I think there was a quote from Suzanne Collins from around 2012 about how one of the things the Capital took from her was the joy of experiencing first love. I also think it might have been in the official movie companion book which I do not own. I feel like I remember this too specifically to have just made it up, but I can't find it from searching online. Search engines are garbage these days, though, so maybe a fellow THG fan on here knows what I'm talking about and can provide me the quote?

I just realized that the terrible job Gale made towards trying to get with Katniss means that Gale isn’t actually good with girls. Every girl he’s gotten he’s most likely gotten based entirely on pretty privilege and the general mystique that surrounded him because he was a hunter. Gale hasn’t figured out how to be smooth with girls yet during canon and that’s so darn funny to me cause Peeta slid out of sophomore year a smooth talking idiot with game for days.

I laughed out loud with this one! It's a great verse; it's exactly the climax of the book of Ruth. Without context though, it just seems either bizarre or part of a super mundane conversation about buying shoes.
