I'm planning to expand on a short one shot to a multichap, and including that work as a scene. Is this allowed?
It depends whether you've posted the original oneshot publicly. The reason why we require all Big Bang fics to be new, standalone works is because our bidding process is anonymous, and at the end of the event, all Big Bang fics are posted anonymously for about two weeks. The temporary anonymity helps put all our writers on a more equal footing - it's hard for an established writer's fic to get a disproportionate amount of attention or for newer writers to be unfairly passed over when no one is sure who wrote what. This way, the stories can speak for themselves without the writer's reputation getting in the way.
Unfortunately, that means that if someone who has read your fics previously can look at your Big Bang fic and recognize it as a sequel/expansion of something you wrote in the past (especially if the text of the older work is included in the expanded version), it's not eligible for the Big Bang. If you're really set on using this fic idea and you're willing to change things up so it's less recognizable as an expansion of your existing work, we can consider it. Otherwise, it's probably better to branch out and try something new for this event.

Can we write something based on a fanart drawn by someone else? And are there specific themes?
Hi, anon! The short answer is yes - as long as your Big Bang fic is centered on the relationship between Zuko and Katara and your final fic falls into a G or T rating on AO3, you can use anything you like as inspiration.
As far as themes go, we don't really have any requirements beyond the relationship (Zutara) and the ratings. Writers are expected to bring their own ideas into the event, so we don't have a list of prompts or themes that need to be filled. Any themes that you'd like to include in your writing should be fine unless the fic breaks the relationship or rating requirements. If you have a specific fic idea that you think might be tapdancing on the line for either of those rules, you can either reach out to one of the mods for clarification, or join the event server after invitations go out in April, submit your fic idea, and the mods will read it over and let you know if we have any concerns about how your fic will stay within the event requirements.

Do you have a Masterlist of past entries from 2022?
We never exactly put together a masterlist, but the AO3 collection is linked in our blog header, and all the fic and art posts are still here on the blog if you scroll back or go through the archive feature on web. Enough information (usernames, etc) has changed since the 2022 Big Bang that it's probably more trouble than it's worth for us to go back and make an actual masterpost at this point, but we can definitely try to put one together for this year's event!

Hey, first, thanks for organizing all of this, I know it must be a lot of work, so thank you for your efforts.
Second, I signed up a couple days ago and haven't received any emails or anything, just wanted to know if that is ok or something wasn't right with my signing up.
Thanks for signing up! Everything should be good to go with your signup for now - we're just not sending out the event server invites until after the form closes on April 6th (which means emails should be going out on April 7th) because it'll be easier for the mods to deal with everything in a big batch rather than constantly monitoring the responses for three weeks. In the meantime, you can always read through the informational posts linked in our blog header and let us know if you have any other questions after going through that information!
