a) charles and edwin’s safe place is their office:
b) this scene was so domestic. charles is wearing his white tank top. edwin is wearing a shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the buttons on his top collar unbuttoned. he’s sitting on the couch in a comfortable pose.
c) but we don’t see anything like this when the boys are in port townsend. they "hide" behind their clothes almost all the time cause this is a new “place” for them which is not safe to be in

I’m sorry but the way Charles clenches his hands in the back of Edwin’s clothes when they hug is so telling of his feelings. He doesn’t understand them, all he knows is that he can’t let Edwin go. Hence going all the way to hell to rescue him.
Also, he doesn’t do the same when hugging Crystal.
Also also, after their first hug, Edwin has a moment of realization and puts his hand over his heart. Charles does the same thing after their second hug.
In conclusion, Charles and Edwin are endgame.

In his disguise in episode 1, Edwin is shown to be knitting. And you know he would have learnt just in case for his disguises so you know that sometimes Charles shows up wearing a scarf Edwin knitted for him and if anyone even thinks something bad about the scarf it is cricket bats at dawn.

I always wondered why Edwin was a much faster runner than Charles in the earlier episodes. Now seeing episode 7 it's because he spent 70 years doing nothing but dead sprinting barefoot through dirty cluttered hallways. Man is an Olympic runner at this point. Must have been so easy the first time he got to earth running in shoes on normal ground. It's like the teathered daughter from 'Us' running through the tunnels.
