break. His team energize on his phase 4 S1 also seems pretty substantial, even though his energy = skill haste passive still seems kinda weak.
Taking into account that he also has an innate 30% poison punisher ability, I get the feeling that he’ll at least be in the same dps tier as units like Sylas and Lin You.
We already knew all we needed to know about Summer Sakuya before this, but now that I have a MUB copy of her, I hope she’s good, lol. I’ve stuck her on Summer Norwin for now since it seems fitting for him during this event, but I think he’s prefer Vayu in most cases.
I already thought Gala Laxi was weird when I read her kit, but seeing her in practice was a whole different story, lol. I hadn’t seen any gameplay videos of her before I used her for the first time, so let’s just say that it took me by surprise when I found out what her unique attack combo is like. I was wondering if she might have one, like the last few gala units, but hers is even more unique than theirs. Basically she feels a lot like Catherine, with how she shoots projectiles, which also means that she more or less doesn’t feel like a dagger unit at all. I’m fine with that, though, since I’m not a big fan of how daggers play.
She also apparently has an alternate version of her unique attack combo that you can trigger by timing your inputs instead of just spamming them, but I didn’t really get a feel for that much. It seems kinda hard to pull off.
Her damage mods feel a bit lower than I expected [850% on her normal S1, 1000% on her S1 during Eden Mode, and 2200% on her S2 during Eden Mode], but I think she has a lot of emphasis on her regular attacks, so I think overall she’s still gonna have pretty high DPS.
She doesn’t really play like I expected, since she doesn’t actually have much risk-reward stuff going on, and she seems more focused on regular attacks than using super powerful skills, plus the fact that she’s basically a psuedo-ranged unit, but overall she actually feels more fun to play than I was expecting, so I’m glad I kept going until I got her, lol. I’m also gonna have to take some time soon as well to play with Nadine a bit now that I have her.
All in all I think this gala was pretty good to me. I could have stopped after I got Summer Norwin super quickly, but I got some good stuff by going deeper. Now I’m gonna go back to saving for the next gala that interests me, which will probably be the next gala dragon, unless we get a rerun of Gala Elly or Gala Alex first.

I’ve got a whole bunch of thoughts about Gala Laxi and all the new summer units, and even though I should just wait until they actually come out and we get exact numbers for everything, I still wanna make a whole post about it, lol.
Anyway this will go under a cut.
Firstly, Gala Laxi is a flame dagger, as I expected, so that’s cool. I did think there was a chance of her being a water blade, but honestly her being a flame dagger unit just made more sense. I feel bad for everyone who invested in Ezelith, if Gala Laxi ends up being better, but I never invested in her so I’m fine with this, lol.
She does look really good on paper, though, and I need more good flame units so I want to get her. Like with all units, her overall damage output will depend on what her exact damage mods and whatnot are, so it’s impossible to tell for sure how good she’ll be, but on paper she looks really good. One of the first things that stands out to me, which makes me even more interested in getting her, is the fact that she has the same standard attack damage co-ability that Tiki does. Which I REALLY want, since I skipped Tiki’s banner when it came out.
Other than that, her kit seems pretty straightforward, and actually doesn’t have as many downsides as I thought it would. The whole concept of Eden Mode seemed like it’d be a real risk-reward type of thing, similar to how her original version works, but the only real downside to it is that her unique gauges don’t increase when she’s in Eden Mode, and they reset afterward. But those just give her extra buffs, so it’s not like she’d be notably handicapped after Eden Mode ends.
Going by how her gauges work, it sounds like the general idea is for you to use your standard attacks and your S1 to max them out before using Eden Mode, to make the most out of them before they reset once that ends. I get the feeling that the alternate versions of her skills that happen during Eden Mode are gonna be really strong, to give her that burst damage vibe.
