taylor liked a fan’s tumblr post about pride month that used ‘welcome to new york’ lyrics:
"[and you can want who you want, boys and boys and girls and girls ft. ME! rainbow gif] Happy Pride Month"

happy pride to bi people, especially but not exclusively to
bi men with a preference for women
bi women with a preference for men
bi men in relationships with women
bi women in relationships with men
t4t bisexuals in opposite gender relationships
bisexuals that have never been in a same gender relationship
bisexuals that are temporarily or permanently abstaining from dating the same gender for any reason
pride can feel really alienating to us, especially online and especially especially on tumblr. you're loved and none of your preferences, past or current partners, or dating habits detract from your bisexuality in any way. you belong at pride.

happy pride month to this is the worthwhile fight i fell in love with a careless man's careful daughter she is the best thing that's ever been mine this love is brave and wild i didn't kiss her and i should have it's just wrong enough to make it feel right something gave you the nerve to touch my hand i know that it's delicate for you i would fall from grace put your lips close to mine as long as they don't touch one day we will be remembered the stakes are high the water's rough but this love is ours i don't want you like a best friend we'd still worship this love even if it's a false god i loved you in spite of deep fears that the world would divide us marry me juliet you never have to be alone this love is difficult but it's real us traitors never win i know this is a fight that someday we're gonna win like a rainbow with all of the colours i promise that you'll never find somebody like me you should think about the consequence of you touching my hand in a darkened room our secret moments in a crowded room would you kiss me on the porch in front of all your stupid friends you can want who you want boys and boys and girls and girls i know places we can hide what must it be like to grow up that beautiful oh goddamn my pain fits in the palm of your freezing hand they don't know how much i miss her i'm so furious at you for making me feel this way i remember you were driving to my house in the middle of the night i'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're about to cry and i know your favorite songs and you tell me about your dreams think i know where you belong think i know it's with me you're a cowboy like me too in love to think straight the rumors are terrible and cruel but honey most of them are true you were never a saint and i loved in shades of wrong this love is good this love is bad this love is alive back from the dead and to been sleeping so long in a twenty year dark night but now i see daylight

happy pride to everyone in the community!! happy pride to those who are out, those who are not, those who aren’t sure of their identity yet, those who don’t use labels, those who don’t feel seen, etc, etc. stay safe and don’t be ashamed to be yourself.

I'm gonna say it here too. Allow me to be crystal fucking clear.
It is not cowardly to stay in the closet. Full stop. You do not owe anyone any part of yourself you aren't ready to share
If you unable to come out because you fear for your safety or well-being or because you know it will cause you substantial discomfort, that is not a defect in you. It's a failure of the society in which you live and the community surrounding you.
If you just don't want to share that part of yourself, that is valid and I support you

thinking about how in treacherous and cruel summer the bridges are in their normal place in the song but then recapitulated at the end. and how that means that the ideas in them are that much more important. and how in treacherous she feels a mysterious pull towards another but she knows it’s unwise to get sucked in. and how in cruel summer she names that pull as blinding, passionate love. and how in treacherous she thinks that if she’s strong enough, she can just resist the attraction. and how in cruel summer she knows that nothing can pry her and her lover apart. and how in treacherous love is unsafe but something she ultimately has control over. and how in cruel summer she knows that love is cruel precisely because you can’t control fate. and how in treacherous she likes it. and how in cruel summer, ain’t it the worst thing you’ve ever heard. and how because the bridges are repeated, their ideas are that much more important.
she sure does love a good bridge doesn’t she

northbound I got carried away as you boarded your train // you booked the night train for a reason so you could sit there in this hurt // I stood right by the tracks, your face in a locket // bustling crowds or silent sleepers you're not sure which is worse // I thought I saw you at the bus stop, I didn't though // I triеd searching faces on streets, what are the chances you'd be downtown // easy they come, easy they go, I jump from the train, I ride off alone // I never was ready so I watch you go // I'm afflicted by the not knowing // and time is taking its sweet time erasing you // and it would've been sweet if it could've been me // steppin’ on the last train, marked me like a bloodstain

gayest theme in taylor's discography is actually how do you mourn the loss of something once it ends, if you're being made to believe that it never happened at all?
