recently replayed ac: black flag and i can’t tell you how many times i cried. it’s way too many to count.

in other news, my felicity spring gown is almost finished! all i have to do now is add sleeves, finish up the petticoat, and add the trim! what sucks is that in like a month it won’t be spring anymore🧍‍♀️but hey, it’s a light colored linen gown. it’s perfect for summer in virginia too.

honestly pretty happy with this gown so far. i was like really worried about the neckline of the gown, but nothing a kerchief can’t fix. with my shift, it’s like way too big, but like i said, it’ll be hidden by the kerchief and tucker.

now onto adding the skirt

okay, i hate to get like this but i really just want to rant.

so there was this old house dating from 1790s-1800s in my city and about 2 years ago it was moved a few yards from its original spot. with a building being that old, it had its original outbuildings and everything. well it did. when they moved the main building, they tore down all the outbuildings. you may be asking yourself, what did they replace it with?

there are literally five shopping centers surrounding it. FIVE. there definitely doesn’t need to be another one. obviously there’s nothing anyone can do now, it’s already built. but today i found out, they’re gutting the house and tearing it down. it pissed me off because it could’ve been used for something. ANYTHING. same goes with the outbuildings. they could’ve turned it into offices or something because it was such a beautiful house and the land was so beautiful with trees surrounding the somewhat perfectly preserved outbuildings. all that replaced with a shopping center. all that beauty with the need to expand and put more stores from companies that are already making enough money.

so that’s my rant and let me get off my soapbox here. it’s a shame, but it’s something nobody could have really avoided(maybe i could have if i was my age now and cared a lot more, would’ve been a good girl scout gold award project)

oh and chemistry. and email my apush teacher everyday about a cool historical fact because he found my daily facts last semester interesting.
