I'm sorry, but it's such a waste, that scene where Ketheric goes to punch Gortash, but Orin stops him with the Bhaal dagger.
Like can you imagine if Ketheric was spiteful enough to say, you know the Dark Urge is still alive?
If he'd dropped that bombshell on him right then and there, to sow some discord between the two people who just tag teamed him?
Like oh, you're best buddies with Orin, huh, how cute, you're just the best of friends, aren't you? Well try and remember: she killed your wife. BUT ALSO, that wife is still alive, and they're mad as fucking hell. And they're fucking coming for me.
and then you.
so pick your fucking side now, Chosen of Bane.
that would've been priceless. it would've been such an interesting scene, setting the two of them against each other and yes, sure, revealing that you knew Gortash and Orin earlier. but so fucking what?
the Chosen of Bhaal reveal is boring anyway and feels plopped in there randomly.
at least hint that Gortash and Orin know you too, and that you're far more important than you even imagined.
and in hindsight, it's cool because it shows you already that these two are not the united front that they originally seemed to be, and their alliance was based on necessity, not genuine desire for partnership.
throwing the dark urge into that conversation would've been so awesome, and hinted at the two of them being like factions you have to choose between.
you all are drawing cute as heck Mantis / Nebula art and i LOVE it, keep up the good work, but i dont think you realize this is literally one of the highest angst potential pairings i’ve ever seen.
• all their trauma is paralleled
• no one is building into Mantis’ sense of worth
• Nebula would probably be just as guarded of her feelings as Gamora was
• both have no model of what an affectionate relationship looks like
• Mantis has never not been dependant on others
• Nebula is afraid of having to depend on someone else
• both carry the weight of deaths that aren’t entirely their faults
like the amount of shit they’d have to work through just to have a functional relationship is ASTOUNDING and i’m just not seeing the conversation
.......Kara didn't learn calculus as a preschooler and be forced to assimilate into a brand new culture for you to call her a himbo she's not dumb????? she hates exercise and was gonna be a scientist on krypton.
The only reason what she does now involves the physical is because she automatically has muscles from the sun. the only running she ever did was what was strictly required to be a healthy child and probably whatever defense training Astra gave her.
the ones who are very into exercise and physical things or at least will do them willingly: Lucy, former army officer. Alex, surfing champion and DEO agent. Lena, who drags kara with her to "exercise." Astra, the general with combat experience pre Earth time. Cat Grant, who constantly goes to Pilates and Spin and has a personal trainer.
tl;dr Kara is beefcake bc the yellow sun gives her powers. More aus where when Kara isn't a Kryptonian raised on Earth she'd HATE anything involving exercise or physical activity. Like she's v much that line from parks and rec from Ann of she does it to keep her healthy but man at what cost
I think it's hilarious that most side media both canon and legends I think tells us that not only do initiates live communally but the Padawans seem to as well, living in dorms, but fandom has collectively decided that Padawans live with their Masters. Personally I'm always torn about it because I think world building wise and thematically it does make much more sense for the Padawans and under to live communally but I also love them being close quarters with their Masters. I guess the easy solution would be for the Jedi Masters to have a spare room that the Padawan can sleep in when they want or need to, while still maintaining a spot in the dorms. Either way it's fun to think about.
