It should be illegal to work an average employee more than six consecutive days in a row unless specifically requested. I’m on my sixth day, and was physically fading fast in my last half hour of my shift, and I still have two more days before I get a break. The ‘you have to give a day off in every week’ does jack shit when retail could then say ‘okay, Sunday off one week, Saturday the next’.

I just don't like my work ethics and loyalty being abused; because shocker; that causes mental and physical stress #Would be nicer if the entire store weren't being stretched super thin and if corp gave a shit but of course they don't #And we in general have been doing damage control for so long that it can't be 'controlled' anymore #Everything's damaged #And everything looks like shit in every aspect of the store #At this point we might be a 'working' business; but absolutely nothing has been working well for a solid month #And a month is a long time to be shouldering non-stop stress #And working among a mess thus causing even more and ever expanding mess #I like the team I work with; but this is def the worst literal work environment I've ever seen #And when I primarily worked retail hell season for five years; that's super bad #I await the day I can stress a little less again and make offhand posts that aren't about work and stress #But it's a lil overwhelming rn and I'm 70% pain so #It's unfortunately what's on my mind that needs to get thrown in the void