It also looks like when Eden Mode’s activated she basically summons a robot companion that shoots additional projectiles, which is an extremely interesting idea. It makes me wonder if they might be experimenting with adding some kind of companion system, maybe based around the puppy from April Fools. Either way, I get the feeling it might give her a lot of additional DPS during Eden Mode, so that’ll be neat. It might also help her get combos going faster, which ties into her third ability, where if she can maintain a combo she can basically stack up to 12% crit rate and 40% crit damage, which resets when her combo ends. Which also kinda reminds me of Ezelith, lol.
I don’t really care that much for Laxi as a character, but as a unit she’s really tempting and I hope I can get her. I actually don’t have that many good flame units built up at the moment, so she’d really help flesh out my flame team.
Next we have Summer Sinoa, who’s a 5-star wind wand. I won’t mind much if I don’t manage to get her from the gala, but her kit does interest me a bit. I like that they kept the RNG team buffs idea from her original version and fleshed it out into something that works for a 5-star unit. Usually RNG buffs aren’t very good, but it’s nice that if you can max your Overload stacks, you can give the entire team all three buffs at once.
Going by how her Overload stacks make her S1 charge more and more slowly, I think you’ll have to choose between either 1: holding off on your S2 until you have max Overload stacks for the full team buff, at the cost of dealing with the slower S1 charging, or 2: using your S2 as much as you can to get rid of your Overload stacks so your S1 charges faster, at the cost of getting a random buff from it that only affects yourself. So it’s a choice between focusing on team support vs her own personal DPS. We’ll see how her damage mods go, but she has a 30% skill damage passive, and her first ability means that she gets an extra 20%, 25%, or 30% skill damage buff for her S1 based on her Overload stacks, so she might actually do enough damage that you could opt to use her more selfishly.
Then there’s Summer Norwin, who I obviously care the most about, lol. I’m kinda iffy about him being a wind dagger, but I don’t use any of the other ones I have so he won’t really interfere that much with my wind team set-up, so that’s nice. Basically everyone on this banner has a complicated kit, but his feels especially strange. It feels kinda impossible to make any predictions about how good he’ll be before we get more info on him.
But going by what we know from the preview, his main gimmicks are his self-inflicted debuff, and his unique version of skill shift. If I’m reading it right, both of his skills are skill-shift skills with four stages each, but using either skill moves BOTH skills to their next stage, so in practice he’ll get through them really fast. The first three stages of each skill are pretty basic, since they just do increasing amounts of damage, but the weird stuff is with how phase 4 of his two skills work. Phase 4 of his S2 does more damage and inflicts poison, but it also gives him one stack of his unique debuff, and makes him take damage relative to how many stacks of it he has, while phase 4 of his S1 removes all of his debuff stacks, and energizes the team. Which is all kinda hard to wrap my head around, lol. The whole order of operations involved is kinda hard to interpret. Like, does he take damage from his phase 4 S2 the very first time he uses it, or does it only happen if he uses it when he already has at least one stack of it beforehand? He’s also unable to get energy stacks while he has his debuff stacks, so I’m hoping that the cleanse effect on his phase 4 S1 triggers first, so he also gets to receive the energy buff.
His first ability is energy = skill haste, so I imagine that he must be able to give himself his own energy buff, since there’s basically no other sources of energy in wind for him to make use of. This whole ability in and of itself is kinda strange to me, though, and I’m not sure how much it’ll help him, since he’d lose his energy stacks when he uses a skill anyway, so there wouldn’t be much uptime on the skill haste. But it’s still a 25% skill haste buff when he’s energized, which isn’t exactly bad.
I think he’ll actually have pretty good uptime on the team energy buff, though. It feels like it’d be pretty slow since it’s the phase 4 effect of a skill shift, but if I’m right about how it works for him, it’d effectively only take two uses of his S1 for it to trigger.
If you want to maximize how often you do the team energy buff, I think his skill rotation would basically be S2 phase 1 -> S1 phase 2 -> S2 phase 3 -> S1 phase 4, though unless they have the same SP cost you probably won’t be able to just alternate between them like that. But still, he’d probably be able to get the buff off with every second or third use of his S1, if you focus on that.
