I MIGHT make them half-brothers. Might. I think it would be interesting lmao. It's based off a one-off line in Graystripe's Vow where Fang asks Graystripe if he is his father, which Graystripe denies. Fang has no canonical father, Gremlin's mate is unknown.

Also it's not Bumble, it's Bumblestripe. Son of Graystripe born to Millie in the Settlement Era (BB!Po3).

Something about Bumblestripe, having just said goodbye to his father in the mountain, after meeting a golden brother he'd been compared to his entire life, comes to the old territory and finds out there was ANOTHER one too. Did Graystripe know about Fang/Honeysuckle? Did he just neglect to mention him because it would never be relevant?

The answer would be that Gremlin simply did not want to join Clan life. She wanted to raise her kit in BloodClan, and she did. But... Bumblestripe's learning a lot about Graystripe, and trying to unlearn the image of his dad he's had his whole life. Graystripe used to be this amazing figure that Bumblestripe wasn't living up to, so it was a personal failure that he was never good enough.

But the truth is, Graystripe's got good and bad. He wasn't a great dad to... anyone, really. He could be a fine deputy, a decent warrior, but he wasn't anyone's great parent. He was just a guy, at the end of the day. Not a monster, and not a hero.
