But I had a question about your non-profit AU! How does the divorce between Salem x Ozpin play out? 👀

Its no invasion! You are completely welcomed to enter any ask and most certianly enter if I get talk about my silly ideas lol.

I have read a many a fic where Salem is abusive to Ozpin and he escapes the relationship but in this au they decided to get divorce right before that point. Because this fic got theme going of 'the love was there but it didn't change anything/doesnt save anyone' because how with Arkos and Seamonkeys in fic that leads in Jaune/Neptune. But not going down that rabbit hole now.

Just when Salem and Ozpin meet in this AU they are optimistic for the future, at what they can build together. But once Salem takes over her father's company completely (after his very normal death, at a very normal dinner party) they are married and they start their business together that goes so well until business isnt doing well, then marriage isnt doing well and after some capitalistic tatics the business is doing well, but marrige doesnt recover. There no work-life balance, and they have grown apart, becoming strangers to eachother.

In saving the company Salem lost herself. But Ozpin can't blame because he has changed too. He not the humble business man he was at the start. He is not sure he likes who is now. Salem understands that but she has power to do the change they once dreamed and she is going stay who she become. There is that chance they can learn each other now, but there is the greater chance they lose eachother completely and ruin what good things they still have and good they had in past. So yeah they divorce. It heartbreaking but its going save more hurt and heartbreak than being together.

PS.

I had considered the reason that Salem is so desperate to save business is because Ozpin gets sick and medical bills are a nightmare but I'm still thinking on Salem's story. Just different verisons of The Girl in The Tower we get makes want to give Salem a more complex motive.

Tip: Tip can't help but giggle slightly at the mental image of being only a few inches tall. It makes him seem even younger and more vulnerable, though he sobers quickly at the mention of Raven.

He shares a quick glance with DA!Qrow, who sighs and clears his throat.

DA!Qrow: "Uh, how is Raven, here I mean? She kinda... went a bit, well, Raven, in our world."

Tip: "She might come around, evetually... if she ever stops hating me."

DA!Qrow sighs, but doesn't argue that their Raven really seems to dislike Tip.

Mr. Oz: Yes, well, our Raven is doing much better now, but...

Qrow: Well, let's just say she wasn't always around. She kinda hated Oz at first, too, when she came back. But she came around. Eventually.

Mr. Oz: Of course, that was over three years ago. It's been quite a while since we made amends. She was in our wedding party, after all.

Qrow: [chuckles] Yeah, yeah, she was.

Story Summary: Ozpin works tirelessly in his pursuit: to make Beacon of Hope a safe place for kids to grow up. With a bigger location and more kids to take care of, Ozpin starts to feel the weight of responsibility crushing him, and he plans to carry the whole thing himself.

For Qrow, volunteering for Beacon of Hope had only one purpose: to get Summer off his back for a little while. When he meets the polite, friendly, and handsome man in charge, he wonders if he could actually get something out of this whole ordeal after all.

With Qrow’s support, maybe Oz will be able to reach his goal of turning this house into a home.

DA!Qrow: "Small versions as in smaller than Pocketsized, I'm guessing? Can't see that cat being scary otherwise..."

Tip: "The cat's cute. I wish I could have a pet, but it's rather too dangerous right now. Do you have any others?" He perks up, watching the cat curiously.

Oscar: Yeah, they were smaller than Tip. Like... This big [he puts his hand just four inches above the end table next to him to demonstrate]

Qrow: And uh... if you mean "do we have other cats," then no, but we do have other pets. Well, I do. My dog's a husky, but he lives with my sister now. I wasn't able to keep him when I moved in here. But he's still mine.

I know Whitley most likely doesn’t have the schnee glyph semblance but if he had them it would be so cool if they had a different shape, like these very dense hexagonal ones that are almost like discs in contrast to weiss’ and winters lacey-looking ones.

this isn’t anything meta or whatever, it’s 100% due to translations, but it’s Fun for me that in the German subtitle track, the Tree is obviously Baum (because it means ‘tree’) - L Frank Baum wrote the Land of Oz books

to get out of Wonderland, the Ever After, back to the Land of Oz, Remnant, you have to go through Baum

OMGGGGG THIS SOUNDS SO INTERESTING. I love that you came up with non-profit ideas that fit everyone's characters so well and I love cute Ozqrow, I'm obsessed!!!!!!

I'll share a bit about my AU, too 🙈

I refer to it as my Halfway House AU. The idea is that Beacon is a non-profit meant to house kids with no home, run by Ozpin.

His core staff members are Pyrrha and Jaune (who end up together), but the staff grows as time goes on.

Qrow is a dedicated volunteer who spends a lot of his time there because he loves kids and really likes what Beacon does (and also he wants to flirt with the handsome man in charge when he can).

Beacon takes care of a bunch of canon characters, including Oscar, Blake, Mercury, Cinder, Weiss, Whitley, Ren, and Nora. Most of the kids are aged down a bit. They are all residence at the same time and become very close friends :)

I actually just finished writing Ch. 20 this morning, but I posted Ch. 10 of my long fic for this AU yesterday 🙈 it's called Home is Where Your Light Shines Brightest (which is Beacon's vision statement in the AU XD)
