hello this is an invitation/request to ramble about textile production in rivendell vs the swamp in the arranged marriages au I am very curious about this thank you
Most of this is going under a cut because it is going to get a bit long and rambly and is 100% as much an info-dump as it is a worldbuilding post.
the TLDR is Wool VS Linen
MOSTLY INFO DUMP PORTION
Rivendell:
The majority of Rivendell textiles are wool-based.
They do import some silk from the Overgrown but that is reserved for special occasions and items. Mostly silk threads are used for magical stitching and silk fabric as a center lining for leather and chain armor.
Almost everything else is wool.
Most of their wool comes from sheep but they also have llamas, rabbits, and goats that all are domesticated for this purpose. (Wool as a term refers to any fiber obtained from an animal, even if some of it is technically hair, for textile purposes it is wool)
Most of their export is sheep wool, they have, in fact, increased their sheep herds specifically to accommodate export in the recent decade or so as they open their borders and form alliances beyond the Overgrown.
Wool is an incredibly versatile fiber. It's water resistant and thermal properties make it ideal for the snowy mountain terrain of Rivendell's territory. It can also be made into fabric so fine it is literal gauze. It can be felted it can be knitted it can be woven. Saying Rivendell's textiles are almost 95% wool does not accurately convey how varied those textiles are. Generations of Rivendell elves have spent their ~500 year long lifespans coming up with new things to do with wool.
And its not just from sheep.
Rabbit wool is most commonly used for items like underclothes or baby clothes and blankets.
Llama wool actually comes in two distinct forms, because Llamas have layered coats. Originally they were used as beasts of burden but were also, over the generations, bred for fleece as well. Their rougher outer coats are used more for things like rope and cordage, the inner fleece is similar to rabbit.
Llama is also the least common wool, since it takes about two years for a llama to regrow its coat after shearing and they aren't exactly the most space efficient of livestock. The fleece is one of the luxury exports sold mostly to foreign nobility who want to feel fancy and brag about their "exotic [insert item here]". The outer coat fibers are mostly sold as cordage, which is excellent quality and in high demand in the seafaring nations. (This is also due to elvish craft-magic, more on that later in the worldbuilding-focused section)
Goats are a full range from coarser fibers to fine soft ones. It functions much the same as sheep fiber, just with a lower yield. Goats are primarily used in the outer villages of Rivendell in the highest, sheerest cliffs where they are more suited to the terrain than their moor wool-laden cousins.
The Swamp:
Most Swamp-made textiles are linen.
Mostly made from flax and/or hemp. (Yes, that kind of hemp, go ahead, make the jokes.)
(Hemp grown for fiber is a different variety than hemp grown for more recreational reasons. It has a much lower THC and the plant itself is a lot larger. I'm not saying they don't grow the other kind, and use it medicinally, but it isn't relevant to anything I will be writing. If that's your wheelhouse you are welcome to take this and run with it.)
Linen is a lightweight and absorbent fabric that is ideal for hotter climates so it is very common to see in the Northern kingdoms. It's absorbency does mean it dirties and starts smelling fairly quickly but it is also a very resilient fabric that takes washing well. It also has the default state of "wrinkled" which, to someone accustomed to other types of fabric, does lend itself to looking rather unkempt. (You see where I'm going with this.)
Like wool there is a wide range of fabrics, ranging from the ultra fine and soft to coarser, more Textured pieces. (basically, the underclothes to sail canvas range) both flax and hemp, especially the latter, are also used to make cordage and hemp in particular is often used to make macrame and beaded jewelry, irl and in the Swamp. Fishing nets are also a common product.
Textiles are not a notable export of the Swamp so there is less to say there.
IRL flax linen makes up some of the oldest surviving fabric and clothing samples, dating back thousands of years.
Flax fibers are not elastic, they don't stretch and shrink while worked with and don't have a lot of give. This does make working with it in the process of fabric making somewhat difficult and requiring a lot of skill. The resulting fabric though is incredibly durable so its a trade off.
The Mostly Worldbuilding Portion
This is just going to be a bunch of disorganized bullet points really
A significant portion of the flax used by the Swamp from linen production is grown and harvested in Helianthia and brought to the swamp for manufacture. This is actually the primary threat Mythland represents, (you know, besides rampant destruction and harassment along the border) is interrupting that trade route. They do also grow their own but do not enough for what is needed.
