The cats of SunClan and MoonClan have heard this repeated for generations. A little rhyme sung to kits in the nursery for so long that not a single cat can remember who wrote it. It doesn't matter anyways. It's utter nonsense. Everyone knows that The Old Wood is filled with flowers known for how they never wilt even in the coldest winters, and the gravekeepers of SunClan know for certain every soul turns up eventually. There has never been any reason to panic over the morbid verse.

Until now.

When events from stories and tales told long ago and prophecies long thought to be false begin happening on the island where the clans reside, words once passed off as elegant nothings become everything, and the careful peace fostered for decades threatens to become undone. Will the clans fall in the face of a yet-to-be-seen evil, or will they prevail?

This once was a lush green land filled with diversity and life. A great river flowed through the land, animals lived in the forests and fields, and a human village had begun to grow into a bustling town. Six clowders of cats lived here, with a code of honour and traditions that kept them united. A great evil that had threatened the clowder’s way of life had been defeated, and life would continue. Or so they thought. One final trick, those who remain will tell you. A final curse that now dictates every aspect of a cat’s life.

The six great clowders of the past are long gone. The land they once thrived in has been choked of its life, transformed into a barren wasteland. Resources are scarce, conflicts are common, and the curse that killed the land remains strong.

Yet even still, life finds away. Animals and plants can be found in the wastes if one knows where to look, and two factions have risen from the ashes of the clowder’s demise.

The closed-off and protective Kingdom, and the divided yet ever so connected Outlanders.

Will you make a change, or is your life destined to blow away with the dust?

Cats of the Waste is a semi-lit, warriors inspired rp with completely new lore. Explore the wasteland, play as cats who have evolved for the harsh life in the wastes, and battle for survival in this brand new setting.

Something is coming, that much is sure. After the clans received two prophecies that most certainly hint at something concerning, every choice matters more than ever.

These prophecies combined with several cats being visted by Colony cats with butterflies covering their eyes, a Termiteclan apprentice being chosen as Fallen Stars champion, and a series of murderers coming into the spotlight after a cat was killed during a gathering have brought chaos to the once peaceful cans.

With Beeclan growing hostile, Termiteclan withdrawing after just recently trying to reach out, and Antclan dealing with the spirit of a murderer haunting a cave on their territory, will the clans be able to survive this coming disaster, or will the swarm consume them all?
