Hello my dear followers. It has been quite a long time since I didn’t post anything but these past weeks were quite hectic with presentations, online classes and assignments. By the way, how are you all? Well, I hope that you are taking great care of yourselves and your loved ones.
As for me, I will be very soon on holidays and God knows how badly I need a break lol. It’s the end of my “Bringing Technological Innovation in the classroom” module and it was an immense pleasure to share my experiences each week with you. Tumblr is such a nice platform. It is trendy, adapted to the taste of youngsters and I really wanted to choose a platform which is well known to people. To be honest, there isn’t a single feature that I dislike with Tumblr.
Well, my aim was to make people, especially teachers  aware of the benefits of bringing technology in the classroom and I really hope that I was able to convince you. It is true that there are some challenges to consider but trust me the benefits outweigh them.
I was very happy to familiarise myself much more with technology during this module and I learnt so many useful things that I can integrate in my classes. Thanks to my lecturer for that.
En tant qu’enseignante de français à devenir, j’ai envie que mes élèves puissent aimer cette langue et si je dois avoir recours à la technologie pour rendre mes cours plus interessants je le ferai sans hésitation.
Sending lots of kisses on your way. Don’t hesitate to like and follow!  A plus ;)

Videos ! Hello everyone, hope you are fine. I am back again after my Easter break with some new discoveries. Did you know that some students learn best with visual aids such as posters, PowerPoints and videos? They are known as visual learners. Educational videos help students better grasp the content of a topic and they can also be used for revision. We are living in the 21st century and it is very important for teachers to implement new pedagogies in the classroom. They should no more limit themselves to a textbook. The disadvantage is that videos require technological support and necessary hosting resources which some classrooms might lack. I firmly believe that videos can  be a nice way of motivating pupils and making learning less boring. So, my dear teachers don’t hesitate to bring innovation in your classroom. Believe me your students will be happier :) I have look for some useful videos on YouTube that will help students and teachers. Have a look at my Google sheet you will have all the information you need. Click on the link.

Class Dojo
Coucou tout le monde. Here I am, back again to talk to you about an absolutely amazing new method of teaching. Since the year 2019, we have realised the importance of e-teaching and e-learning due to this pandemic. Google classroom, teams, zoom are conventional ways of teaching and assigning tasks at a distance. Little did I know that Class Dojo existed until our lecturer asked us to create one and, trust me it is so visually attractive!
Dojo would be a fun way to encourage my students to take their French classes and do their homework seriously by awarding and deducting points for positive and negative behaviour respectively. I will be frequently in touch with parents and it is also a way for them to monitor their children's performance on a regularly basis. Therefore, they won't be shocked if ever they see that their wards have not performed well at the end of the year. Apart from parents, it is also possible to add other teachers. Moreover you can use cute avatars to represent your students and these small things increase the interest of students to learn. I guess the only disadvantage is that it reduces face-to-face interaction and sometimes parents really want to interact in person with teachers.
Don’t hesitate dear teachers. Search for Class Dojo on Google and take online teaching a new step forward. You and your students will love it :)

Diigo!
Hello my dear followers! Last week, I shared some interesting information with you concerning a social bookmarking tool known as Diigo. I don’t have much to add about this AMAZING social bookmarking tool. But, I have created a Diigo outliner for my subject area and it is an immense pleasure for me to share it with you. I hope that you like French literature as this is the topic of my outliner. I think it will be useful to those who do not really know what are the important aspects to consider when analysing a literary text.
Here is the link. Hope you’ll like it. Till then, stay safe and take great care of yourselves during these tough times. Bonne lecture.

