Characters: Madaline North (OC), Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou, Koushi Sugawara, Daichi Sawamura, Keishin Ukai, Makoto Shimada, Yusuke Takinoue, Asahi Azumane, Yuu Nishinoya, Chikara Ennoshita, Ryuunosuke Tanaka, Kinnoshita (mentioned), Narita (mentioned)
Chapter Title*: if someone wakes me up one more time, they’ll be found in the dumpster
Warnings: Violence (non-graphic)*, Name-calling, A little bit of angst but not much. If you spot anything else, please tell me!
[NOTE: Normal is Japanese and Bold is Spanish]
Quiet beeping jumped her out of her thoughts, making Madaline turn on her side to look at the phone-esque gadget. Sighing at the screen, she grabbed her hoodie and brown combat boots and left, keys and the gadget in her hand.
[CELESTIAL DETECTED: PORCUPINE: MUSTAFU]
One day, that’s all I want. An aurora* fox trotted along next to her silently, looking around at his fellow spirits as they followed her as well. The dot on the gadget (called the Celestial Detection Phone, or CDP for short) was in an alleyway, thankfully. Turning into the said alley, the blonde immediately hid behind a dumpster, seeing a group of thugs trying to tug the poor spirit out from its hiding place.
“C’mon, you little shit, we just want to know what you look like.” A scowl grew on her face at their words. There were three, I believe. Taking out her collapsible staff, Madaline spun around the corner of the dumpster she was hiding behind and threw it like a javelin. It hit the side of one guy’s head, and by the time the trio looked over, there was a stumbling blonde in front of them, swinging yet another staff into their stomachs. They ran away like little bitches.
“I hope they don’t report you.” The kind girl held out her hand, waiting for the animal to come out. “It’s okay, I won’t hurt you.” The porcupine, who looked way too small for an adult, crawled out shivering. “Oh no, you must’ve died young.” Madaline frowned, then smiled weakly. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.” The baby porcupine, currently completely white, climbed up on her hand, nuzzling her fingers. Madaline closed her green eyes, taming the baby, making it turn an aurora color.
It cooed ‘smiling’ up at its new owner. She smiled back, putting him on her shoulder. Walking down the alleyway to leave, she checked the time. 5:53 am already? Pouting, she felt the porcupine climb up to her head. Putting her headphones in so as to not look like a lunatic, she continued her way down to her home to get ready for school. “What should I call you?” The animal on her head cooed again. “I’ll call you Tiny, then.” Her other Celestials joined the duo, excited to have a baby among the group. Hera, a black panther spirit, beckoned Tiny to go onto her back, to which he complied, snuggling into her coat. The fox from before climbed up onto his owner’s shoulders.
“What do I need to do today, again?” Rolling her right sleeve up, she read the writing.
School
Work
Don’t forget to update the Celestial files
Nodding to herself, Madaline walked into her home, dropped Felix off and got ready for school. I also have the reminders on my phone.
Tumblr media
I have a few assignments due today, I also need to talk to Midoriya about his workout routine. The green haired boy’s visage appeared in her mind as she brushed her teeth. He obviously became stronger, it’s a wonder how nobody else saw it. After putting on her black Converse and grabbing her satchel, she paused at the doorway, groaning as she doubled back to grab her lunch. I hope I’m not forgetting something.
Once again, the class was too rowdy and loud, making Madaline turn up her music and continue to read her book, masking her presence even more. This is how it usually went, she would ignore most of her classmates, and they would ignore her. By the time they left, her ears were still ringing from their chatter. Getting up, she knocked on Midoriya’s desk, smiling at him when he looked up skittishly.
“Hey, Midoriya-kun.”
“N-North-san!” The fellow freckled boy screamed, making her flinch at his volume. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine, I was just wondering what’s your workout routine?” The blonde tilted her head.
“Oh, I just found it online, I thought it would be useful for Yuuei.” Izuku stuttered out.
“Ah, alright, thanks!” She cheered, jogging out.
“Hey, spirit bitch, what did Deku tell you?” A familiar bomb quirked boy growled behind her.
“Why should I tell you of all people?” Madaline hissed back, turning around to look at Bakugou, eyes narrowed.
“Because I can make your fucking life a living hell.” The ash blonde suggested.
“What a coincidence, so can I.” The sarcasm seemed to throw him off. The duo stared at each other, in a temporary standoff.
“I heard you’re going to do homeschooling after this year.” Bakugou finally spoke.
