Just curious, but why do you not like mha anymore?? I’ve seen a decent amount of hate for it recently and it really surprised me bc it seemed to be so universally liked before
The first few arcs were paced really well and had a great control of its cast, but an arc with some of the worst pacing on the planet (8 Precepts) followed by political stuff followed by writing that just straight up doesn’t make any sense (Gentle criminal) which barely survived on its very early-canon-esque B-plot about the school festival which was pretty good in every respect, followed by MORE boring political stuff that goes nowhere and a redemption arc for a character who didn’t need a redemption arc, and even if I wanted one it’s so half-hearted and vague and totally meaningless thematically and only really serves to prop up a character who was only just now introduced (Hawks) who is linked to YOU GUESSED IT POLITICAL STUFF but that no longer matters because there’s NEW villains based on some political stuff that is actually relevant to the stuff that’s been built up and tells us more about the most iconic villain in the story but oh did you want this to reflect on the events that happened before TOO BAD they are now antagonists to the LEAGUE OF VILLAINS who are now the UNDERDOGS and oh maybe its because it’s going to be about the doctor and HIS relationship to all for one so the 2 antagonists can create a full pictuNOPE they’re going to throw down or some shit and also none of the themes make any sense and the ones that do are completely incoherent and there are so many characters who have yet to receive definition and I’m rapidly realizing 90% of the character appeal came from fanon because the manga refuses to ruminate on ANYTHING that happens or any of its characters and I don’t think Horikoshi even understands the concept of a story having themes & arcs that reflect each other and I didn’t even mention Bakugou’s arc happening non-linearly and almost entirely off-screen so you have a Good Antagonist, Good Broken Relationship, and Good Rival all happening out of fucking nowhere with ZERO sense of progression other than the fact that their relationship is different now and let me die! let me die! let me die! let me die! let me die! let me d
anyway read Omniscient Reader and watch Gintama. That’s my 2 cents
