Luci’s Girl
Pairing: Mazikeen/Eve Rating: Teen and Up Word Count: 600 Warnings: Language, Pining Written For: Femslash February, Day 7: Free Day On Ao3
Maze tried to remind herself that she was a Demon. Daughter of Lilith, War Leader of the Lilim. Devoted Ally of Lucifer Morningstar. She shouldn’t be able to feel emotion. Maze hated knowing that she was. Emotions were tied to souls, and Demons don’t have souls.
But that was Lucifer’s fault, wasn’t it? She followed him to Earth. Left Hell to keep him safe. How many years later, and they were still there. This was all Lucifer’s fault. He was fascinated with humans, and now Maze was slowly developing into a human. She was gaining their morals, their instincts, Maze was feeling… Love.
Originally she wanted to hate Eve. Eve caused her mother grief and caused her mother to hate her children. Eve was Lucifer’s first love, so the world believed. And with her back on Earth, Lucifer would want to stay longer.
But then Eve wanted to get closer. She complimented Maze, she reminded Maze of her strength. Eve reminded Maze that she was experiencing emotions. Maze was falling in love. It didn’t matter though, as Eve only saw Lucifer.
Maze could see the way that Eve watched Lucifer, with hunger in her eyes.
Maze could hear when they fucked, wild and fervent, due to her connection to Lucifer.
Maze could clearly picture Lucifer lying on his back with Eve curled up against him late at night.
And it was all that Maze could wish for but to have Eve for her own.
She didn’t realize it until Dan pointed it out to her. That her attention was focused on long brown hair and big brown eyes. Dan was a douche when he brought it up. He mocked Maze, claiming she was living her life as a charade. Dan rubbed the salt in her wounds, reminding her that she was a demon, that she couldn’t love or be loved in return. Maze knew better.
Maze could see the way that Eve watched Lucifer, cause it was how she watched Eve.
Maze could hear when they fucked, and it drove Maze crazy as she wanted to be the one who made Eve cry out like that.
Maze could clearly picture laying on her back with Eve curled up against her late at night because that was what she needed.
And it was all that Maze could wish for but to have Eve for her own. There was no other woman like Eve.
Working at Lux, Maze was surrounded by beautiful people, horny people. She could snap her fingers and get a good lay. But no one appealed to her. One night, after closing, Maze leaned against the bar and looked at the mirror. She let her glamour down and let the doubt that Dan seeded grow. Maze was a Demon, a monster. Her name, Mazikeen, literally meant to bring pain. What could she ever do to convince Eve to look at her the way she looked at Lucifer? When she even sang that stupid song, Eve thought Maze was helping her win Lucifer back. Not that she was trying to woo her.
Maze couldn’t watch the way that Eve looked at Lucifer, it was slowly destroying her.
Maze couldn’t listen when they fucked, and despite being Lucifer’s bodyguard, she would pass off the task to another Demon.
Maze couldn’t clearly picture Eve curling up with late at night any longer, as it made her realize that she wasn’t soulless any more.
And it was all that Maze couldn’t do, as much as she tried. Maze couldn’t have Lucifer’s Girl.

London to Lundy Part 1
5 months sounds like a long time, but when you’ve started a new job in a completely different industry, it flies by. New colleagues, new commute, new schedule, new maze-like museum building that took at least a month to get used to. Even new vocabulary.
I felt like I was desperately treading water, slowly drowning in a sea of to-dos. It finally took the Christmas period, when the museum was closed, most colleagues and external contacts had taken holidays and my telephone and inbox fell quiet, that I had a moment to realise... I have 13 days of annual leave to use up before the end of the financial year.
My husband’s birthday is in March, so I thought we could go somewhere together to celebrate, as we had been doing the last few years. The thing is, my husband works in a small company, a team of 3, in fact. Unfortunately, the other 2 also have their birthdays in March, so, being the most junior, he felt he couldn’t take a week off, especially because they were planning a work trip around that time too.
“You should go on a yoga retreat by yourself.” he suggested. As if I wanted to pay hundreds of pounds to go and spend days stretching with strangers, some of whom were guaranteed to be a little too ‘woo-woo’ for my taste (no offence).
