(in between all of the madness) debating if I go ahead and make my Nightwing dress backless after all

I think it would be higher impact that way, to have it be all solid fabric in the front and then bam, backless

I. don’t know if I’m 100% comfortable wearing a backless dress, but also... I mean, am I actually going to be wearing this dress as a regular cocktail dress anyway lmao (how many cocktail parties do I even go to. exactly. and I guess I can always add in the extra material to close up the back if I wanted to...)

also lowkey thinking about buying a mask to wear to make it more “cosplay”-y, though I probably should order that soon so it’s out of the way

but. hm lowkey self conscious about my skin complexion (I have really dry skin lmao) and also stretch marks lmao, but like... I think the dress really would be more high impact with an open back lol

#crafts talk #I tried to be a genius about my muslin and cut it center-front opening/with the back piece on the fold #theoretically so I could try to fit it to myself to do pattern alterations on #but I may need the front to be one piece to work on the pattern piece splitting.... #if I make it backless maybe the top part slash sleeve doesn't have to be mesh like maybe that'd be too much #I dunno... #(I also have to consider lmao if I can wear a bra with the dress lol.