But one weird consequence of how his skill shift seems to work is that in each skill shift rotation, you have to choose one skill to use at each stage, which means that if you use your phase 4 S1 all the time, you’ll be skipping your phase 4 S2. Which honestly seems like a good thing, since it means you’ll never actually inflict that debuff on yourself. But on the other hand, his phase 4 S1 doesn’t do damage and only does the team energy buff, while his phase 4 S2 does damage and inflicts poison in addition to the self-inflicted debuff, so depending on his damage mods you might want to focus on his S2 instead and just deal with the debuff if you want to maximize his personal DPS, and are willing to deal with the side-effects of the debuff.
Additionally, he also has a 30% poison punisher passive, which is nice, even if he’d probably have to rely on having someone else to inflict it most of the time. He also has a 10 his = hp regen chain co-ab, which I think is the first time we’ve seen something like that, and it seems really interesting. It might not be a very strong heal, but it means that if he works with people with good combo uptime, he’d effectively be a substitute healer, which might be really useful for stuff like eCiella.
In general he and Summer Sinoa actually feel pretty similar, in terms of how it seems like they can basically choose if they want to focus on team support or personal DPS, while each having different stack mechanics that have negative effects to juggle. Which makes me wonder exactly how good they’ll actually end up being in practice, and how well the AI will handle them.
Finally we have Summer Konohana Sakuya, who honestly seems kinda disappointing, lol. Basically she seems based around long fights where you’ll have time to actually build up her stacks, but I just don’t know if the effects they provide are worth the time. Wind also doesn’t really have any characters other than DY-Xainfried who can shapeshift a lot to make use of how she can apply an additional buff stack with her dragon skill.
I could see her being useful in eCiella, and probably mCiella when that comes out, if it’s an even longer fight. But at least for me, I already have a whole lot of good wind dragons, so she’s not super tempting. Which is good, since I want to focus my resources on future gala dragons instead, lol.
Basically everyone on this banner feels kinda weird and complicated, but hopefully they’ll all be worth getting. Gala Laxi seems like she’ll be the winner, but the summer units have potential to be really good too.

I got a whole lot of neat stuff off of the recent gala banner and the current summer banner, and I have a lot of thoughts about what I want from the [hypothetical] second summer banner that I wanna get down on paper in advance so I can either look smart if I get it right or really dumb otherwise, so here we go, lol.
I’m just gonna put this under a cut in case anyone doesn’t care to see me basically liveblog my last week of playing a gacha game.
My experience with the gala banner was kinda funny. I ended up doing two different summoning sessions at the start and end of it, since I initially didn’t care enough about Gala Cleo to pull much on it, and I wanted to prioritize the summer banner more, but then we found out that the summer banner wasn’t going to be limited and we got like 30 pulls worth of free currency for various reasons, so I decided to just spend all my resources on the last day of the gala, which I think got me to about 80-ish pulls total on it.
Which was totally worth it because I managed to get Amane, Vixel, Annelie, Julietta, Natalie, Nefaria, and Gala Cleo. I also got enough eldwater to get around to promoting my Norwin, because my good purple bunny boy deserves all the love. I actually got Gala Cleo on the very last 10-pull I was able to do, and considering that my very first 10-pull on the gala gave me a dupe Maribelle, I still got really nervous for a second there when I saw the rainbow wand, lol. I also got enough 4-star strength dragon dupes to MUB a couple of them, so that was nice. I don’t think I actually got a single 5-star dragon from the gala, oddly enough.
In spite of the fact that I even managed to get Gala Cleo, I actually got most excited about getting Vixel, since he’s one of the units I’ve been wanting to get ever since I started the game. I just love his design and his voice so much, lol. I also promoted him just to help make him even stronger.
Though mostly I find it kinda funny that literally all of the new adventurers I got were light and shadow ones. It’s not like I had all of the other ones or anything. But I can’t complain, since light was one of my weakest teams before this. I was contemplating dream summoning someone like Annelie or Julietta to round it out, so I’m glad I won’t have to.