Social Bookmarking Tools
Good evening beautiful people. Have you ever heard about social bookmarking tools? If not, let me share with you what I have learnt this week. I think that we, teachers should start teaching our students the importance of collecting, categorizing and tagging resources. All these functions can be carried out using a social bookmarking tool or app.
Social bookmarking is a way to make those students who find doing research a cumbersome task be more engaged. Students can personalize their learning in boards, magazines and walls. Some examples of bookmarking tools are Diigo, Delicious, Digg, Reddit among others.
I have chosen Diigo as Social Bookmarking tool and I have bookmarked a nice video concerning “les pluriels des mots composés”.
As a future French teacher, I am definitely going to use this Social Bookmarking tool with my Grade 12 and Grade 13 students to discuss argumentative essays. It gets students to create collections for any unit, topic or to share additional resources for a project. Not only these resources can be shared with my students but I can also share it with teachers. Moreover, students can share their bookmarks among themselves too. Diigo is such a nice way of collecting and sharing knowledge. However, while Diigo is free for all educators or teachers that successfully apply, the free account gives limited access to the various online tools offered by Diigo.
Social Bookmarking Tool, a fun way of doing research to inspire life long learners.

Hey everyone! Well, hope you are fine. Remember some days ago I told you I had found a fun way of learning known as Kahoot? Guess what, I discovered another super fun online assessment tool that allow both teachers and students to create and play another’s quizzes. This one is known as Quizizz.
It does not only include multiple choice questions but also open ended questions, fill in the blank questions and polls. When using Quizizz, you do not have to project the question on a board or screen just like Kahoot. Each student has access to their own question and answer game play. Unfortunately, they will be more engaged with the device than with each other, thereby limiting human interaction.
It is also possible to see which questions have well been answered and which one was wrongly answered. I have created mine and played the Quizizz of some friends and to be honest, it was really exciting and engaging. You can include captivating images under each questions and there is a nice music in the background. Moreover, Fun Memes are added to questions once they are answered such as streaks, power up and immunity if you have not well answered a single question only. The game is so visually attractive.
Here is the link to join my Quizizz. Amusez-vous tout en apprenant le français.

Kahoot!
Hello guys. I’ve recently discovered an exciting tool for learning. Kahoot is a game based learning platform. I would recommend this to teachers as it will definitely bring fun and engagement to their students. It is also a way for teachers to test the understanding level of their students through multiple choice quizzes. If my teachers implemented Kahoot at the time I was a student, I am sure that I would have found their class less boring and monotonous. I guess it is also a way to reduce the stress level of students about the fear of formative assessments and traditional methods.
The drawback about Kahoot is that it is impossible to play without an internet connection and the necessary gadgets. Moreover, the questions are mainly on the teacher’s screen which can be a problem for visually impaired students.
It is very easy to create, share and play. I have created my own Kahoot. You are free to try it. Not to forget that I am a future French teacher therefore my Kahoot  is based on french verbs. Bonne chance et bonne révision des verbes :)

Good afternoon dear followers. Today, I am going to share about Learning Management System. So, what are  learning management systems?
Learning Management Systems are platforms designed to help instructors manage educational coursework online. It can be any educational institution such as schools, colleges, universities and so forth. Some common examples of LMS I am familiar with are Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom. I also had the opportunity to create my own Google classroom where I post explanations about a French literature book entitled “La Porte étroite” which I am actually teaching to my fellow peers and I also assign classwork to them.
Some of my  lecturers make use of Microsoft Teams so that we have course material accessible online, including lesson content, assignments, and assessments.
Personally, I think we should make maximum use of learning management systems. Thanks to these tools for making learning possible at a distance during this pandemic crisis. Covid-19 has changed our life and the way of teaching. Let’s we, future teachers adopt e-teaching and e-learning methods and techniques. Until then, stay safe and take care.

I would like to share with you what I’ve learnt about Open educational resources during my “Bringing technological innovation in the classroom” classes. OERs are any type of educational materials used for teaching, learning, assessing as well as for research purposes. They can be text, medias or any digital assets. These resources are accessible to anyone and the users can use them according to their needs. SlideShare is an example of OER. Here is a link I have explored in SlideShare. By clicking on the link, you’ll have access to a panoply of information related to OERs.