Elvish magic is almost entirely based around fiber arts. Embroidery, knot-work, charms stitched into seams and knitted into the very makeup of a garment. Wool and Gold. (gold-thread embroidery is powerful stuff) A side effect of all of this is that when small Xornoth started setting things on fire and small Scott sneezed frost it was a pretty solid indication that their magic was a bit more directly divinely sourced.
Related, elvish rope is reliable. It doesn't degrade or break or even cut easily. (This is straight from Tolkein but it works too well not to poach)
Elves build things to last, a single elf-made garment can last for several human generations. At least.
Net making/repair in the Swamp is one of those community tasks that a lot of people sit down together and do while socializing. Almost everyone has at least the basic skills required.
Generations worth of irreplaceable historical tapestries were lost when Xornoth burned down the Rivendell palace during their coup and every time the weavers and artisans and historians of the kingdom remember that they come very close to being assassinated.

"I miss the land and the air in Britain,” admitted Tom Hiddleston during our latest cover interview. “The smells and the sounds of the parks and the country in every season. The way the birds change their tune and routine. The feeling, when you’re home, of knowing the way”.
It’s profound stuff. But, for all of Britain’s green and pleasant virtues, Hiddleston’s home nation remains terrifically tricky to dress for. Whether it’s damp springs or tepid winters, Britain’s weather is more unpredictable than even man’s most comprehensive wardrobe can contend with. And the most fickle month? September — as the heat of summer heat struggles and scuffles with autumn’s chill.
Thankfully, our pub-bound shoot with the British actor sets the pace for September style, with Hiddleston slipping on suede shoes, mid-layer knits and the perfect pair of jeans. So follow in his well-dressed footsteps and learn these six style lessons…
Wear a knitted polo shirt with your suit
Tumblr media
It’s September; and that mean’s it’s back to work time. But, while we’ll always hold a torch for ties, the best style bet for your suiting this year is the cosy knitted polo. Soft of handle, and here to bridge the gap between your work-from-home wardrobe and old officewear, it’s a new late summer staple — and can be worn everywhere from the boardroom to your local bar (as Tom Hiddleston will attest).
Our choices run the gamut; and include a silk-woven, short-sleeved option from New & Lingwood, an Italian-made cotton offering from Sunspel in anthe evocatively-named ‘Pepper Melange’ colourway and perhaps our most office-appropriate choice — a long-sleeved ‘Cashwool’ polo shirt from Aurélien with mother-of-pearl buttons and a slim fit.
Don’t be afraid of chunky, patterned knits
Tumblr media
It was a bold move; putting Tom Hiddleston in a chunky, pastel-coloured pullover for our summer issue. But it’s a gamble that paid off handsomely (as most things do when the actor and his movie star curls are involved). Late summer, then, is the perfect time to dig out the knits you usually reserve for the dark days of winter; jumpers with bold patterns or touches of playfulness.
Like Hiddleston’s sweater, we’d go for stripes. From Aspesi, this 100% wool option has autumnal colours woven through every thread. From Toast, we’ve opted for a sleeveless Fair Isle style — ideal for any slightly balmier September days. And, perhaps closest to the actor’s knit is this gently-striped sweater from NN07, which swaps Hiddleston’s bold blue bars for softer, more neutral tones.
Classic denim jeans are a seasonal staple
Tumblr media
September means it’s time to stash your shorts away for another year — and pull out your most trimly-tailored trousers. But forget the natty checked suit Hiddleston buttoned up for our latest cover shoot, and instead follow his lead by investing in a timeless, dependable pair of denim jeans.
And one brand that knows the value of tradition is Benedict Raven. Crafted from a cotton-stretch blend, the British brand’s ‘Clifton’ jeans are ideal September staples. Aubin, too, has the perfect pair for the late summer season; woven with hemp fibres to add some green credentials to your blues. Or, for a wider leg option, try A.P.C’s ‘Leo’ design.
Add some warmth and texture with suede
Tumblr media
With the weather cooling down slightly, September offers you the chance to dig out slightly heavier fabrics and materials. Hiddleston here wears a sophisticated overshirt in that softest, most supple of leathers; suede. It’s rugged-yet-refined, and the perfect weighty way to bulk up your shirts before jacket season hits.
Paul Smith, like Hiddleston himself, is a British institution; a quintessential gent and a designer with an eye for a fantastic field jacket. Reiss, too, has a similarly napped navy option — with a zip that makes it perfect for these transitional months. Or, if you’re looking for more natural tones, try New & Lingwood’s overshirt; cut from goat suede and stitched to life in Austria.
