Hi everyone, it's been a minute! 👋^^

I took a little unannounced break from social media in the last week or so to focus on IRL stuff. I've done some recharging, reflecting, and, thanks to the support of my IRL partner, family, and friends (and Sally!) I started taking steps to make some much-needed changes in my life. The first big step for me is FINALLY saying enough is enough and finding a new day job.

I haven't mentioned it here lately, but the job I've had for the last three years has been getting increasingly stressful and has slowly been wearing away at me mentally and physically. You ever heard the metaphor of the boiling frog? Well, I've been feeling like frog soup for a looong time now. I've only stayed where I am because I've gotten so attached to my crew and was terrified to let them all down. However, I'm realizing now that if people value me (and not just what I can do for them), they will understand if I need to jump out of the pot when I can no longer stand the heat (and it also helps that half the staff is about ready to jump out with me lol)

I'm going in for my first training shift at a new (much smaller and quieter) place tonight! While I'm pretty nervous to make a good first impression, I know I'm more than cut out for the new position and will pick things up quickly once I get started. I'll have a pretty full schedule until I've fully transitioned to the new job, but if things go as I'm hoping, I'll soon have a lot more spoons to spare outside of work for art and fun stuff (like hanging out with all you beautiful horny bastards on my blog! The break was needed, but I missed being here so goddamn much aaahhhhhh 😭💕💕💕)

Please, please, PLEASE make your s/i(s) as OP, gorgeous, extra, plot-central and cringe as you want. S/is for the AUs within my overly-complicated and meta 'Meet the Fishers' selfship AU-

-Penpal!Mitch: An art student at the local community college who became Sals penpal while he was in prison. They fell madly in love and went on the run together (and it inevitably ended Badly 😬)

-Coworker!Mitch: Workaholic worry-wart line cook/ resident cinnamon roll at the Nockfell Diner, where Sal got his first job as a dishwasher. Classic wholesome boy-meets-boy slowburn 💘

-Dealer!Mitch: Asshole hedonist drug dealer who sells 'The Addison Special' to Nockfell residents. Got Sal hooked on the sex-and-drugs lifestyle (it was fun while it lasted 🤷‍♂️)

-Videogame!Mitch: Ultra kawaii dating sim AI in a convenient tamagotchi-clone package. Sal got so obsessed with their 'relationship' that he became a NEET and his fam had to give him an intervention.

-Neighbor!Mitch: Not-so-secretly creepy yandere girl-next-door with social anxiety and self-esteem issues. After stalking her to make sure she wasn't a cult member, Sal and her became a cute/gross yanxyan couple (until he had to try and off her on ritual night oop-)

-Perfect!Mitch: A 'perfect'/absolutely disastrous mix of all of the above, the meta s/i who gets kidnapped by a not-so-fictional-other (THE Sal Fisher) and is slowly driven to cannibalistic insanity after learning the truth about the multiverse (aka Sals story is true, our universe is just another possible reality in Sally Face, and this Mitch is just another 'Mitch' in a long line of Mitchs Sal has found while traveling around the multiverse)

Miscellaneous s/is-

-Werewolf!k.e.w.k.: [insert culty mishap here] turned k.e.w.k. into a werewolf and Sal into a wererabbit. Where could this PoSsIbLy Go????? 🤔🤔🤔 (underdeveloped but still fun, and may pop back in during Easter who knows uwu)

Sally and I had plans to go out. Despite it being One Of Those Days, I got ready, put on my best happy face, and went to his place to pick him up. I would hate to cancel so suddenly and let him down just to spend the evening alone, wallowing in my apartment... I could fake it for at least a few hours, for his sake.

When I got there, something felt off. His greeting sounded a lot like mine- happy, but a little hollow.

"...How are you doing today, Sal?"

A pause.

"I'm doing alright. Just, you know... a little tired today, but I'll be fine."

"Oh, good...!" I finally let out the breath I'd been holding.

He tilted his head, confused.

"Ah- I mean, not good that you're tired, I uh... well, I'm tired today too, so..."

"Oh. Do you wanna do this some other time, then...?"

"Yeah... well, no... I'd still like to hang out, if you want. Even if we're tired, we can at least be tired together...?"
