i think that they should stop re releasing the classic sonic games over and over again and start making the modern games that were only ever playable on one or two older consoles more accessible

Liam O' Brien as Infinite | Sunday, 05.28.2023
Anyone that played Sonic Forces should know that Infinite (voiced by Liam O'Brien) manifests the powers from the Phantom Ruby all while antagonizing Sonic & the gang during the War to Take Back The Planet in the game.

Sonic Forces Review
As a Sonic fan who missed most of his 3D games, I grew up with Sonic 1 2 and 3. I played Sonic Generations, but only the midpoint of the game.
I just wanted to beat a 3D Sonic game. After finishing Forces, I feel I haven't really beat a 3D game. Most of the levels had so many 2D sections. The design was very hit or miss. There weren't enough zone types. Beating that game became a chore.
The game left a very bad taste in my mouth for Sonic games. I haven't picked up a Sonic game since. I might try Frontiers when all the DLC is released.
The good in Sonic Forces is the concept. The plot sounds like something I would come up with as a kid. That sounds bad, but I found the created character to be cool. With the world of original characters, being able to make one in the game was a genius move.
This inspired me to make some Sonic Frontier fan fiction. I am not sure when I will post it, but I got a couple of ideas floating in my head.

My first time playing this, I absolutely loved it. Playing it again and I still like it a lot, but can definitely see the flaws.
First off is Classic Sonic. He doesn’t fit the same, he isn’t very important to the story and his levels are just really poor. The physics seem off and the level designs aren’t fun to play. I really think they could have had some fun Tails missions instead, as you can just have Tails do his role in the story.
The other big addition is the avatar, a character you can create and customise. I really like this addition and the use of Wispons allows for a few different gameplay styles which open up different routes and change up the gameplay a bit. It does take most of the game to unlock enough stuff to customise them how you want, though.
The Sonic levels I enjoy a lot and have some great moments of level design, but a lot of levels just feel like they stop half way though. They’re short and don’t seem to have any “climax”, they just unexpectedly end. I also don’t think it needed to use Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant again, as much as I love those levels. We didn’t even get remixes of the songs – although with that said, Sonic Forces does have a great soundtrack, especially with Fist Bump and the tune of it being used elsewhere (without playing the start of the song on every menu).
Overall, I think Sonic Forces is just fine. It has some stunning looking levels, but also some bad aspects. It’s definitely not terrible, it’s just not great, either.

its honestly crazy to me that theres so many sonic games that are inaccessible on current gen consoles or maybe are available on one but arent available on the others and instead of remastering or re releasing any of those sega just keeps re releasing the classic trilogy and sonic cd over and over and over again and they sometimes even do it on platforms where those games are already available. like why cant we get a port of sonic heroes or the storybook games or the advance trilogy or something

The Phantom Ruby Effect.
Headcanon: We know the Phantom Ruby can alter reality to the point it actually affects the Resistance. What if when Rookie first uses their prototype they switch species? Sometimes they even switch gender or fur color.
It would be hilarious if this still happened even after Infinite was defeated, far more randomly.