“Wow, you spoke a sentence without cussing!” She tried to avoid the topic by using sarcasm.
“I’m taking that as a fucking yes.” He grumbled, brushing past the short girl. “Just stay out of my way, spirit bitch.”
Madaline just watched as he left before leaving herself. Geez, he acts as if the world is out to get him, the pompous fucker. She huffed, her hands tightening around the satchel straps, letting a cat spirit rub against her, taking away most of her frustration.
As she walked towards The Elemental Crows’ Hero Agency, she kept a hand on her CDP, waiting for a notification to interrupt her calm walk. Nothing, thankfully. Getting her ID out, she scanned it as she walked in, immediately being greeted by a few sidekicks and interns, sending her own greeting back, she called through the agency. “I’m here!” More sidekicks and interns smiled at the teen’s antics.
Calmly walking up the wide stairs to the elevator, she called to a friend of hers, who was an intern. “Hey, Suga, are any of the Crows here?”
“I think Mizu, Fire, and Chikyu are here. I can text them if you want.” The kind senpai answered.
“Nah, I want my entrance to be a surprise.” The duo laughed then said goodbye to each other. Daichi walked out the elevator as she went in, they shared a high-five. After she walked back out, now on the top floor where the heroes that own the building and their interns offices are, Madaline trotted right upto the door with a flame that had crow wings sprouting from it, hearing the three heroes Suga talked about. Knocking, the blonde waited.
“Yes?” A gruff man with piercings answered the door, only to get a tick mark when he saw who it was. “And where the hell have you been?!”
Ukai roughly placed his hand on her head, rubbing. “Hey, watch the hair! I was at school y’know!”
“Keishin, stop teasing the poor girl.” Takinoue finally stepped in, smiling as he hugged her.
“Yeah, Keishin, she’s a third year now, remember?” Shimada threw his two cents in.
“Hmph, I guess I’ll let it slide.” The trio of heroes looked at the newcomer, a small, aurora porcupine. “A new Celestial, huh?”
“It’s cute!” Shimada cheered petting the happy animal.
“Yep, meet Tiny.” The men deadpanned, making Madaline pout.
“Has it’s quirk appeared yet?” Takinoue held his hand out for Tiny to climb on.
“No, but it’ll take a while to show, I believe he died when he was three or early four.” The freckled girl smiled mimicking the baby’s coo.
“Alright, you know where your lab is, go on.” Ukai gestured for her to leave. “Oh, and can you check on Asahi real quick? We gave him a lot of paperwork.”
“Yeah, totally!” Letting Tiny come back to her, Madaline jogged off, going to the office down the hall and to the right with two theater masks, one looking scared, the other being transparent. “Asa-kun! Can I come in?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, come on in North-chan.” A soft but deep voice answered.
“I’m going to make some drinks after work, do you want something?” The green eyed girl peeked in, her bright eyes meeting his timid look.
“Can I get some peach tea if it’s not too much?” He looked back down at his work, a pile of paperwork next to him.
“It’s not, do you need help with work?” Madaline sat in the seat in front of him, grabbing a pen.
“No, I can do it on my own, thank you though.” The brunet smiled at her focused look. Cute. He went back to work, the girl’s almost non-existent presence calming him. He frowned, remembering the fight he had with Nishinoya earlier that month.
“It’s not your fault, you know.” Madaline spoke, writing peach tea just below her list of things to do. “The loss and the fight. Many heroes have lost battles, don’t let it define you, okay?”
Asahi was silent for a few minutes, the words getting soaked in his heart. “Alright.” He looked at his letter of resignation. Looks like I’m staying a hero. He went to shred it, but the short girl already grabbed it.
“Give this to Noya, he would love to burn this.” The duo laughed.
“You’d be a great hero.” Asahi grabbed the paper, getting up from his desk to go to the elevator.
“Nah, I have animals to take care of.” A frown bit at her lips, but she brushed it off.
Tumblr media
“They’re in the meeting room, and I’m coming with you to take pictures!”
“It’s not to get out of work, is it?” They got in the elevator as they spoke.
“No!” A few seconds later, she was running out the elevator to throw up aurora colored mist. “Yes.” Madaline pouted.
“Okay, you can come with, but we are going to watch over you, alright?” Asahi chuckled.
“Fine.” They walked into the Senshi Unit: Karasuno ‘meeting’ room. Everyone was, surprisingly, there.
“Heyo, everyone!” Madaline smiled, speeding up so she could Will Smith meme Asahi. He only covered his face with the paper, as everyone stood silently.
