Sometimes I think about sharing a silly anecdote from something in my life, then realize that a lot of things in there are like. recognizable aspects in the culture I'm from that is Very Specifically tied to a location and may possibly reveal the province I live in, which is honestly a tad bit too close for comfort

#bleep bloop #you may know the country I live in but that is ALL #I sometimes remember that time I managed to guess the city where someone I follow was from #just from small tells I picked up on and recognized as being a common Thing in that place #they didn't even run a personal blog #I just somehow subconsciously recognized stuff like 'hey I wonder if they're from so and so' #and then some time later on they mention their city and. #I've long since unfollowed them due to change of fandom interests on both sides but yeah #also the amount of times I've talked to someone either from my area or knows a person in my area for 5 minutes #and then they go 'oh yeah btw are you (insert specific culture)' #and you can't even blame it on my accent or dialect because the one I have is a mix from an entirely different island #or my family name because it's not commonly found here (it's mostly concentrated in my parent's home province) #like man what the heck
