It’s been six years…

Six years since I first heard any kpop song.

Six years since I heard BTS and started following them.

Six years this summer since I published my first BTS fanfic: The Sanctuary.

It’s been seven years since I started writing any fanfiction. I started with Percy Jackson and the Olympians, back before Rick ruined his own story world, and I promised myself I wouldn’t leave those unfinished. Promised myself they wouldn’t be abandoned like so many other fics happened to be.

I’ve struggled through different things, and my writing has grown a lot in the past seven years.

I’ve grown a lot in the last seven years.

But I broke a lot of promises to myself too.

I told myself it didn’t matter if people liked my stories.

But I loved that they did.

I told myself I didn’t care how many readers I had.

But going from a five to a thousand and back down to five showed me how wrong I was.

I may not have abandoned any stories, but I definitely haven’t updated them in a long time, mostly because the world of PJO as I knew and loved it was destroyed.

I haven’t abandoned any of the BTS stories I’ve started, but I’ve fallen in and out of writers block with almost all of them.

I told myself a long time ago that writing fanfic was for *me*. But I sort of abandoned that a long time ago.

Fanfic got me through college. If I hadn’t had it, I would have gone mad, or something.

But the last six months fanfic hasn’t been something I’ve enjoyed writing. It’s been a chore. A desperate struggle to grasp onto the ideas I once loved. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always coming up with new ideas, jotting down a couple scenes or a few thousand words or even full stories.

But I was right. I have to write for me.

So, I’ve been working on stories, non fanfic stories. Nothing is very far, but I’m writing. And it’s been helping me slowly work on other things. As has Keri’s enthusiasm and the project we started together and are working on.

I have a job, a good, stable job, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to take a little time everyday to slowly complete all of the outstanding series that I’ve got going. Get down to something more manageable, or to stop entirely. I don’t know what the future holds.

Anyway, that’s all I really wanted to say, so, hopefully I’ll have a story update for you soon.

Harvest Moon: Halloween! Werewolf!Taehyung x Reader: You live a normal life, in a normal little town, but it’s the Wolf-Harvest Festival, and the moon is full.

Recipe for Fluff: Halloween! Hybrid!Jungkook x reader, Sanctuary Universe: Fall has come, and with it tons of yummy foods that inevitably help you put on some weight for winter hibernation. Jungkook loves his squirrel, fluff and all.

As a nymph, Hoseok was hard to track using magic.

Yay him.

It made him a prime candidate for an excursion into the nearby city, with Jimin and Taehyung.

Yippee.

He was so honored.

So thrilled.

Taehyung scratched at the collar, looking sort of miserable as they waited to cross the street.

Jimin had the leash in a death grip.

Hoseok couldn’t figure out how he’d lived in Seoul for as long as he had, because everything about the city was just…overwhelming now. The smells, the sounds, even the sights seemed harsh to him, and he was longing to be back in the forest, heading back to their new sentient home.

Jungkook had shown up when Ava was supposed to for work that morning, looking apologetic and explaining that Ava hadn’t wanted to inconvenience you but she was down with some major morning-sickness that had Namjoon all protective and such.

You didn’t mind, putting the bunny-hybrid to work with some of the simpler tasks that could be explained in two sentences or less. You did worry that it wasn’t just morning sickness, since your father had come down with a nasty cold just a day or two ago (thankfully he hadn’t been helping make candies in that time, but he had come by to buy some tea one of those days during his lunch-break). You didn’t want her getting actually sick, and you’d banned your family accordingly.

This did mean that you were behind on sugar pulling.

And you did have a muscle-y bunny there.

Seokjin looked over the others with worry gnawing at his stomach.

Taehyung and Yoongi were still shifted, which meant they weren’t really ready to be human yet, which meant Seokjin hadn’t been able to explain what he had in mind yet.

Already the stone around them seemed to be vibrating with this idea of pleasing him. Of bending to his will.

This cave was old, and thrumming with magic. Magic older than most people.

“Hyung, you look nervous,” Namjoon whispered, sitting down beside him.

