{ @thcpresidcnt || To Evil Morty and Evil Rick from E-Rick }
The gifts in question were sent via some random guard Rick. Rick had other engagements to do, under orders of his president, so he couldn't present them in person. Though, he assumed that the thought would count more.
Two gifts were sat there. One a smaller, yet thick box wrapped in Christmas tree wrapping paper and a dark blue bow. The other in a golden snowflake decorated paper, glitter glistening under the lights -- the box a little bigger than the first present.
The dark blue bow present was for Evil Rick, within it a paperback book. A limited edition copy of something in the horror genre. Along with it a note that read ‘Don’t get too many ideas -- Rick’
And the second present was for Evil Morty. When opened, showed a snow globe. Fake pieces of snow fell over the replicated model of the entire Citadel. It looked detailed and as if someone handcrafted it themselves. The note with it read ‘Now you can rule over two Citadels! -- Rick’

Neither Morty nor Rick reacted when the Guard Rick stepped through the portal, depositing the two packages on the president’s desk, with a brief explanation of what they were and whom they were from.
However, the moment the portal had closed and they had found themselves alone, amber eyes and moved in perfect sync with gray blue ones and they had met in the middle. The second-in-command had lifted and eyebrow and the teen had answered with a little shrug. No words had been spoken, but they had always had little use for them, nowadays even more.
The next moment, Rick had moved to check that the packages were truly as harmless as they were supposed to be. Foul play from their alternates was unlikely, but no possibility could be carelessly discarded. Once certain that it wasn’t the case, the man handed the smaller package to his master and moved to open the gift addressed to him.
Silence stretched for a few moments as they contemplated their presents and attached notes, until Morty broke it, his tone half way between pensive and amused.

“He couldn’t be more different from you.”
Rick turned the book in his hands, brows lightly knitted together. “I-Is that a good or a bad thing?” He asked, tone flat and even as always.
“Undecided. But I doubt that he and I would work as well as you and I do...in spite of everything.”
After a meaningful in his second-in-command’s direction, the president shook the snowglobe, watching the artificial flakes falling over the miniature Citadel. “An odd choice of words, that note. I wonder if he knows what my other self is planning to do with this place. He might not. He is the type to be that blind and naive, after all.”
“I-It wouldn’t surprise me, if your counterpart had chosen to leave him in the dark. I’m not sure he could be trusted with that sort of knowledge. He might not accept his possible fate as easily as I did. He is weak-minded.”
Morty snorted quietly, setting the snowglobe down. “You’re not fooling anyone, Rick. I know what’s the only kind of ending you’ll accept. I’ll have to kill you myself to be able to leave alone.”
A new beat of silence followed, and then a creepy smirk stretched on the second in command face, as he leant down, bringing himself at eye-level with his master.

“You’re wrong, Morty.” His voice thickened into a growl as he spoke the teen’s name. “I am fooling everyone. Everyone but you.”
With that he straightened, his previously blank facade fully restored, and he went back examining the book as if nothing had happened. “I-I’m confused about what ideas he thinks I’d get from this book. W-Whatever is in here, I’m positive I’ve done worse. Idiot.”
Morty poked at the globe, apparently undisturbed by the sudden, brief twist that their exchange had taken. “That’s your answer, Rick. He is an idiot. And he doesn’t know your...tastes well. If at all.” A pause. “Want to blow up this little Citadel with me as I’ll do with the real one?”
No verbal answer was given, just a dark, ferocious glint in gray blue eyes. Once again words weren’t needed, not when the reply was so loud and clear.
With you? Always.
