Okay all these people talking about their shiny luck makes me so jealous. Because I have been playing since Gen 1 and I have never in my entire career encountered a single wild shiny (besides the scripted red gyrados). I played every mainline gen, every remake gen, even Legends Arceus which is famous for pumping out shiny mon. Never even encountered a wild one let alone caught one.

NOT ONE??? EVEN IN THE GEN 6 FRIEND SAFARI THAT HAS LIKE A 1/600 SHINY CHANCE???? THAT'S SO UNLUCKY I WAS BEATING OFF SHINY HAUNTERS WITH A STICK IN THE FRIEND SAFARI 😭😭😭

AND EVEN IN LGPE WITH THE SUPER EASY SHINY HUNTING METHOD???? people literally complained that it was too easy to shiny hunt in "let's go" and that kanto shinies weren't special anymore 😭😭😭

at this point you might want to RNG manipulate a gen 4 game to exploit the Cute Charm glitch that gives you like a 1 in 3 chance to get a shiny for all pokemon with a chosen gender ratio 😔😔😔
