Fleetwood Mac is Blue's favourite band.

She has an old yellow 𝕐𝔸𝕄𝔸ℍ𝔸 personal stereo cassette player that Jimi gave to her for her sixth birthday, along with a shoebox full of tapes. There's Ella Fitzgerald and Led Zeppelin and Cat Stevens and The Velvet Underground and Love and Marvin Gaye and Cream and Jimi Hendrix and Van Morrison and Nina Simone and loads more. They are quite possibly her most prized possessions.

Blue will often sit with her back against cool, calming beech bark with the flimsy headphones clinging around her neck (so she can still hear the crickets and the wood pigeons) with the volume turned up 》》 full whack. It's magic.

But the Mac are definitely Blue's no.1 favourite.

Why?

Because 1) hello, Stevie Nicks and 2) their particular brand of magic is the most real: you really can go your own way.

Gansey, of course, thinks this is all very charming. And whenever he dares to say so, Blue will steal his glasses and not give them back until he rolls his eyes and concedes and proceeds to dum, dumdum dum dum dum dumdum dum dummmm... the baseline from the break in The Chain.

Yeah, Fleetwood Mac...