I decided I wanted to do something that was ‘worthwhile’ with my time. After hours researching expensive (and scammy) conservation holidays, scrolling through WorkAways and WWOOFing opportunities, I somehow landed on the jackpot; a National Trust working holiday on Lundy, a three mile long, half mile wide island off the coast of North Devon.
Having hastily signed up and gained a place, I set to work on the dreaded getting-there logistics. The first thing was already ticked off the list. The only way of getting from the Devon coast onto Lundy Island at that time of the year is by Helicopter. With that booked, I looked into getting from London to Devon and back.
The autumn before, I had bought my first car. It’s a fully electric Nissan Leaf. Using it largely for the weekly shop and commuting to work (15 minutes if the traffic is nice, 1 hour if it’s the usual), it’s the perfect car for pootling around the city and suburbs, where an electric charger is always close to hand. We’d done the odd 2 hour drives, but the route planning, and adding 30 mins per charge stop, the anxiety of ‘what if the charger we are heading towards is out of order’ was quite stressful, so a solo drive down to Devon seemed a foolhardy concept.
But, the more I tried to arrange the public transport, the more complicated things got. First off, the nearest train station is 25 miles away, and you need to get on a bus for an hour even to get close to the helipad. Not only that but you had to get there by 10am latest, so unless you wanted to leave London at crazy o’clock, you had to arrive the night before and find accommodation. On top of that, on the way back, you have no idea what time your helicopter flight is. “Sometime between 11 and 3pm, and it depends on the weather, you could be delayed to later in the afternoon or even the next day!” So booking a train for the way back was a gamble. Driving to Devon in my electric car started to look like a more attractive, at least simpler, concept.
I’m not what you call a confident driver, and some past long distance drives had been very stressful. It’s hard for me to forget that I could kill myself or anyone else by making a silly mistake. And I make plenty of those in my everyday life. What if I don’t plan well and I run out of charge on my car? The prospect of driving alone, for four hours, which would probably include at least 4 charges, was terrifying. Also, if I want to arrive at the heliport at 9:30am, then I would need to leave at 5:30am, but add on 4 x 30 minute charges is 3:30am, and maybe I should add an extra hour in case I take the wrong turning or there is traffic or a diversion... well that’s crazy o’clock. So I decided to break up the journey by stopping off at my uncle’s in Bristol.
Tumblr media
The week before setting off, I made sure to check and double check the route on the Zap-Map app, which shows you the locations of all the EV chargers. I read reviews of each charger, making sure it was used recently and recorded as having a successful charge. I made sure I knew the locations of at least 2 other chargers near the one I actually planned to charge at, in case that one was occupied or faulty.
I wrote out the addresses of each charger, in case I lost my phone. I packed a portable power bank for my phone, in case it ran out of battery. I found out what numbers I need to call if I break down or run out of charge, or have an accident (yeah OK I should’ve known those already). Some chargers require you to start the charge using your mobile phone... but what if you didn’t have enough reception? I drove my husband crazy with my fretting and stressing. I made sure I had enough car snacks and a good playlist.
Then the day finally came. I left for Bristol around 9.00am. It was a bright sunny day and I left in high spirits, onto the M4. Forty minutes later, dirty black clouds appear and it starts to properly pour. The roads were not too busy but there was a ropey 15 minutes of very poor visibility, the spray from the other cars and lorries obscuring the road like a thick fog. My heart pumping, I was very glad to arrive at my first charge stop at a service station just after 10am.
There, I struck up a conversation with a fellow Nissan Leaf driver, and I asked him if he’d heard the rumour that you shouldn’t charge your car up to 100% on one of the rapid chargers (there are a few different charge speeds, you see). It’s something I was told by the customer services person when I rang up the helpline on a day a charger refused to stop charging (really reassuring). The man looked at me doubtingly and said that he hadn’t. When he left, I googled it and it really does seem to be the case that it damages your battery. I hope he looked it up later as well. I had a hot chocolate in the Starbucks, charged my phone and bought some gloves, as I forgot to pack mine. Feeling panicked about damaging the battery, I headed off at 82% charged.
