I miss having snakes more than anyone can ever know, but making the move to Hawaii has been so wonderful for my mental health. I’m so glad I did it.

I also recently got a new job that I love. It involves driving tourists around and telling them facts and legends about the island. Sure, they’re typically 12-14 hour days, but the good news is I only work 3-4 days a week. It’s also good money and has been super fun.

Plus now I have this little one to dote on, which is very exciting.

Okay this is a little different of a question. I already have some snakes and I was wondering about making a more "fancy" hide for them. I have a smelter at home here and was wondering if melting down pop cans and pouring them into a mold if the tin/other substances would be toxic to the animals. I have been looking on line but don't really see anything on it. Thanks :)

That is incredibly interesting o.o I personally wouldn’t use metal for hides, because of humidity requirements for some species (and all species when in shed) the metal would likely rust. I do know a person who would help out in making hides but she’s not on tumblr anymore, just facebook. I also think @wheremyscalesslither made that little castle for her lucy ratsnake? Or did you get it from somewhere? I don’t remember :P Anyways if you were to make a hide it would be better to use something other than metal to make it with :)