And go for suede with your shoes, too
Tumblr media
Suede isn’t just for shirts. Here, Hiddleston slipped on a pair of perfectly seasonal lace-ups from Edward Green — slightly brogued shoes that find a style sweet spot in September. Because, when the hot days of summer are behind us and the rain-soaked winter months are yet to burst their clouds, that’s when suede shoes really hit their stride.
Whether you wear Edward Green’s ‘Chelsea’ Oxfords — shoes with capped toes and twin-stitching — or opt for Crockett & Jones’ ‘Lanark III’ Derby shoes, you won’t go wrong with versatile brown tones this September. Or, if you’re looking to make slightly more of a statement, why not pick up a pair of green ‘Dalby’ shoes from Cheaney?
Try out tonal dressing in autumnal colours
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting your September shades right is important across the autumnal board — as Hiddleston’s neutral-toned outfits here prove. We’d recommend keeping things relatively bright for these final days of summer weather, but opting for ochres, tans, light browns and beiges to ease your wardrobe elegantly and effortlessly into autumn.
This zip cardigan from Aurélien is the perfect piece of transitional style; softly woven in Italy and designed with versatility in mind. New & Lingwood’s bamboo trousers, similarly, will step you from warmer days to winter months in breathable, sustainable style. And, for a tailored shirt in these tonal colours, try Turnbull & Asser.

Where does this portal go? You walk for what feels like a whole continent's distance, uncertain, for a destination you still hold little concept of as of yet. There's a presence that keeps you company, however, winding its way into the very fabric of this dimension.
Keranes, you intuit as if you have known her for most of your life. The more you walk, the more you feel certain that must be her name. She guides you, takes you closer towards where you must go through the creation of the skies and the earth. Before you, she makes your whole world. There is another presence making this world too, you know deep in your soul, but she does not make it alongside you.
She is farther off, you think. Keranes is here with you however.
But Keranes grows weary. You sense her compassion morph in her exhaustion, and the woods around you begin to rot, beckoning you even further into the safety you yearn for.
My love, my light.
You begin to grow strange and numb in this world. You had entered to pursue your quarry, but this world... the longer you stay, the farther you walk, the more this sense of unease bleeds into you.
When will we return to the surface?
And that's when you reach your paradise at last: the village of Rusalka. But you are no less exhausted from the pilgrimage.
The Circumstances
Rusalka is built into what appears to be a massive pit and is covered by a dome. Inside, the weather and temperature remains constant so it's easy to forget about the summer rains and heat beyond. Additionally, the village is entirely self-sufficient. Clothing, furniture, food, and medicine are all produced within its territory, and the crops grow year-round here, both out in the fields and in the many impressive greenhouses scattered around the village.
Before you enter the village, Keranes tells you all that in order to dismantle this world and the ill powers within it, there need to be some sacrifices. Seven of Rusalka's inhabitants, specifically ones from a group she calls ‘The Newcomers’, must be killed and their corpses left someplace outside the village walls. It does not matter which of them die nor how, but she will return by the end of the week to retrieve the corpses to help you end Rusalka and the evil power lurking and building within here. It is the Newcomers’ spirits that are keeping the place stable, so it would seem.
Upon arriving, the village's inhabitants turn out to have some very familiar faces. Amidst the residents are fourteen people: Python, Jeralt, Brigid, Diarmuid, Reyson, Vigarde, Emmeryn, Panne, Holst, Kris, Nergal, Ryoma, Harken, and Hel. Together, they make up a group the village calls ‘The Newcomers.’ They claim to have arrived some time ago and that they've been waiting for you to join them in living in this paradise forever. You are safe here so long as you stay inside the village, they insist, and now have the ability to be in a world free from pain. They dress in hemp tunics and shoes with vibrant hues, and you truly have never seen them happier. Despite their familiarity to you, you cannot help but feel greatly unnerved by their happiness somehow…
Due to the efforts of the Newcomers vouching for you, your party has been tentatively allowed to stay within Rusalka. For now, the fourteen of you are sleeping in one of the village's largest buildings, being granted accommodations as a group. The village expects you to pitch in whilst you stay; paradise, as happy as it can be, still requires hands to help sustain it!
The Newcomers insist you join them. Keranes and your mission asks that you end them. The clock is ticking. You will have to make a choice.
What Do I Do?
Make your case. Keranes made it very clear that at least seven people need to be dead by the end of the week. If there's an inhabitant you wish to save, this is your chance to try and persuade your teammates within your threads to keep them alive. Alternatively, if you believe someone should die, this is also your opportunity to argue why and try to convince them to take your side.
