Flyer: Forest Textures
I used Photoshop and Indesign to finish my flyer.
I chose the “Apertura” as the main font. Because of the trend is about forest, the first thing I thought of is trees. In order to show the feeling of the wool, I chose this font. This font is very straight, the curved arc is not abrupt. And I also used the dark green, because it is one of the main color. In the first page, the cover, I used two color for the trend title to emphasize.

I made this flyer based on the previous moodboards, and added some keywords about this trend.
And I printed it. Overall it was successful, but there are some color differences in printing process. Maybe I should added the color number based on PANTONE.

HUGE Update Time
The page is back up and here is what you missed:
Theme: We only did a slight rework this time around, because I’m still loving the color scheme but we needed to make things a little more legible and organized. I’m pretty happy with it myself, but feel free to give us some feedback.
Pages: For some of the pages, we stripped their custom themes if we deemed them not important enough to be all fancily formatted. It will make it easier for people to access on mobile and for us to update. In additional we created a brand new masterlist to replace the old one. Since we were able to weed out a lot of characters, it was easier for us to transition to a more traditional character masterlist without it being too chaotic. (No worries, not all of our characters have been put up on the masterlist yet, since we are still waiting to hear back from a few people before we move forward with the extra work.)
Bio Removal: We have taken down quite a few of our beloved. Right now, while we are still waiting on hearing back from a few people, we have brought our numbers down to 90 total characters, with 44 of them currently being taken. This is a pretty good number for us and allows us not only to get more needed characters picked up, but it also gives us the ability to keep pushing out new bios without building up too much. We still have those old bios stored away somewhere if we get to the point that we can bring them back, but for now they will be in holding.
FC Changes: On that same note, we have done some FC changes to some of our open characters (and one taken character). I will list those below the cut so everyone knows.
RSVPs: 17 of our original 21 members from before the hiatus have sent in their responses. So far, 4 people are leaving, but 13 of us are staying, and we are still waiting on another 4 to hear back from everyone. If we do not hear from you by August 27th, we will be reopening your characters. Farewell to Ashley, Mali, Spencer, and Mandi. I will post all the unfollow links below the cut.
Finally, reopening: We have set a date and it is Sunday, September 3rd.  We acknowledge that for those of us getting back into school, this may be cutting it a little close, but we can’t see opening any earlier than that and we don’t want to wait too long. For me, that’s just a few days before my first class. However, we will be posting muse things, prompts, and character templates in the coming weeks to help people get prepared and into character, and in my eyes this will be the perfect time for us to prepare to mesh schedules with both school and rp and figure out how it will all work.
If you have any questions, let us know! We will be beginning to promote and are immediately receiving applications, though we will not be accepting until opening day.
 Unfollow:
Aisling Sturnidae - reopened
Enya Ember - removed
Geneva Lanehart - closed
Icarus James - reopened
Reed Shore - closed

Crazy Funny Asians, Bloody Mary Festival and SF Music Day: 3 SF events for the weekend
Tumblr media
Here are our top picks for entertainment options in town this weekend: local comedy, brunch-inspired drinks, and a free all-day concert at a historic venue.
Friday
Crazy Funny Asians (406 Clement St.)
If you’re looking to kick the weekend off with a laugh, head on over to Neck of the Woods in the Inner Richmond for the Crazy Funny Asians comedy festival.
Inspired by the blockbuster movie Crazy Rich Asians, the weekend-long comedy fest features all-new sets from an array of Asian-American local comics.
The laugh fest starts with two Friday shows at 8 and 10 p.m., starring Janesh Rahlan (Cobbs Comedy Club) and PX Floro (San Jose Improv and opener for Aries Spears). Additional comics are reportedly joining the lineup, too.

The event continues on Saturday with comics Jeen Yee (Cobbs Comedy Club), Vincent Chuang (Punchline), Kevin Wong (Cobbs Comedy Club) and Tessie Chua (SF Comedy Day).
“Let’s celebrate the Bay’s Asian-American culture and heritage with laughs,” write the organizers.
Tickets are free with an Eventbrite RSVP, but cash donations are appreciated and there’s a two-drink minimum. Without reservations, it’s $10 at the door.
Saturday
The Bloody Mary Festival (934 Brannan St.)
A bloody mary with brunch is as American as apple pie. So, why not spend part of your weekend sampling ten different, innovated bloodies sourced from around the Bay at the Bloody Mary Festival?

This event at SOMArts Cultural Center will feature concoctions from local establishments like St. Mary’s Pub, Kitchen Story, Finnegans Wake, Cliff House, Pablito’s Micheladas and more. The 21+ festival is sponsored by Crater Lake Spirits.
Also on hand: snacks and drink samples from Marlo’s Bakeshop, Cypress Grove Cheese, Polar Seltzer, Kind Snacks, and Fusion Jerky, among others.
There’s two sessions to choose from, morning and afternoon. In the morning session, VIP “Bloody Ballers” ($55) have access from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., with general admission ($45) from 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Prefer to come later on? Afternoon Bloody Ballers get in from 3-6 p.m., with general admission from 3:45-6 p.m.
More information and tickets are available on the festival website and Facebook event page.
Sunday
SF Music Day (401 Van Ness Ave.)
On Sunday, wind down from the weekend at the 11th annual SF Music Day festival. This year’s theme is Colors of the Keyboard, “highlighting the wide range of expression possible on that instrument, from tango accordion, to improvised music, classical repertoire and electric organ.”

The War Memorial Auditorium will offer more than eight hours of music from 37 ensembles, including string quartets, jazz combos, chamber groups and more.
Admission is free, and the doors are open 8 a.m – 8 p.m. You can find more information about the performances, including a full schedule, here.
