WHAT   BODY   PART   ARE   YOU   ?

Lungs

Breathe in. The ability to breathe is almost completely reflexive, and like most things, it comes to you naturally, with little effort or meaning. Many of the diseases that affect the lungs are hereditary, is there some unknown family trauma there? Something someone wasn’t telling you? If we only inhale, we die. If we only exhale, we die. We need both. You have mastered that tactful dance, at least, until something unexpected comes knocking. Something that steals your breath away, that pries your oh so precious air from your lungs and leaves you cold, winded and alone. A collapsed lung cannot kill you, but it aches more than broken bone, it’s sticky and bloody and cloying. You can recover though. You always have. Breathe out.

the question living rent free in my mind: how many hits did steve not get in during infinity war because he was limited without his usual shield?

#「 ooc 」 so every time that they want to count you out: use your voice every single time you open up your mouth. #「 study 」 for all of us who've seen the light salute the dead and lead the fight. #think about it though #his shield is basically a frisbee #the one he had in wakanda??? nowhere near the same shape/size/weight. #would he have been better off without the shield altogether?? #how handicapped did tony make him by taking away a part of his arsenal? #because be honest-- steve doesn't fight with guns outside of WWII/avengers #so although he's been trained to fight without the shield #and he doesn't RELY on it #how much of a difference did it make on that battlefield when facing big guns #like thanos? #how many lives might he have saved with one throw of the shield??? #because he doesn't just use it for himself #he also throws it to someone that needs it #predominantly natasha. #might it have been used to distract thanos? #we just don't know!!! #and while tony comes back to earth blaming steve because he wasn't there #steve isn't any more to blame for what happened as any other of them. #because they were both fighting for the same cause -- #they just weren't fighting together. #they weren't at their peak. #they weren't prepared.

i feel like someone at S.H.I.E.L.D. recommended tom jones to steve when he mentioned wanting to slowly modernise his music tastes. so yeah, steve likes tom jones... and i hate that one agent.
