Does unconditional love mean never leaving?
No. Even if someone loves without conditions, they can still establish certain requirements for a relationship. If these requirements are not met a person should leave out of self-respect.
For those unaccustomed to self-respect, leaving may seem like abandonment. However, it's important to realize that the person isn't abandoning you; they're simply refusing to abandon their values.
Recognizing this can help us release feelings of rejection and see their behavior as a positive model of self-care, helping us to prioritize our own needs in future relationships.

Day 3 of recovery
My love for you is turning into something pure. Its no longer heavy, its no longer mixed with negative emotions.
I can't explain how I feel, all I know is I appreciate what we had without regretting how it ended. I feel like everyone who comes next (rather friend of romatic) I will love more deeply, more gently.
I feel heartbreak releasing me from the cage I was living in. I feel the love that I had for you transforming into hope. For the first time in 10 years, I feel free.