“Um, Nishinoya, wanna burn this?” Everything was silent for a few minutes, but the mentioned boy cheered, excitedly taking the paper. Lighting crackled around it, and everyone watched it burn with wicked eyes, making the poor ‘ace’ shake.
“Alright, I’m going to work now!” She tried to run to her lab, but was caught by Daichi, who held her up like a cat caught by the scruff of their neck. Felix, the fox spirit, snickered, putting Tiny on his back, while Nina, the cat, shook her head in disappointment.
“Asahi told me that you need to be watched, again?” He smiled ‘kindly’.
“Maybe.” Madaline smiled nervously in response.
Ennoshita stepped in front of her, giving her his chastising glance, tearing another response from her. “Fine, you guys can come.”
“Thank you.” The Karasuno captain nodded. The group walked alongside her, talking animatedly, and Ennoshita, Kinoshita, and Narita had to go do some paperwork, so it was just the six of them. Getting into her lab, which was on the third floor, they immediately stood on the sidelines, watching her work.
Madaline placed Tiny on the island in the middle, tapping the surface with two fingers, making a touchable hologram pop up. Going over to the ‘Celestial Files’ box, she expanded it, the other boxes moving away. Pressing the ‘+’ button, she directed the new spirit to a small pad, letting him off after scanning him.
Name: Tiny
Type: Small
Quirk: Unknown
Animal: Porcupine
Age: 3 or 4
Notes:
Coos when excited and loves attention. Found in the alleyway near the Seijoh Hero Agency, three thugs around him. Do not leave alone.
Most likely could have developed social, separation, and normal anxiety if he was allowed to live longer.
“How many applications have you guys gotten?” Madaline said as she typed.
“Four, applications close tomorrow.” Suga called, looking over the applications. “We got that ‘King of Shadows’ guy.”
“From Kitagawa Daiichi?” Tanaka leaned in.
“Man, I wish I didn’t get suspended.” Nishinoya pouted, crossing his arms.
“It’s okay, Noya! You’ll be able to make a grand entrance when you meet the first years!” Madaline cheered him up.
“Yeah!” He cheered. Madaline uploaded the file to the folder.
“I’m done, can we get something to eat?” She jumped up to Daichi, looking like an excited child.
“Yes, Tanaka, can you text Ennoshita what we’re doing?” The buzzcut haired boy nodded, following as the group left. Suga helped her lock up.
The day continued like that, just hanging out with her friends and trying to avoid the topic of future heroes.
Hero, huh? Madaline thought that night, laying down in her bed. There’s no way! I have the celestials and all the work I have to put in to protect them. With a huff, she turned on her side and fell asleep.
“You’d be a good hero.”

*: There won’t always be a chapter title, so be on the lookout for that!
*: The violence scenes will become more graphic the further I get into the story.
*: You guys know the Northern Lights down in Norway? That’s what I mean when I say “aurora”.
Small note, not very important, Madaline is part Latina, so she speaks Spanish, but as I, the author, don’t, the parts where she speaks in Spanish will be in bold to avoid conflict and butchering words. Thank you for understanding!

Northern Lights
BNHA/Haikyuu Crossover
A very long time ago, during the first appearance of quirks, spirits the color of marigolds also came to light, seemingly normal, that is until quirks started becoming the norm. They started to display powers of their own, making humans go from wary around them, to frightened of them.
They roamed around the Earth, forced to hide themselves in fear of being killed or experimented on. Until a man by the name of Gene North began to see them, to understand them, and interact with them. He was my great-great-great grandfather and he founded the Celestial Protection Operations (CPO). Then my great-great grandfather, Ernie, saw them, and joined the CPO as the top agent, considering him and Gene were the only ones who could interact with them.
Each and every generation had a Celestial Protector, until the last generation, the one with my dad. Quinn North, the only one of the North men who couldn’t see them. Then, he had me. Madaline North. He told me that when I was born, I reached out to something that wasn’t there, until my grandpa gasped when he walked in the room, staring at the exact same thing I was reaching out for. I was the first of my family to see them immediately and be a girl.
I grew up with the spirits and I’ll be damned if they don’t become what they should be. They will be seen as the heroes they are, not monsters.
This story will have photos and 18+ themes, so tread lightly. I will have warnings in just in case, and if I miss anything, don’t be afraid to tell me, I am very open to suggestions and constructive criticism. Thank you for your time, guys. I love you so much!

