Humans mostly don't notice glue residue on the skin until it starts to harden, but it would probably be dangerous for aliens to interact with glue in a liquid state. A ban on the use of cyanoacrylate in non-human spaces?

But if there is no patch at hand, you can safely apply glue to the wound and continue working.

Here are some WIP images (minus) the blood sweat and tears shed in the process 🤣

I decided to make the 3D piece based off the tables and chairs.

The table was crafted with wire , the base is polystyrene which I got to cut with the wire cutter (so f satisfying 🤤) , I crafted the base with clay and I stuck some fake moss to it . I recycled and old fake plant by ripping the small stones off it and adding them to my piece. How is all held together ??? SUPERGLUE !!!!

As a group our concept is the presence and absence of people I decided to make some prints of the area next to the tables and chairs which is the Locke bar typically a very busy area full of people . In contrast the table and chairs is the opposite very quiet and secluded my goal with it is to show the remanence of people while also keeping it in the theme of absence of people

My plan is to also transform the prints into their own individual masterpieces

Okay so a funny question. Without going into details, Poker Face (the Rian Johnson series) has a character puts super glue into another character's big deep injury, tells her it's the same stuff hospitals use but big pharma doesn't want you to know, of course. Then the super glue is used on another character's wound by the receiver.

It's obviously hilarious but what exactly would happen if you put super glue in an injury? I'm sure some kids d out there has tried it. Most of the injuries and whump in the show is bullshit btw but it's fun.

You'll get conflicting opinions on whether you can actually use regular super glue to glue a cut. As a wilderness med guy, I'd say you can if you don't have other options, but you do have to do it in a certain way, and there are drawbacks to using a regular super glue vs one that is actually made for gluing skin together.

Regular super glue and medical super glue are very similar chemicals. They are both types of cyanoacrylate. The three main differences are that medical grade super glue cures more slowly, is less brittle once dry, and does not contain additives that may be toxic.

The faster a super glue cures, the hotter it gets while curing. Some regular super glues cure so quickly that they can cause minor burns, while medical grade super glues all cure slowly enough that they aren't dangerous in that way. Since skin moves a lot, having less brittle glue is also a benefit, and medical super glue is less likely to break and irritate the skin around the wound. While cyanoacrylate isn't particularly toxic in itself (at least in the amounts and way one would use it to close a cut), additives used to make the glue dry faster or hold stronger or color the glue might be.

You would not be the first person to be willing to take these risks, but they are something to consider.

To use any type of super glue to close a cut, you essentially put dots of glue along the length of the wound and hold the edges together until the glue dries. There should be space between the dots where there is no glue, since sealing a dirty wound (any wound that wasn't made under surgical conditions is considered "dirty" even after it's been cleaned) means drainage that can help carry infection out of the wound has no where to escape.

You would never put even a medical-grade super glue into a wound, since the walls of the wound need to touch each other to heal. If a wound is too deep (about a 1/2 inch +) to close just the skin without the risk of a pocket developing below the surface, you really should pack the wound instead.

Put the Lair of Voltaire make up to some good use for this years Halloween party for a little eighties throwback. Except there was no hairspray involved. Just super glue. That's hair gel from Schwarzkopf, the same that make the hair dye I used. Love the results of both. Recommend.
