#( I do kind of get 'another death won't solve anything' and Abe has always been reckless so this more calculated action )

( ooc ): Tbh I think the decision to not kill S.imcoe made more sense for H.ewlett than it did for A.be. I need to rewatch s4 anyway, so I might change my opinion, but I feel like with H.ewlett's whole wanting to make a new life for himself and reinvent himself, giving him the mercy he didn't give him or his horse, overhearing the conversation he had about sparring the rest of his Rangers, etc, made more sense for H.ewlett's character progression tbh. He was usually more tolerable and forgivable than A.be ever was.
For A.be specifically: S.imcoe almost killed A.be like... twice in the whole show, attempted to kill Richard and then actually had him killed off, specifically targeted A.be more than H.ewlett. A.be had more a reason to kill S.imcoe overall.