CHECKMATE
Warning: Verbal Anger, None
Characters: Madaline Jazzarye, Keiji Akaashi, Jupiter, Terrance Falcon, Morisuke Yaku (implied)
SCENE ONE
Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, 7:32 am, April 8th, 2021
“I am very disappointed in most of you.” A middle aged woman, maybe 52 (no one really knows), stood at her desk at the front of the class, a frown creating more wrinkles on her already wrinkly face. “You guys are an English class, you should know that—“ The door was slammed open, a familiar short blonde girl at the doorway, putting the door back on its hinges. “Ms. Jazzarye, I am so glad you came when you did, I just got done with scolding your classmates.”
“Oh, uh,“ Poor Madaline had spent hours reading the entries to the journal and wrote positive notes on them. Hence why she was late to Ms. Fran’s class. “I think Gwendolyn’s entry was more focused on the way animals were treated and the physiological reason, and Hunter’s was masculinity and the toxicity of it.”
“Really?” Ms. Fran started to relax, taking the notes from Madaline’s outstretched hand. “Fine, I will review these later on.” The class sighed in relief. “And as I promised, today is Study Hall, use your time wisely.”
Madaline sat at her desk, immediately getting bombarded with her classmates.
“Thanks, Jazzarye-san! You’re a lifesaver.”
“We are so lucky to have you!”
“Man, we almost got in trouble!”
“Don’t worry about it guys, I knew she would be scolding you guys because she didn’t post last night.” Madaline smiled nervously, waving off their kind comments.
“Alright, guys, stop crowding her.” Akaashi, a friend in her class, pushed them away, giving her her breathing room.
“Thank you, Akaashi.” The blonde sighed in relief, getting her Calculus work out.
“You were uncomfortable.” The calm male smiled softly, sitting in his seat next to her. “Do you need any help with math?”
“Yeah.” Madaline looked defeated as she pointed at the last few questions.
“Well, you had the right idea.” Akaashi chuckled at the excited look she got. “But, you have to remember the steps.”
“Right.” She nodded along as he explained, the amused, calculating, and interested looks he sent her going unnoticed. “Ohhh! The numbers go on the other side!”
“There you go.” It’s moments like these I forget she’s an ex-detective.
“Hey, where’s Yaku?” Her green eyes scanned for the light brunette.
“He got a headache again.” The black haired male sighed, shaking his head.
“Ah, jeez, I told him to go to sleep early.” She puffed her cheeks out in a pout.
“You know him, always working.”
“Still, he should know his limits.”
“I’ll tell him you said that.” The duo laughed.
Before they could say anything else, the principal’s voice came over the intercom. “All students and staff please report to the auditorium, now. I repeat, all students and staff to the auditorium.”
A confused and concerned aura washed over the class, maybe even the whole school as everyone packed up and left. The halls were swarmed by fellow peers and a few adults passing by, and there was no indication that they would be stopping at any time soon. Madaline stepped closer to Akaashi, considering she doesn’t like crowds, and held his hand with both of her own. He noticed her unease, and squeezed her hands softly as they got into the auditorium, only to squeeze harder when seeing she got even more nervous upon seeing who was on the stage. The head detective of the Miyagi Detective Agency, Terrence.
“For those of you who don’t know me, I am Detective Terrence Falcon of the Miyagi Detective Agency.” The old man spoke once he was given the go ahead. “As many of you may know, a dumpster with human ashes was set on fire, we are currently trying to find the culprit and advise you to stay inside or travel in pairs or more.” He bowed. “On behalf of the agency, I would like to thank you for your time and patience, everyone will be dismissed from class early.”
As everyone filed out, two people remained, one looking at an absolutely livid girl next to him. Her usually light green eyes with amber rims were a dark forest green and a deep frown was on her usually happy face.
Letting go of Akaashi’s hand, Madaline strode down towards the man with her head held high. “The hell are you doing here?”
“Protecting the prefecture? What else?” Terrence raised a grey eyebrow.
“You know the rules, your boss said not to meddle with schools or anything of the sort unless absolutely necessary.” The blonde hissed.
“Well, that rule was changed a while ago. Now, no one is allowed to kill without a license and a reason, thus this is a problem.” His apathetic eyes looked away and he walked off.
“Madaline, come on.” Akaashi tugged on her hand, worried.
“I hate detectives.” She grumbled as they walked to the cafe. “Pompous assholes.”
“They’re doing their job.” The black haired male smiled.
“They don’t have to act like they’re on top of the world though.” Annoyance floated in her eyes, a scowl on her face. That until she was poked in the side, making her giggle.