Commit murder. If you don't think cooperating and discussing with your peers is enough, or you wish to make their choice a little easier by making it so there are less people to save, you could always take matters into your own hands. A guide on this system will be in the next section.
Complete tasks and assimilate into the village. You still need to find a way to survive within this realm, unable to find your way out of here now. This is the only civilization for miles. It might do you well to get on the village's good side while you're stuck here... or at least figure out more about where you even are.
How to End a Life
If you wish to murder one of the village inhabitants before the week is over, DM your Team GM, Mod N. N will ask you who you wish to kill as well as how you wish to commit the murder in very basic terms for the sake of flavoring the death.
In the team channel, N will then ping the teammate most closely associated with the inhabitant you are trying to kill. That person alongside N (on behalf of the murderer so as to preserve their anonymity) will roll a 1d20 each. If N's roll result is equal to or higher than the number the other person rolled, you will have been successful with your murder and the corpse will be available for the group to discover.
If N rolls lower, the inhabitant will survive the encounter but will be unable to recall who tried to murder them.
If you wish to kill your own most closely associated inhabitant, you can. The process shall be the same except that you will be rolling for the sake of your inhabitant and N will still be rolling on behalf of your murder attempt. This is to keep up your anonymity, but your muse is free to reveal to their teammates that they murdered (or at least tried to in case you failed) that person if they truly wish to.
If the group would instead prefer to execute an inhabitant together, you can set this up. To instigate a potential village execution, ping N in the team channel with a name of an inhabitant since this will be treated as a public matter that all the muses will be discussing IC. N will create a form and ping the whole team to decide the fate of that specific inhabitant. If a simple majority is achieved within the next 24 hours, then the execution shall automatically be successful. More than one public execution vote can be running at the same time. In the event of a successful execution, how the group chooses to do it can be flavored by you all, but the village does make a point of noting how dangerous the world is outside of the village if you wanted some ideas...
You are allowed to kill more than seven village inhabitants if you would like. If the group fails to obtain a minimum of seven corpses by the end of the week, ███ ████ █████ ██████ ██.
How you choose to accumulate corpses will influence Public Opinion. The more private/secretive the method, the less public opinion you shall lose for each death. The more public, the more you lose for each death. ㅤ- Successful Murder Attempts: -1 per corpse ㅤ- Unsuccessful Murder Attempts: -1 per attempt ㅤ- Group-Voted Execution (Private Method): -5 per corpse ㅤ- Group-Voted Execution (Public Method): -10 per corpse

Important Notes
This event is mostly meant to be driven by the players rather than being ushered by your GM at every turn. Please take note that while the tasks above will contribute to the narrative of the campaign, you are not limited to only threading about the tasks above. You are free to write threads unrelated to the tasks if you so wish, so long as they take place within the setting of the event.
In addition to the above, if writing a task thread, please indicate it either in the title post of your thread or in your starter so that it is clear from the start.
Also, task threads are not limited to only featuring writing directly about the task at hand. You are encouraged to write character exploration and conversations outside of the scope of just the task as your characters carry them out. Please feel free to have your muses discuss the plot or anything else currently on their mind. See these tasks as a way to get characters together physically in one space, but the narrative freedom you are allowed is still just the same as most other threads too.
There is currently no time limit rule for when posts need to be written, but please remain in open communication with your thread partners/teammates. Shorter posts are encouraged to help keep things moving and for relationships to progress along with the narrative.
"Good" or "Bad" outcomes will still progress the campaign, so don't feel too stressed about needing to "win" this event. The primary focus on this event should be character development and building relationships with your teammates. Actions have consequences, but all consequences can have narrative potential for exploration.
The team document was linked up above, but here is another link to Team Theta's team document if you require it. This will also be pinned in your team channel. Whilst it will be updated in certain areas by your GM, players should do their best to update the thread tracker on it with link to thread replies and any notes they might wish to jot down whether for their own sake or for helping their teammates stay in the loop.
If you have any questions at any time or require additional information, ping Mod N.

