My brother has been on my case about seeing Wonka (2023) because I hadn’t seen it yet and I thought it was so crazy that he enjoyed the movie enough to keep pestering me to watch it because he isn’t really a musical person. Like I’ve tried to get him to watch Newsies and he flat out refuses so I was like “there must be something special about this Wonka movie if this musical hater likes it” so I watched it yesterday and y’all…it’s so endearing! Is it the most amazing movie I’ve ever seen? No, but that doesn’t detract from its value. It’s simple and wholesome, and sometimes that’s all you need. This is my official petition for Hollywood to make more quirky, wholesome, whimsical, simple movies like that

Note to vacationing non-Americans: while it’s true that America doesn’t always have the best food culture, the food in our restaurants is really not representative of what most of us eat at home.  The portions at Cheesecake Factory or IHOP are meant to be indulgent, not just “what Americans are used to.”

If you eat at a regular American household, during a regular meal where they’re not going out of their way to impress guests, you probably will not be served twelve pounds of chocolate-covered cream cheese.  Please bear this in mind before writing yet another “omg I can’t believe American food” post.

Isnt it weird that hotel rooms provide toilet paper, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, and ive even seen some provide make removal wipes, but I’ve never seen a single one provide pads or tampons?