“I hate it when you’re mad, you’re so pretty, don’t waste all that beauty on being petty.” He smiled, opening the door for her. It took a minute to realize what he said, and she was on the ground, blushing like a madwoman.
“There she goes, what did you say?” Jupiter laughed.
“The truth.” Akaashi said simply, shrugging.
“That doesn’t answer my--. You know what, nevermind.” They shook their head, helping Madaline up. To their shock, and amusement, she puffed out her cheeks to calm down, and it surprisingly worked. She speed walked into the kitchen to start making an apple, lavender, and ginger tea, pouting as she did so. Soon, the trio were chilling out together as she whisked around chefs to make the tea for Yaku.
“I’m just saying, if Ian wanted to, he could light his house on fire just by walking into the kitchen.” Jupiter took a sip of their beer like they were sipping tea.
“Okay, I think it’s time for us to go.” Madaline laughed, leaving with a hug, handing Akaashi a thermos once they were outside. “Tell, Yaku if it’s too cold, to warm it up in a pot, not the microwave.”
“Got it.” And with the tea in his hand and a goodbye hug, the duo separated, the gunmetal blue eyed pretty boy going left, and the short girl going right, towards the college.

Checkmate (HQ!! Mafia AU)
ACT ZERO; SCENE ZERO
Warning(s): Violence
Characters: Madaline Jazzarye (OC), Ian Herrera (OC), Ryan Garret (OC), Jupiter Opal (OC), Terrence Falcon (OC)
Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, 1:46 am, April 6th, 2021
In the game of chess, you have multiple players; the lowest being the pawn. Nimble fingers fluttered across the keyboard. The highest being the king; who is overestimated. Focused green eyes not once looked down to see if she was typing correctly. But every player has its purpose; the more experience you have with the game, the more you know how to use them to your advantage. She leaned back in her desk chair, putting her laptop in her lap to make herself more comfortable. The queen is known widely for being the most powerful piece, but is underestimated. Pressing enter on her keyboard, the small girl sent in her response to the next day’s journal entry for English with an accomplished sigh.
“Do you really think Mrs. Fran will understand what you’re trying to say?” An amused voice chimed in from the other side of the dorm.
“God, I hope so, I’m not very good at explaining my answers.” Madaline whined, closing her computer and putting it on the desk.
“Same, but I’m pretty sure she’ll give you a good grade since you’re her favorite.” Ian snickered.
“I am not.” The blonde rolled her eyes.
“You have better grades than anyone in the whole grade!” He fought against.
“That’s because I actually work.” She acted as if she was thinking. “Come to think of it, where’s your homework?”
The white haired male flinched at her chastising tone. “It’s with Ryan.”
“Why is it with your boyfriend?” Her tone was deathly calm.
“I was gonna go to his house but I wanted to hangout with you since it’s been a long time!” Ian chuckled nervously.
“You two live together!” Madaline threw a pillow at her best friend. “You’re gonna go home anyways!”
“Gah! Wait!” The duo laughed as they started a pillow fight. Five minutes later, they were on the floor just chilling when a knock came to the door.
“Coming!” Rushing to the door, Madaline swung it open to see a rather tall male with an amused grin on his pierced lips. “Here to pick up a package?”
“Only if that package has white hair.” Ryan smirked, rolling his eyes.
“Oh thank god, this package was a hassle to handle.” Madaline and Ryan laughed before a white blur latched itself to the tall man. “Make sure he does his schoolwork.”
“Will do. See you tomorrow, Jazz.” The black haired male walked off with Ian still clinging onto him.
“Bye Jazzie!” Ian called, waving enthusiastically.
“Bye!” Madaline closed her door after seeing them turn the corner. Good thing I’m the only one that lives in this dorm. Locking her door and her window and closing the curtains, she hopped in bed, slowly falling asleep.
Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, 8:37 am, April 7th, 2021
Another morning, another alarm clock destroyed. Glaring at the pile of metal, plastic, and wires that were at her door, Madaline lazily rolled out of bed, standing up. The white ripped jeans, red n’ black flannel, a tank top with constellations on it, and the white skater beanie were taken off her dresser and to the dresser as Madaline dragged herself to take a shower. After walking out in new clothes and shoving her brown combat boots and green bomber jacket on, she grabbed her satchel, locked her dorm and was off, rushing down the stairs to the main gate. Okay, today I don’t have any classes, so I can work on editing! I have a few commissions to finish up and I’ll be done! The small cafe she frequents, PRIDE, was seen up ahead, making her speed up.
