Finished Object... Thursday?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My fiancée asked for the tablet woven bracelet I said I'd make, meaning I had to finish the project currently on the loom first. This cord is just a tad too wide for this particular bag, so I may end up making a narrower one later, but for now it holds things shut and will work until I figure out something better. I'm still really proud of this band and I learned a lot while making it.

Because bracelets are so small, the warping and weaving were actually pretty quick for that, so it only took about a day to weave once the loom was free. I'm still working on tension and consistency with projects over about 14 cards (this one was 24) but I still like how this turned out. It's a bit shorter than what I'd intended, so I have plans for changes for the next one, but it does make me want to keep trying bigger weaving projects!

Not a recent finish, but I did finish the second test knit of the dice bag pattern, and will start editing the pattern soon!

I have finished setting up a ko-fi to sell my bracelets. It's not yet public because I am waiting for a few more things but I'd like to explain my "business model" before I go live
The bracelets I will be selling are handwoven by me on a simple loom, using high quality Miyuki delica beads and nylon thread. They're one size only but adjustable with a small chain and lobster clasp

As you can see, I've chosen a design to vaguely resemble a watermelon using beads in vibrant Palestinian colors.
Once live the store will work as follows:
Each bracelet will be priced at 15 Euros
I will be taking 3 Euros each to cover material costs as the beads I use are of fairly high quality and pricier as a result. I preferred the even and smooth look of the finished product so I chose them over the others
Shipping and postage will be calculated depending on destination of course and also taken from the full price. Shipping outside the EU will be more expensive but I plan to ship worldwide regardless.
Everything left after this, which should be around 10 Euros, will be donated to Care for Gaza.
I've also included the option to name your own price to pay more than the 15 base price I've chosen. If you decide to take that option, what I keep to cover costs will remain the same, everything that I don't absolutely need to make more bracelets will go to Gaza. No exceptions.
If you want you can always DM me and ask for proof of donation, I know there's a lot of scams out there right now so I want there to be no reason for you to worry about whether or not your money makes it to Gaza safely
Any who don't want proof of donation will be put into a collection that will be donated at the end of each week
I will also open the donations on my page. If you're not the bracelet type, don't want more than one or just want to pitch in a few extra bucks, anything entering there will be donated completely. I will keep nothing for myself.
Once orders reach a certain point, I'll have to decide on that based on demand and my own health condition, I will temporarily close the store until I have breathing room again before I reopen. I plan to do this for a while after all.
As these bracelets are handmade time between order and delivery may vary but I will inform you when I've sent the item out
I hope this is understandable enough, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time. I'll be posting the link to the store here once I have everything I need ready to go
