afaik damon's work centres heavily on feelings and emotionality and baring your true soul. so, "kissing behind closed doors" is probably gonna be them kissing, yes, but the point is that we don't get to see it. because as much as we'd like to, this is something for them, an intimacy that is not intended for any audience and so our view will always stay limited.
