Went back to rewatch this scene again to write down some more plot points for F/U's sequel and wondered what the hell happened to Johnson while Matty was getting his ass beat by Joel. Discovered yup he sure is there and you can see him just watching when Matty falls.

I've got some ideas for why they had him do that, like Ethan is too after all, but I'll bet he was probably going to say something to Joel later, he wouldn't actually let him get thrown out for good, the both of them wouldn't, Avron just spoke up first.

Anyway guess who's gunna slightly fixit season 1 so Johnson actively stands up for his boys a little more openly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
