“Let’s see. . .another read through of Sherlock Holmes is in order.” Shinichi murmured to himself as he descended the stairs, a yawn parting from his lips as he stretched his arms out, bones popping in the process. It was a lazy, gloomy day, the clouds dark and rain drizzling down from the sky. As he had nothing to do, Shinichi spent most of his day lazing around the house, composing music and playing his violin.

He opened the doors to the library and went right for the shelves he was searching for, scanning them until he spotted something. . .peculiar wedged between an Arsene Lupin book and his father’s Night Baron books. A. . KID’s plush?

“What the., . .” Shinichi frowned as he picked the aforementioned plush up, examining it up and close to his face. He looked completely bemused. “You must have some sort of camera or listening device in you, KID that idiot. . .” Shinichi grumbled. “Well, I’ll just cut you open and check for myself. If I can find a knife.”

“Which store do you want to go into first?” Head turns, patiently gazing at his girlfriend. They were both out, with Ran having suggested they hurry and get their Christmas shopping done before everything ended up being sold out. Of course, Shinichi was reluctant at first, but after seeing those puppy eyes Ran had given him. . .how could he possibly say no? So, he got dressed and bundled up nicely for winter with a large coat, gloves and a scarf wrapped around his neck and they were off.

Shinichi himself wasn’t very picky, he didn’t care which store they visited. He just enjoyed being in Ran’s company.