And then the summer banner happened, and even though I spend all my resources on the gala, we’ve been getting drowned in enough summon vouchers and wyrmite recently that I still managed to do 20 pulls on the first day of it, and another 20 pulls yesterday. The first 20 pulls got me Summer Ranzal and Summer Julietta [plus a Konohana Sakuya dupe], and the second 20 pulls got me Summer Celliera and Siren [and a Freyja dupe], so at this point I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead and hoard my resources for the next banner, lmao. I feel like with each new banner I tend to either get all of the units on it almost immediately, or I struggle to get any of them. I got all the new adventurers in the B-Zardin and S-Maribelle banners, I only got Shinobi from the festival banner, I didn’t get ANYONE from the Ramona banner, but now I have Gala Cleo and everyone from the summer banner. I’ve got some weird luck with this game.
I also wanna point out that in the summoning session I did yesterday, I started by spending 10 single vouchers to raise my pity rate, and the 10th voucher I used was the one that gave me the dupe Freyja, which at the time bugged me because I got baited by a dupe 5-star dragon AND it reset my pity rate, but then I just decided to spend the 10-fold voucher they gave us for the 1.10.1 update, and in spite of having a freshly reset pity rate I got both Summer Celliera and Siren in it. Somehow.
I’m glad I got all of them, though, since my water DPS options were severely lacking before this. Especially when it came to dragons.
Even though it’s not really confirmed yet, I still think there’s going to be a second summer banner after this one, and I was planning on hoarding most/all of my resources for it even before I managed to get everything on this banner. I’m readily putting on my clown nose and hoping against hope that we get a Summer Luca based on his incredibly good summer outfit from this event, and if we do then I’m gonna spend all my resources on him.
Either way, I think a second summer banner would almost certainly give us alts for Luca and Verica. It’s pretty obvious how Verica’s 5-second cameo in this event was one giant tease for the second banner. And Luca even has a 3D model for his summer outfit. If we get a third new summer alt to go along with them, I have a feeling it’d probably be Elly because lol of course it would, but I hope not. On top of the fact that she literally just got a non-limited 5-star alt a month or two ago, it’d also be really unnecessary for her to get a water-element summer alt since she’s already a water unit, and she’s probably gonna eventually get a water-element gala alt anyway. Since regular Elly’s one of the best units in the game, I feel like a summer Elly would either disappoint people and everyone would ignore her in favour of keeping regular Elly on their teams, or she’d be better than regular Elly and everyone would complain about her being broken. So I just wanna be spared of all that, lol.
If it’s not Elly, though, they could really do anything at all with a third summer alt in the second banner. I feel like only her, Luca, and Verica really stick out as obvious options, since they’re basically the only other characters involved in this event. I know everyone wants a Karina alt, but she’s already a really good water unit, and also she kinda already looks like a summer alt of herself. She deosn’t really need one.
I actually kinda like the idea of it being Johanna in a sundress, to go along with some of the Dragalia Life comics from a little while ago about her.
In terms of weapon types and stuff, I’d like to see a 5-star water blade, a 5-star water staff, and a 4-star water sword, since those are some slots that haven’t been filled at all yet. And if they do it that way, I could definitely see Verica as a 5-star water staff, and I’d really like to see Luca as a 5-star water blade. Which I guess would leave the wildcard third summer alt character as the 4-star water sword. I guess Luca could just get a 4-star alt, but I really hope he gets a 5-star one, since he hasn’t gotten any alts at all thus far.
If we do get a second summer banner that’s tied to the second part of the summer event, I’m also really curious to see who the featured dragon is. I wonder if they’d just keep Siren as the featured dragon, or if it’d be a new one. She’s the only dragon that’s really relevant to this event [other than the welfare one we got already], but they might not want to have the same dragon be featured for two banners in a row. I saw someone suggest the idea of Barbary becoming a summonable dragon, and I actually really like that idea.
I might not want to bother summoning much on the next banner if it’s another summer one that doesn’t have Luca on it, since my water team’s much more well-rounded now, but we’ll see how it goes. At worst I’d probably just keep hoarding my resources for the next gala.
