This is probably a dumb question, but to reach the conference final (and for us to get their 1st pick) Minnosota does have to beast the Avs, right?

it depends on how it all plays out. colorado is so far ahead in the standings that it's pretty much guaranteed that they will be playing a wild card team in the first round. minnesota probably will not be a wild card team. if colorado loses to that wild card team (we can only hope), then they will not be playing each other. i have no idea what the second round will look like, though!
