We are still going forward with releasing a tape each month this year, last month difficulties arose with an artist not being ready, and my duplicator needing repairs.

The world is engulfed in cancers, famines, genocides, cycles of abuse, unconscious people living on autopilot. We have the power collectively to end these cycles, to make and do better for each other. This album shows some ugly truths, sheds light on issues that No Curfew Kids had yet to put to recording.

Noizgras - It Gets More Betterer (WIC056)

Genre: Noise/Musical Comedy Location: Greensboro, NC Releases January 12th 2024

Noizgras is the solo project of Zee Schmitty, a political activist and banjo player living in Greensboro. This cassette features side splitting comedic takes on the political climate of the US paired with distorted banjo tracks and guitar pedal manipulation creating vacuums of contemplative noise to cleanse the palette between punchlines.

This cassette is premiering at a show in Greenville, being played by Noizgras as well as Vermin Supreme (yes, the real one). Come to the show to get one!

Label Update 2024

If you follow us on instagram or just happened to notice some other way, we decided after Bandcamp fired most of it's union after changing hands that we could no longer support the platform. As such, we deleted the webstore. All of our tapes are now unavailable anywhere online, and we have no future plans to sell tapes in this way.

However, the label is not over. We are switching up drastically, almost reverting back to the original days of the label. What I mean by this is that we are continuing by signing only local North Carolina artists and distributing releases through local record shops. I will keep this Tumblr updated as to the recent releases, and if you ask nicely enough, I can send free digital copies of any past or future release of ours.
