i took a shot at writing for another fandom recently and it’s just so criminally unsatisfying, although it’s much bigger and the note count is a lot higher. the x-files fandom here on tumblr didn’t always give the highest note count, but the feedback was next level and it seems super rare compared to what i’ve noticed from a larger fandom
