Y'all... I cannot stress enough how you need to interact with things in order to maintain a fandom community.

I have seen absolutely abysmal interaction with everything I've posted lately, and it is IMMENSELY disheartening. Of course, I create it for me, but I choose to share it with everyone and want to get excited about it WITH YOU. And it seems that every other artist/writer/creator I know is experiencing the same thing.

If you're one of the people that regularly interact or just have hit a bit of a speedbump lately, then please know I'm not talking to you. I'm also not talking to other creators that have to choose between engaging or creating (and sometimes just don't have the bandwidth). I'm talking to the blogs that ask for more and then never comment or share. I'm talking to the people that sign up for tag lists and then are never heard from again. I'm talking to blogs that spam like but haven't reblogged anything since 2022. Y'all, this site thrives off of interaction. That is how it works. You have to help things circulate, and it is so frustrating to see the entire place in a collective slump. I have been blocking blogs left, right, and center that do not share things, and I will continue to do so. But it is such a freakin' bummer to see the state of things at the moment.

Hell, I started a sideblog for Fandom Friday (@fandom-friday), and have only received a handful of submissions after getting asked numerous times when it would be coming back. IT'S BACK. IT'S HERE. WHERE IS EVERYONE????? I figured after a few months' break, that people would have plenty of submissions stacked up, but that has not been the case AT ALL.

Fandom communities are such incredible places, but it's felt like a ghost town around here lately with the writers and artists just screaming into the void to PLEASE INTERACT WITH OUR STUFF. Please show up for one another because it is so very soul-crushing to watch everyone I know just feel completely disheartened. I cannot tell you how depressing it is to spend hours and hours carefully crafting something, being genuinely excited about it, and get almost no interaction or response other than a few likes and comments.

Hi Ghesties! This is a friendly reminder for all you new folks that Tumblr is a website meant for reblogging. Having an empty profile and collecting likes does nothing for fic authors, digital/traditional artists, gifmakers etc.

Additionally, your blog is supposed to have content on it! "Cringe culture" does not exist on this hellsite (trust me, I know).

So please give some love to fandom creators. This also helps them with commissions and funding for certain projects, livelihoods, or extra income needed.

So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

a/n: This was inspired by Kitty Ghost on tik tok. Just the idea of cat-ghost is really cute to me. This is probably super ooc, but I don't care. It's cute.

“Simon…” you whine, not really trying to push Ghost away from nuzzling into you, but not encouraging it either. His fluffy blonde ears are ticking the underside of your chin as he rubs his scratchy balaclava into your neck. “We’re working…”

It was true. Ghost had pulled you into his office when you walked by it, interrupting your walk to train new recruits because he wanted attention. He pulls back slightly and looks at you, eyes narrowing, before biting your neck sharply, not breaking eye contact. You hiss and bring your hand up, fisting it in the back of his balaclava.

“Oh, kitten,” you say, smoothing your hand down the back of his head before playing with his ears. His eyes close and he begins to purr again. “So feisty.”

“I’ve been gone for three weeks,” Ghost rumbles, leaning into your hand. “I missed you…”

You smile and lean in, kissing him over his balaclava. “Is that why you’re wearing the mask I made for you? Your ears have been flattened for three weeks?” Ghost nods and you pout. “Oh kitten…” You dip your fingers into the holes for his ears, scratching behind his ears in his hair.

Ghost nods, his purring getting louder. You lift his mask and press a kiss to his lips, and you smile as you feel his purring vibrate your lips. You feel something soft brush against your hand and when you look down, you see a matching sandy blonde tail poking at you. You chuckle and twine your fingers with it, letting it slip through, silky smooth.

“I missed you,” you say quietly, just watching as his tail slips through your fingers over and over.

His hand grabs your chin, and he turns your head, so you’re looking at him. “I missed you too.”

You smile, your eyes watering slightly, and you cover it by knocking your forehead against his, closing your eyes as Ghost lets out a surprised little sound. Ghost’s hand slides against your cheek, and back to the back of your head, cupping it as he presses harder into your forehead.

“I need to get back to work…” you whisper regretfully.

Ghost whines quietly before sighing, and pulling away. He places a masked kiss to your forehead, where you’re sure a red mark is blossoming. He drags his fingers across your cheekbone as he pulls away, and you open your eyes, looking into his dark brown ones. You understand why no one has noticed Ghost is a hybrid, his brown eyes are so dark they’re almost the same colour as his long pupil. Now, though, his pupils are so wide his eyes truly are black.

“I’ll be at your door as soon as you’re done,” he says, and you smile, before turning away, leaving Ghost alone in his office. It’s okay though. You have all night with him.

a/n: i am so sorry this isn't be best. i don't know if this is what you wanted, but this is what you're gonna get. also, i don't know scottish or italian accents well enough to really write out their dialects in dialogue, so I apologize for my half assed attempt. also i used google translate so that's why the italian and gealic are bad. i hope you still like it though. my requests are open and you can find my request rules here.

“You are too fucking reckless!” you scream at Soap as the two of you storm out of the Helo. “You have a real fucking problem with authority!”

“I doon have a problem with authority when they doon treat me like a fuckin’ child!” Soap yells back. You try to speed up to lock him out of the showers, but he keeps up on your heels, always so much faster than you. “Tha thu cho feargach, tha mi dìreach airson do dhùnadh suas!”

“Sì? Vuoi farmi tacere? Come? Utilizzerai la tua stessa bocca per farlo?” you mutter back, and you swear you hear Soap’s steps stutter, before he’s back to his overly confident self.

“Is dòcha nach cleachd mi mo bheul, ach rudeigin eile,” Soap says, and now it’s your turn to stumble.

Luckily, you’re at the door to the showers, and so you stumble through the door. Luckily, you and Soap got back late enough, there’s no one else in the showers as you move to your lockers. You both undress in silence, stuffing your dirty fatigues into your locker and grabbing clean ones.

“La tua bocca è troppo bella per dire cose così sporche,” you whisper close to Soap’s ear, before walking towards the showers.

You get yours turned on when you’re slammed into the wall, a familiar body pressed against yours, already aroused. He spins you around, and Soap kisses you, hard, bruising, all teeth.

“I’ve wanted to do this all fuckin’ mission,” Soap growls into your mouth.

You slap his ass loudly, the sound not hidden by the spray of the ice-cold water on the dirty tile, though your words are. “Guess you’re not as impulsive as I thought you were.” Soap kisses you again, just as hard, and you say in between breaths, “Se non mi scopi adesso, giuro su Dio, non ricambierò mai più il favore.”

Soap chuckles and spins you around, pinning you to the wall again, and he whispers in your ear, “Ge bith dè a chanas tu, a ghràidh.”