Seokjin sighed and reached out, rubbing Namjoon’s neck. “Just…trying not to get antsy while we wait for the other two to…get in better headspace.”

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I've been working on this idea for a while since it was the only thing that came into my inbox! I've been going through some stuff (lost my job, family stuff, etc) though so it came out shorter than I intended, but here's your Halloween story Idea! I hope you enjoy it ----

You shook your head and finished applying your makeup, trying to ignore the sounds of the boys chaos as they got ready as well. Finding a group costume for eight people was difficult, and you'd left the task to them.

The level of surprise when they came back with only three ideas was very low.

Them settling on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Microscopically low.

The biggest issue?

They were all taller than you. So, unless Namjoon took on the roll of snow white, none of the dwarves would be dwarves.

But they'd elected to just continue as Snow White and the seven Dwarf-Giants.

Personally, you'd preferred Jin's suggestion of going as Mario characters, but such was life. Majority rules when it comes to halloween.

You'd suggested foregoing the party altogether and staying home to binge halloween movies in peace.

You checked over your makeup again and then went out. "Well, how does this look?"

They paused in their playful banter to check you over.

"Wow! You look so pretty!" Jimin said, grinning.

The others quickly agreed and you used that time to check them all over. "Well, you're the tallest dwarves I've ever seen."

They seemed pretty pleased with that.

"You're the prettiest Snow White in existence," Jungkook countered.

You smiled, pleased gestured toward the door. "Well, shall we go to this party?"

They agreed and scrambled to grab their last-minute things.

A/N: This is long as heck, so I hope you guys enjoy it, it’s not the normal zombie au type so bear with me, and I got caught up in details. All the details. But here is your story, @ditttiii, my baby bird. And It’s technically still the 29th, but I was formatting it anyway and thought, hey, only a few hours away for me! Happy almost halloween!

You walked carefully, furtively looking around.

Then you spotted it, lifting your machete….

And quickly sliced down and through it, cutting it off at the neck.

Severing it’s lifeline.

How else would you dispatch it?

You straightened up with a grin, putting your machete again. “Perfect! You’ll make a fine jack-o-lantern! And your buddy will make a fantastic pumpkin pie!”

The pumpkins didn’t respond, not that you expected them too.

You picked the smaller one up by the vine and cradled the other in your arm, humming happily as you headed back toward your home.

Sure, there was a zombie apocalypse going on. In fact, most people had retreated to the shelters and military safety zones.

But…you hadn’t actually seen another soul for a couple months, or a zombie since last spring.

It was an unspoken rule that Taehyung was supposed to pretend that he didn’t hear some conversations when he was shifted. It was a rule for Yoongi, too, but again, an unspoken one.

So Taehyung had to pretend that he didn’t hear Jimin kissing Namjoon while they were getting bedding (glorious, soft, warm bedding) from the magical storage unit.

And he had to pretend he didn’t hear Seokjin whisper that he loved his babies.

And he had to pretend that he hadn’t heard Seokjin’s entire conversation with Yoongi about his heritage and abilities. That he hadn’t heard Yoongi speaking, clearly back in human form and apparently naked (something Taehyung was itching to sneak a peek at). That he hadn’t heard that Yoongi chose to stay in cat form for a little longer.

It was a lot of pretending and Taehyung was feeling a little pouty about it.

“Joonie-hyung?” Jimin tried again, waving a hand in front of his hyung’s face in the hopes that his hyung would be coming out of the trance at any moment. He knew that he couldn’t force his hyung out of the memory-trance, but normally it was over in seconds.

This one had been going for close to ten minutes.

They’d just been exploring to see if there was an easier way out of the caves than climbing. They were supposed to follow their tunnel, go as straight as possible and then turn around after a certain amount of time and go straight back.

Jimin, still feeling a little…exposed to the world, had been eager to go back as soon as they reached the decided time-marker.

But then Namjoon had touched something, frowned and kept going. “Just a little further.”

He’d indulged at first, but then he’d insisted on turning back.

That’s where things got difficult.