The familiar chime of the bell above the door caused her to smile, sitting at her usual spot at the window seat in the middle.
A waiter came, a grin on their face. “Your usual?”
“You know me too well, Jupiter.” Madaline took her laptop from her satchel as the lanky person left. They came back with a hot chocolate and a few pieces of Canadian bacon.
The bell rang once again and two pairs of feet came crashing in, flopping into the seat across from the blonde. “Took you guys long enough.” Madaline sang.
“Sorry, Jazzie, he woke up late.” Ian playfully glared at Ryan.
“I know, usually it’s around this time your guys’ home smells like coffee, I didn’t smell coffee when I passed by, so I just assumed you guys were running late.” She took a bite of her bacon.
“I hate it when you do that.” Ryan slammed his head on the table.
“You kidding? I think it’s so cool!” Ian and Jupiter cheered, Jupiter joining Madaline on the bench.
“Glad to know that you two think it’s amusing.” The black haired male leaned his head against the palm of his hand.
“Oh, Jazzie, did you see the student newspaper?” Jupiter started to go through their satchel.
“I don’t like politics.” The green eyed girl whined. The quartet ignored the bell as it rang, indicating someone had walked in.
“It’s not about politics, a dumpster was set on fire, and when the fire station put it out, there was ashes in it.” The dyed blue haired person had sparkles in their eyes.
“Well, I would sure hope so if there was trash in the dumpster.” Madaline giggled. The duo that walked in sat at the table next to the four friends listening.
“You know, for an ex-detective-in-training, I would think you would have a bit more superstition.” Ian sighed, shaking his white hair.
“For a science major, I would think you would have a bit more common sense.” She shot back.
“Shh! I’m still talking!” Jupiter hissed, waving their hands around. “There were human ashes, Maddie. Human. H-U-M--”
“No need to spell it out for me, I can hear you.” She rubbed underneath her right ear, the way Jupiter was talking was too loud.
“The article also said it could’ve been one of those abilities mafias.” They leaned forward, wiggling their fingers creepily.
“Stop scaring my boyfriend.” Ryan hugged Ian, who was shaking, close to his chest, looking blankly at the waiter with his red eyes.
“There’s no need to be scared, Ian, we have Maddie!” Jupiter smirked, wrapping his arm around the said girl’s shoulders.
“I don't trust you with her! You’d end up somehow throwing her down the stairs!” Ian yelled, only to be shushed.
“Sorry.” Madaline waved at the patrons of the restaurant apologetically. “Ian, What have I said about yelling?”
   “Sorry, Jazz.” He pouted.
“Thank you.” She went back to editing. “Anyways, anything else I need to know about this dumpster fire?”
“Yeah! The SC company said the whole fifty foot radius of the dumpster was a total black out!” Jupiter’s excited persona was back, making them look like an over excited puppy.
“Interesting.” Despite her bored tone, Madaline’s eyes narrowed.
“Hey, we should go to your dorm to hangout!” Ian chimed in, suddenly feeling very uneasy.
“Why do you guys choose my dorm?” The freckled girl whined, packing up her items.
“Because you’re the only one that keeps your place clean.” Ryan chuckled.
The four friends talked the whole way to her home, greeting the security guard as they passed. Once they got in the dorm and locked the door, Ian placed a hand over his stomach, alerting the group.
“Jeez, something was wrong in there.” The blue eyed male shivered.
“Madaline, did you smell anything odd?” Jupiter frowned.
“Not that I can think of, I can try to go back tomorrow and see.” The blonde answered, her eyebrows furrowing.
“That’s an expression we haven’t seen in a long time.” Ryan called out, bringing back the doe eyed innocence back to her soft features.
“Aw, man, you made it go away!” Ian and Jupiter whined.
“Oh, please, guys, I’m just going to check it out because my friend is worried about it.” Madaline pouted, crossing her arms.
“Whatever you say, Jazzie.” Ian rolled his eyes.
The three then looked away from Madaline, and she looked out the window a confused but frustrated feeling bubbling up inside of her.

My friend: *listening to my teacher try to explain something*
Me: ok boomer
Friend: *slowly shoves me into the wall*
Both of us: *start laughing*
Teacher: *calls me out*
Me: I did nothing!
Okay, a little bit of context, my friend and I had a lot of energy right then and we were silently making fun of him. I don’t have funny moments in my life, other than the time a kid said to her brother, who was hiding from her. “I’m going to tell mom you kidnapped me.” That was funny.
