How do we live on a planet where there’s one gorgeous Frankenstein musical and more than one “meh” Dracula musical?  It doesn’t seem fair...

#dracula #frankenstein #I do love quite a few songs in Wildhorn's musical--'Life After Life' and 'Deep in the Darkest Night' and 'The Master's Song' are bangers. #But the rest of it falls into that samey trap I've mentioned before. #And 'Entre L'Amour et la Mort' is just... damn strange in that way only French musicals can be. :P #And the West End musical was so dour and *somehow even more samey* that I couldn't listen all the way through. #You have one of the best-known Gothic stories practically gift-wrapped for you people--do something with it! #And don't just crib from the Coppola movie because why take the lazy way out and steal from a film that wasn't even that faithful?