Luckily, the closer I got to Bristol and my uncle’s flat, the lower the speed limit, the more traffic there was. I say lucky because driving in those circumstances uses up much less charge than going 70mph down the motorway. By 11:40 I have arrived at my final charge stop, a Bannatyne Health Club just round the corner from my final destination. I was even more happy to see that it was a simple plug in, tap your contactless card and charge jobby. You’d think that’s how all chargers are, but no. EV chargers are run by different providers, I have no less than 5 different apps on my phone plus a physical tap card, and there’s still some chargers where I have to spend ages registering on a website in order to start a charge. Mental.
I go into the health club and explain I’m not a member but would like to sit in the cafe while my car charges. I was a bit worried they would turn me away, but, just as my Zap-Map colleagues had reassured me, they asked me to sign in to a guest book and let me in. I order a tea and settle down for 20 minutes. In hindsight, during my journey to Devon and back, I think I spent almost the same amount of money on beverages and nibbles waiting for the car to charge as for the charge itself!
Anyway, all in all a smooth journey to Bristol, and I get to my uncle’s around 12:15, just in time for lunch. After a lovely afternoon taking in the sights of Bristol (managed to catch the excellent Wildlife Photography of The Year 2019 exhibition at M Shed, see below for the fun image of a shocked Himalayan marmot that won the Grand Title) and catching up with a friend over a quick drink in the evening, I go to bed early, ready for an early start in the morning.

Do you think Lilith could be the next villain on Lucifer S4? Since I haven't read the comics, I don't know many things about her... Could you please tell me something about this character, please? Thank you very much! I love your blog! ❤
We have no real villains in Lucifer as the producers have said but the description does fit Lilith.
So in the comics, Lilith was Adam’s first -out of three- wife but as she was created in the same manner as Adam she was strongly opinionated so she left Adam. It was normal as she had no real interest in being with Adam just because God had destined them to be together (see the pattern here?). Later on, God made a second wife but Adam watched the process and was basically disturbed so God destroyed the half-made 2nd wife and made a third wife which we know as Eve.
Lilith while in Eden started taking several lovers, demons and bore a plethora of children as her womb had been gifted with a supernatural fertility. The Angels were not happy with that but it was how it was so nothing really changed until Lilith fell in love or at least, in the beginning, she made a decision to woo an Angel called Imbrael.
Imbrael had a lot of dreams and a vivid imagination and was captivated by Lilith. They had sex and because Lilith’s womb was so fertile she bore him a son called Briadach. Briadach appeared to be a normal baby but one of his feet resembled one of a goat. Now the problem was that Lilith had fallen in love with Imbrael but he had rejected their son as an abomination, their relationship as sinful and so he decided to make a City, The Silver City where peace would exist.
Lillith was so blinded by her love that she gave him all her children to help him with that project but one day Imbrael’s brothers told him that he had to banish Lilith and her abominations from a City that was meant to house God’s glory and the angels. Imrbrael to give him some credit was a bit hesitant but was also blinded between what good and evil were. His actions and the refusal to accept Lilith and most importantly their son led Maze and Briadach as children to kill Imbrael.
The Angels caught the children and they were about to execute them after they decided that through a council meeting to which Lucifer didn’t take part and also it was when his siblings insisted that the children had to be killed. It was then when he declared that he would from now on be known for his ability as the Lightbringer aka Lucifer and whoever wanted to follow him was free to do so. (Michael also protected Lucifer in that part of the story but never took part in the decision of the Angels to execute the kids)
Maze and her brother were spared and Lillith with her children was cast out of Eden. Lilith never forgave Briadach for killing his father, Imbrael and one day she walked away from the camp leaving her children behind as she wondered in the desert. Briadach did try to care for his mother during her aimless journey in secret but ultimately she abandoned him behind hurt and bewildered when she found her destination.
Through the comic issues, you will see that Lilith even tried to take over Eden again and defeat God but she ultimately failed and it is perhaps why Briadach was always so obsessed over reclaiming Eden which he called the Lilim’s rightful home. Briadach also over the years was gifted perhaps due to his divine genes with the ability to see the future but in a patterned almost way which was really bad for his overall health as he ended up an obese grey being with pointy ears and blind. Unable to walk or feed by himself anymore.