“The Agraloop™ refines natural fibers derived from agricultural crops into textile-grade fiber called Agraloop™ BioFibre™.  A NEW Natural Fibermindfully sourced for circularity. With our specialized wet processing technique, cellulose fiber from stems and leaves are purified into soft fiber bundles ready to spin into yarns. The Agraloop processes left-overs from various food and medicine crops including, oilseed hemp/flax, CBD hemp, banana, and pineapple.” - https://circularsystems.com/agraloop
Pinayarn: Fabric made from pineapple waste
“Piñayarn® by Ananas Anam is an innovative and low impact yarn, made from waste pineapple leaves. Piñayarn offers a 100% plant-based, recyclable, and biodegradable textile solution for a world otherwise dominated by petroleum-based textiles and resource intense virgin fibres.” - https://www.ananas-anam.com/pinayarn/
Recycled Cotton
“Recycled cotton can be generally defined as converting cotton fabric into cotton fiber that can be reused in textile products. Recycled cotton is also commonly referred to as regenerated cotton, reclaimed cotton, or shoddy. Recycled content includes recycled raw material, as well as used, reconditioned, and re-manufactured components.
Pre-consumer: includes scraps created by yarn and fabric by-products
Post-consumer: includes garments, upholstery, towels, household items to be repurposed
The largest volume of recycled cotton sources is produced through pre-consumer waste, such as cutting scraps. Post-consumer waste is more difficult to sort through due to various color shades, fabric blends, and it is generally a more labor-intensive process.” - https://cottonworks.com/en/topics/sustainability/cotton-sustainability/recycled-cotton/
Mylium: Mycelium-based leather
“At Mylium we treasure fungi that grow in a thread-like network, called mycelium. Mycelium grows by extending and branching its tips in search of nutrients. The threads hook strongly together and are pressed to form a uniform sheet.” -https://www.mylium.nl/technology/
Hemp fabric
“One of the most eco-friendly aspects of hemp is that it uses very little water, about 1/20th of the amount of water it takes to grow cotton and can often be rain-fed. Hemp can grow in almost all soil conditions, and unlike cotton (which depletes the soil of nutrients) hemp’s deep-reaching roots preserve the topsoil and subsoil. Hemp plants grow densely as well, leaving no room for weeds and competing plants and is less vulnerable to insects, which means little to no use of pesticides.” Hemp fabric is also biodegradable, and depending on where it is sourced from- largely produced by sustainable practices. - https://wearethefabricstore.com/au/sustainability/gots-organic-hemp
Lyocell and Modal: fibres made from sustainable wood
“TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibers help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into nature’s cycle. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. The certified biobased fibers are manufactured using an environmentally responsible production process. The fibers are certified as [100%] compostable and biodegradable, and thus can fully revert back to nature.” - https://www.tencel.com/b2b/sustainability
An interesting article on the incredible role of mycelium and waste management...

those fast fashion tops that are like. faux vintage band shirts and proudly proclaim “state champion 1982″ and all that: i hate you and your shitty polyester blend. i hate that you’re made of so much plastic that merely washing you once will strip it away and turn the shirt sheer in less than a year. i hate that people defend this shit with “poor people need cloths too” when this type of shirt can be bought at a vintage store made of genuine cotton from the actual 60s to 90s that will be wearable in another 50 years because cotton is made to last. i’m sick of seeing pleather jackets defended by faux environmental activists who go “at least an animal didn’t die for it!!!” yeah well ti’s going to fill an animal with microplastics, you absolute fucking moronic clown. at least the genuine lamb leather jacket from the 50s is going to be wearable and usable in another 100 years! at least the real cow leather pants from the 80s will continue to provide warmth and sexiness in another 150 years. at least the snakeskin boots will continue to fuck hard in another 200 years.
when you’re dead and fuck buried, that plastic waste of an outfit you bought will be still swimming in the ocean in 200 years because wah, you wanted a leather jacket but decided pleather (which, by the way, doesn’t even fuckin insulate all that well in the cold and is ultimately a useless fashion statement) was better instead of the hand me down sheepskin because “at least an animal didn’t die for it”. oh this fuckin faux vintage shirt from target was “cheaper” but it’s falling to fuckin bits and shredded in the ocean, where the world is fuckin falling apart.
i hate you, fake plastic shirts. i hate you pleather. i hate you acrylic fabric. i hate you polyester blends. i hate you fake vintage shirts at hot topic and target and walmart. i hate you, forever 21 and your fuckin overpriced plastic fashion. i hate you, tiktok, for encouraging hauls from shien, yet another place that delivers knock off fast fashion full of plastics. i fucking hate you, fast fashion, and i hate you, defenders of fast fashion. i hate you, companies who use slave labor to create clothes and i hate them for oversaturating the market. i hate you, unsustainable use of oil and plastic in all our fucking clothes that is actively destroying the environment.
i love you, pure cotton threads. i love you, sheepskin leather and cow leather. i love you, linen. i love you, wool. i love you, silk. i love you, seamstresses whose skills are devalued in a world that values fast fashion and refuses to pay you what you are worth because of it. i love you, costumers and the reuse of costumes. i love you, thrift stores. i love you, limited closets. i love you, tailors. i love you, reduce use of clothing and reuse of what we already own and recycling of scraps of fabric in rags. i love you, hemp. i love you, sustainable use of resources.

