When people say conservative women are pick-me's, this is what they mean. These women have fought so hard for male validation by separating themselves and other women into two categories: the good women and the bad women. The good women are the ones who do everything by a man's book and the bad women are the ones who don't aka feminists.

By catering to male validation, they believe that this will earn them male respect. "I'm a good woman, I'm not like those other women, the bad ones. I've made it, I'm respected."

And then they come to realize that their men don't actually give a fuck. Despite alllll the validation they're getting from conservative women, all of that emotional labor, it's not good enough because the good women don't need to be convinced, the bad women do.

And this includes school bus drivers. Those people wake up at the asscrack of dawn every day to haul your hellions to school so that you don't have to - they're giving you extra hours of sleep.

If you take the bus, wave to the driver and thank them as you're getting off the bus.

Being a bus driver is an underappreciated and difficult job but still very vital to society. They still have to do customer service and deal with rude and even aggressive passengers, and on top of that have to deal with traffic and other drivers all day (and let's face it, there's a lot of bad drivers out there who aren't considerate about sharing the road). All while providing an invaluable service of getting us where we need to go. Showing them some appreciation can go a long ways for someone doing such an important job that usually gets little to no recognition or thanks.