Now, what happened to Lilith? Lilith in issue 75 is seen at the Microbiotic Restaurant which is on a flying piece of Land somewhere in a different realm or perhaps even the void, I cannot really remember anymore. There we see Lucifer and God talk over tea as God tries to persuade Lucifer to share his power with Him and He would do the same thing in return something that Lucifer rejects. In the same place, we have also the Silk Man (pre-creational being of great power and darkness), Sandalphon (a fallen angel) and Berim (a very peculiar divine-like creature).
Lillith finally I believe lost all her love towards her children. She hated Maze as much as Briadach for what they did to the only person she loved and not once did she forgive or forget. On the contrary, whenever she had the chance she made sure they were tortured as adults by their siblings and treated as traitors…
But what has that to do with Lucifer?
Lucifer admired Lilith for her ability to take what she wanted regardless of what his Father was saying. He also was intrigued by her free will and spent many evenings with her discussing several subjects. In short, he valued her perspective on life, existence and resistance towards God’s plan.
Now despite what happened between Lillith and her two children, Lucifer’s fall and rebellion was first due to his refusal to agree with the rest of his siblings to kill the children and second in order to get his own destiny under control like Lilith had done. So S4 if it brings us, Lilith, we will see the beginning of Lucifer’s Fall or how it actually began.
PS If you think about it in the comics Lucifer started a rebellion for Maze who ended up being his consort and the only other being he openly loved and respected in the comics.

04 / FAMILY & HOME
Family: Her father Gael and her mother Tammy do not get along. They hooked up the summer after senior year of high school when he broke up with his girlfriend and Tammy got pregnant. He went away for college with his girlfriend and eventually married her. He was barely in Nokia’s life and his wife now ex wife, forced him to stay out of Nokia’s life. She grew up with her white side of the family. Being the only dark one, she was picked on and set apart a lot. Her and her mother were kicked out her grandmother’s house and were homeless, lived in a woman’s shelter, then lived in a trailer with her mother’s boyfriend at 12, then they finally got their own 1 bedroom apartment. When she was 15/16 he took her mother to custody after his divorce and won custody over her because he had the money; being a surgeon. She moved to Miami to live with him and to live a better life, taking fun trips and having her own room.
How does (s)he feel about his/her family? She doesn’t like her maternal grandmother. She’s racist against blacks and thinks they’re dirty and did not forget to remind Nokia about herself and her father. She used to tell Tammy she was a slut for sleeping with a black man and having his baby. She called Nokia a porch monkey and little monkey. Called her a nigger whenever she was angry and drunk. Tammy and Nokia are close but they have their drifting moments. Nokia got her drug and alcohol habits from her mother. She used to buy her mother cigarettes and started stealing them to smoke with her friends. She started drinking alcohol because sometimes that was all there was in the house. They got high together a few times but Nokia got clean and her mother still struggles with her own addictions which she tries to hide but Nokia knows the truth. Nokia and Gael are now cooler than when she was younger and first moved in with him. She hated him because her grandmother filled her head with negative thoughts. She used to love when he came to see her or called her as a kid. She got older and realized he put his wife before her and hated him for it and the fact that she had to struggle growing up. They’re now in a better place because Nokia is learning how to forgive people and let things go.
How does his/her family feel about him/her? Her mother depends a lot on her. Since they kind of grew up together, being that she was young herself when she had her; they’re like sisters. Nokia’s father tries to do everything to keep her happy but shows his disappointment when she’s not happy with her. They both love her and she’s the only reason they’d ever come together but she never has asked them to, so they don’t see each other. They haven’t been in the same room in years.
Pets: None.
Where does (s)he live? Her father helped her get a small place but she’s breaking her lease because her boyfriend wants her to move in, so she’s living with him now in a really nice townhouse.
What is it like there? Enough rooms, beautiful from the outside, not much going on. Very calm atmosphere, quiet neighborhood.
Description of his/her home: Modern Townhouse.