Is Hemp Wood the Future of Building?
Tumblr media
Is Hemp Wood the Future of building?
Hemp has been legalized in the US, although with serious restrictions. This has resulted in increased production of the plant at an exponential rate. Hemp is a highly versatile plant that is being used for the production of sustainable by-products like plastic polymers, fabric, biofuel and now even wood.
Hemp fabrics have been used for clothing for millennia and it is one of the oldest fabrics used by humans. The plant can also be used in the production of a type of building material called hempcrete. Hemp wood is one of the latest products that this plant is being used to produce.
What is Hemp Wood
Simply? An innovative answer to the question of finding the material for building more sustainably. It’s late addition to the list of building materials is because of the decade’s hemp has spent as an illegal drug. This illegality due to its relationship with marijuana got in the way of its potential being identified.
Hemp wood has undergone numerous studies and tests thanks to the effort of Greg Wilson and the Fibonacci Company. This investment into hemp has generated a perfected hardwood derived from our favourite plant and poised to replace plywood.
Hemp is very versatile and can be cultivated in different climates. It is the optimal material for people to use as a substitute to tree-based timber since it is cheap, easy to grow and produces large yields.
What is it made from
Hemp wood was derived from hemp by using the algorithm of an oak tree. The hemp wood team reverse-engineered hemp’s growth cycle to imitate the stability and sturdiness of this popular material. They applied the knowledge from bamboo flooring to invent a wood that is similar – but stronger.
Hemp wood, just like its parent plant, contains a THC content of 0.3 per cent or less. The creation process involves the compression of hemp pulp fibres. This process is known as biomimicry. This is followed up by strengthening using a soy-based glue.
Hemp wood is 20% stronger and 100 times faster growing than oak. Hemp is very similar to strand-woven bamboo aside from it being a lot less coarse. However, bamboo is more likely to chip due to its roughness. It is also not as woody has hemp, giving hemp the advantage.
Current manufacturers of hemp wood
Fibonacci LLC launched its $5.8 million Hemp wood manufacturing facility in Murray, Kentucky. This facility measures about 15,000-square-foot. According to Greg Wilson, their founder and CEO, it is to be their first step in the plan to manufacture up to a million board feet of four-quarter lumber yearly,
Wilson and his team have patented the method with which they employed. Hemp wood can be purchased at www.hempwood.com. Fibonacci LLC has plans to build eight more facilities across the US and predict the next one will be up and running by 2021.
The cost of hemp wood is greater than regular wood right now. However, it soon will reach economies of scale and compete with wood. The company expects that by 2021, their prices will give Oak a run for its money. With the many obstacles and challenges that face the introduction of new material, this is a favourable outlook.
Hemp wood uses
Fibonacci intends to manufacture wood tabletops and flooring for purchase. Currently, they are not making structural or exterior products but they insist that it is strong enough. At the moment, they are focusing on interior face grade. Hemp wood flooring is supposed to be available within the year.  So, what could it be used for as we move into the golden age of hemp?
Framework for houses
When it comes to building sustainable houses, a great concern is the selection of a material which is durable and healthy. It also helps that this material is sustainable, eco-friendly and locally sourced. Hemp wood will be first available in boards and blocks. and in the near future, could be used for constructing frameworks for homes.
Use in woodwork
As mentioned above, interior uses for hemp wood are already in the initial stages. Hemp wood can be used in the creation of sturdy, beautiful furniture, doors, beams etc. It is a non-toxic wood due to its organic roots and soy-derived glue. It is a healthier choice for interior building.
Hemp Wood is an innovative product which can open the path to homes which are safer for us and the environment. It is created through a genius process using the pulp fibres of the plant. Durable, strong and eco-friendly –  doesn’t this sound like an excellent option to you?

Quite like hair ties, hair scrunchies are also hair accessories that you can use to tie up your hair. The main differentiator between a hair tie and hair scrunchies is that - scrunchies are made from smooth materials which helps minimize any kind of damage or breakage to your hair.
